Story
Hershey is tall dark and handsome. He’s got a lot of personality. Sometimes it takes him a minute to accept a new person but he very quickly makes new friends. He takes his treats so very gentle and has great leash manners. He could use to gain a few pounds to make him extra good looking. But his shiny soft coat and loving eyes will pull you right in.

Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.

Story
Hey everyone! My name is Remi I am a 1 year old, white german shepherd (mix?) I walk, talk, and act like a german shepherd, but we think I may have a drizzle or two of something else mixed in- we just don't know what!   My back story isn't really known- and I'd rather not remember those days! I came from animal control, and I'm thriving in my foster home. I am fully potty trained & crate trained, up to date on shots, and know some basic commands like "sit" and "stay"!   I love running around the yard and I get along perfectly with my 4 other foster dog friends. One is not a fan of me, and when he expresses that, I just walk away- I don't have a mean bone in my body! As for cats- I don't quite understand that they aren't tiny dogs! I love them, a little too much If my future home has cats, they need to be confident ones! If they run, I think it's a game. But when I catch up, I just wanna play! If they are just hanging around, I ignore them.   I would don't do great with smaller kids, so teenagers and up please! I an still learning how big I am and how kids work, so it's best if I go to a family with teens & adults. I am doing well with my manners and I correct very well. I love attention and may come up and nudge you when I want some! Cuddling? Yes, please!   I may bark when you first meet me, but give me about 45 seconds and we'll be BFFs! I will need a future home that gives me lots of love, continued enrichment, and adventure! I am a typical german shepherd- loyal, playful, and so smart!   If you're interested in adding me to your family fur-ever, please fill out an application for me at www.crossyourpaws.com   KLN 16814 501c3 nonprofit   ##2555941##

Story
LOOKING FOR AN ADOPTER OR A FOSTER Currently in Kentucky and we have a transport scheduled in Greensburg, Pa on 03/01.  Please know we prioritize adopters to help free up foster homes so we are able to save more dogs.  ADULT DOGS NEED TO DECOMPRESS: they can take at least 3 months to feel like they are home. You are on their time and have to wait for them to come to you!    Ave is a German Shepherd, weighing 54 lbs and estimated 2/3 years old. She was hanging around the local post office with a bloody eye. Our shelter partner acted fast and got her the medical care she needed right away! Now that she’s all healed up, she’s looking for a place to call her own. She gets along with other dogs and has even been around cats and did great! She’s a gentle soul that just wants to kick her paws up on the couch with her soulmate She has zero accidents in her kennel but she may still have a few accidents in a new environment due to stress, etc! We feel she will fit right in after settling down!  ##2666113##

Story
If Pittsburgh had a dating show for dogs, Jack would win it in the first episode. This 2‑year‑old Great Pyrenees mix is handsome, charming, and fully ready for commitment. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his shots, which in the dog world basically makes him the equivalent of “emotionally available with a stable job.” Jack is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, but let’s be honest — he has a soft spot for the ladies. Girly dogs, prepare yourselves. He will flirt. He will prance. He will give you that slow, dramatic head tilt that says, “Hey girl… you come here often?” Despite his romantic side, Jack is a gentleman through and through. He’s sweet, social, and just wants a family who will adore him as much as he’ll adore them. Jack is looking for his forever home in the Pittsburgh area, and he’ll need a securely fenced yard so he can safely strut his stuff, patrol for squirrels, and practice his “windswept fur” look. If you’ve been waiting for a dog who’s equal parts majestic, goofy, affectionate, and unintentionally hilarious… Jack is your guy. Open your heart, open your home, and let this fluffy bachelor sweep you off your feet.
