Story
We are so excited to introduce Luna. This absolute charmer is a 6-year-old German Shepherd mix. Luna was extremely loved by her owner, and they had a deep bond; however, her owner was involved in a devastating accident that left the owner hospitalized and unable to care for Luna. Luna was out of sorts at the shelter. She doesn’t like being crated and wants to be near people. She has been in a foster home for the last month and is thriving! Luna is incredibly friendly and easy-going and has been a wonderful house guest. She loves running in the snow and going on long walks. While she is unphased by other dogs who walk by her while on a leash, Luna must be the only pet in the home because she doesn’t want to share her human’s attention! Luna is a big girl at 106 lbs., but needs to lose weight, so she should be with an owner who can provide her with a healthy lifestyle. Luna must undergo Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) surgery, which will be provided by PK. Although she cannot be formally adopted until surgery is complete, we are open to foster-to-adopt arrangements to help get her into a loving home as soon as possible. Even though Luna has been through a heartbreaking loss, she still has so much love to give and can’t wait to find another family with whom to develop a deep bond. Whoever adopts her is going to end up with a new best friend! Apply to adopt Luna at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Burton, the spirited Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 8 months old and weighing 40 lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's currently working on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally chew on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He will always have loud breathing sounds and sometimes a runny nose. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just might be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Come meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side!  Interested in adopting? (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 23, 2024, 11:19 am

Will have her sit and stay while you fill food bowl up and she will wait till your done and say okay. Loves tennis balls but has dulled the tips of her teeth(not something were were aware could happen) Does need attention and would work best in a calm home with a schedule. Needs positive reinforcement training with her high energy that our schedule cannot accommodate any longer. She like to sit on your lap or be close to you while working. Has a hard time taking corrections. Can be mouthy but she will run with a toy in her mouth or circle around because she herself knows she has a problem with that. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jack is a newcomer to the countryside, after his start in the inner city. Jack is of an imposing size, will and presence. He has had little training in his past and will need that. He is not for the faint of heart and will need a firm, savvy, shepherd experienced person to keep him in the gentle giant realm. He likes his toys, and treats etc., and he likes his walks too. He has a prey drive that cannot be adopted to a home with cats.

Story
Alissa upon arrival has been a favorite here with volunteers. She is known for carrying her ball, and for liking her walks. She has completed a prison sponsored socializing program, and will returned and is available. She settled in well at this facility at least before being whisked away to the program, and the few weeks have helped her to be ready for adoption. Alissa has a formidable prey drive, so unfortunately no cats as housemates for her.
