Hail to the Chief! "The capacity for love makes dogs such rewarding companions." And Chief will be a devoted and fun companion for his new family! Why we love him: Chief is so smart, good natured and congenial. We truly enjoy spending time with him! He is three years old and weighs 58 pounds. Chief is an enthusiastic, well mannered companion on daily walks. He also has such fun running and playing in the fenced yard. Chief enjoys sitting with you to be petted and especially appreciates the reward of a treat. He will reward you with a happy doggy smile. He is so happy-go-lucky and a joy to be around! He has had the best time in play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. He is very bright and should master any commands you wish to teach him. Chief recently represented the shelter at an offsite event and was great ambassador who did well with everyone he met. Chief will be such a fine family dog! E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Story
I am a 5 year old German Shepard. I am intelligent, active and love people. Sadly, I need to find a new home right away since my mom’s commitments don't allow me to get the care I deserve and our home environment is changing. She loves me and needs for me to go to a home that is appropriate for my needs: I am energetic and need space to run, play and explore. I love people but I want to bond to a single individual or a couple with no other dogs. Dog parks make me nervous. I am a natural herd dog and would be a good asset to anyone with cows or other livestock. City living or apartment life is not going to work for me. But a home with acreage and/or a large secure fenced yard and a loving family that wants to bring me into the fold would be wonderful as well. I am quick to understand and learn but have high energy...keeping me confined to a run or kenneled all day is out of the question. I hope I can find a good home where maybe you can still keep my mom updated! My family will miss me!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    Who is Sebastian? He is curious, very intelligent, adventurous and the best cuddle bug.  Sebastian has a silly personality who loves his squeaky toys, playing with other dogs and is wonderful with kids. One should watch around little kids because of his puppy playfulness, though. He loves to snuggle in your lap or beside you and when he does his body wiggle and looks at you with that sweet face, your heart just melts. Sebastian can be hesitant of new people but quickly warms up if he feels comfortable. House training has begun and is a work in progress. Sebastian is very intelligent, wants to please and food motivated so anything you want to teach him should be very easy.    Who wants an adventure buddy or just the greatest puppy to add value to your family? Sebastian is your boy!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 10, 2025, 10:53 am

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Charlotte and I'm good girl! I'm obedient and love to go on walks. My current foster mom found me and my sidekick Sugar (the chihuahua :). I'm about 8 or 9 years old and he is 3. Our former owner could no longer care for us.. I was very, very sad, but have received lots of love from my foster family. Sugar is very attached to me and we would love to stay together in our forever home. Can you please take us both together!? We are each other's only constant at this juncture in our lives :( We seem to both do well with kids. I'm more patient with other pets, but Sugar is hit or miss. We LOVE going for walks!!! Our foster mom sometimes takes us 3x a day, but we at least need our morning walk and walk before bedtime. We are not scared of thunderstorms either and we are really well behaved. Because I'm older, I don't really get the zoomies too much, but if you say "let's dance" I'll jump for treats. Other favs: snacks, pup cups, car rides, belly rubs. Sugar likes to burrow under the covers and admittedly sometimes has accidents inside - he just needs encouragement to go outside if he hasn't been on a walk. We are an "opposites attract" kind of couple looking for that family who LOVES OPPOSITES :) We will fill your couch and your heart with love and dedication, to you and to each other!!! Attributes Crate Trained House trained Aside from our walks we do not need an active lifestyle, we're very chill. Local adoption fee (together) is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee (together) is $700 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet your Brother! Brother and his brother Red were two adorable pups found living underneath a house in bad condition. After being rescued they found that things weren't all so bad! They became happy, playful and great puppies. They currently are learning tricks, how to have good table manners, and get along well with other dogs. Both Brother and Red have tons of energy and love playing with toys! They'll need a lot of chew toys to get them through their teething stage! Brother loves getting treats and is eager to learn new things. He tends to be a bit more dominant around other animals, he wants to be the top dog! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
