Story
Meet scarah. She is 2 years and 5months old. Weighs 88lbs. She is looking for a home that would be suitable for a big back yard and preferably on a farm. Having a duty and job. She loves the outdoors and loves to play outside and fetch . She loves her walks and She loves her belly rubs and also her spa days. Unfortunately she suffers from separation anxiety and does not do well with other animals as she is anxious and show’s aggression towards other animals. She does well with other humans but does bark when someone enters the home she doesn’t know. Scarah is looking for a family who doesn’t have any other animals and only her and who will love her unconditionally and be with her a lot during the day. We are broken by this decision but hoping our children and the family can visit her from time to time. Scarah does take anxiety medication on a daily basis for her separation anxiety. She is hoping for her forever home and receives love like she receives here now .

Story
Meet Ellie! We adopted this now 11 month old puppy just a month ago. This sweet dog needs alot more attention then we'd thought! She loves to play with you and give kisses all the time! She needs a good sized fenced-in yard to do her zoomies in! She is great with kids and dogs but chases the cats all over the place. She is mainly looking for a playmate, would love to be in a house with a doggy friend! She is still slightly in the chewing stage and cannot have any soft toys or they will be torn but she will leave furniture alone! She loves her treats as well as how much she loves you and anyone she meets! She is house trained. But she does have two things that you might need to help her with. Whenever she meets someone she loves to jump on them for a greeting and needs leash training but, we have been working with her on these two things with commands like sit, stay, lay down, come, which is progressing well and is also crate trained. She’s the best happy dog to have for a family!

Story
Sometimes it boggles the mind how many lives a dog can touch. Nicholas arrived at CharWill Rescue as an injured pup.. his rear left leg was damaged. He was getting around , and using it for stability. He had embarked on a journey to the north from a southern state. He was a small confused male shepherd, but one that was still accepting and affectionate. After vet evaluations and time in a foster home, he was adopted by first time shepherd owners and little Nicholas settled in. Turns out that the poor hapless creature blossomed into himself .. a quick , smart, intense almost working line type of a dog, who while still very affectionate, balanced that with complete and utter devotion to his new people. This devotion consumed him as did the unresolved leg injury. He became overprotective. After massive swelling and the ensuing infection, the decision was made by his loving owners to amputate the leg. After his surgery, he spent seven weeks recovering. He made it through very well. He has been able to handle circumstances that may have broken others. Nickolas is quite tough..and resilient. Without missing a beat he was manuvering pain free on three legs. This all led up to a 3 week board and train, at a facility in Marlton NJ specializing in training and socialization. Administered by former military canine personnel, Nicholas impressed his handlers and trainer with his willingness to please, his sharpness, and intelligence.. He is trained on commands as well as a pulse collar (dogtrac) that reminds him his handler is watching. He is clever. He did well in his training and with the daily play times with other dogs. K9 Basics Marlton NJ matches dogs with wounded veterans as a public service. The shepherds are a breed frequently requested because the proof of their loyalty has been witnessed first hand .. Nicholas fit this profile and would benefit from a shepherd experienced owner that knows the rewards of discipline and may have gone through some tough times as well. Someone able to appreciate the special brand of loyalty Nicholas has, and be able to keep his training and focus current. In return they will receive an expert companion with an intense, happy, playful take on the world. K9 basics as part of his ongoing training package, will allow Nicholas to continue training with his new people if convenience permits. He would have the same instructors and guidence initially provided, a nice benefit that transfers.

Klaus is an amazing character that has come a long way from his nj shelter. His initial shyness has given way to a very alert expert ball player that can entertain himself. He is aloof and not for the faint of heart. But has a gentle giant side to him Would be a candidate for a house with minimal traffic.

Story
Rosie has had a previous life as a mill mom and that is at an end. She actually looks very good and has that solid classic German shepherd stature. She has withstood her lousy years very well . She can be critical of other dogs and has earned only pet status at this point. She has some playfulness in her too, it would be nice to see her relaxing in a home as an only pet.
