Story
Bristol is a very happy, sweet, and playful pup. She appears to want to play with other dogs, but is scared of them if they are loud or assertive. Bristol is very active and eager to learn. Currently she does not have any training and she will need someone who is patient and willing to work with her. She is very food motivated and should be easily trainable.

Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.

Story
Meet Pepper! Pepper is a 10-year-old altered female who came to us with her best friend, Osa. She’s a sensitive, nervous girl who doesn’t always love big changes, so we believe she’ll do best with multiple meet-and-greets to slowly build trust with her forever family. Once Pepper feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. Her favorite word in the world is “walk”—just say it, and you’ll see her do her happy dance with lots of tail wags! She’s also a very smart lady who knows plenty of tricks, including sit, stay, lay down, and shake. On top of that, Pepper is house-trained and has wonderful manners. Pepper is looking for a patient and loving home that will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. In return, she’ll give you all the love and loyalty of a true best friend. Could she be the perfect match for you?

Story
Meet Filo, a one-year-old German Shepherd looking for his second chance!  Filo hasn’t had the easiest start in life. He came to HART from a dog hoarding situation and, as a result, struggles with some anxiety. But this handsome boy has so much potential. He just needs the right person to help him shine! Filo is a high-drive, intelligent, and trainable pup who thrives with structure and purpose. Because of his past, he can take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your loyal shadow for life. He loves having a job to do and is eager to please when given structure and consistency. When he gets frustrated or anxious, Filo can become a bit mouthy, but with proper training, exercise, and engagement, he channels that energy into learning and working. Filo would make an incredible working dog or active companion for someone who can give him the focus and purpose he craves. Filo will do best in a home that can provide structure, patience, and a clear training plan. We’re asking future adopters to include a plan for his training and daily structure when bringing him home. This will be key to helping him decompress, stay engaged, and thrive. To help Filo succeed, Scott Holliday from K9 Solutions in Grantsville has generously offered four free training classes for his adopter! This will help set him up for success and strengthen his bond with his new family. Because we believe so deeply in Filo’s potential, we’ve also waived his adoption fee. Story
Handsome Zulu is a German Shepherd mix, who may have Husky in him, though we aren't sure.  We think he is about 1 1/2 years old.  He is friendly, happy, and energetic.  He's very smart too, knowing how to sit, lie down, and shake.  He plays well with female dogs, and he's housebroken!  Zulu is a super nice boy who will make a great pet for some lucky family!
