Story
OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Very sweet! Loves back scratches! Treat motivated and is gentle when taking them from your hand. Needs some work not pulling on the leash when going for walks, but appears house trained and knows the sit and shake commands. She appears to have had chronic ear infections in the past; she is currently being treated with a steroid to help take inflamed tissue at this time. A medical waiver will need to be signed upon adoption. Mellow and enjoys playing with soft, squeaky toys. Does very well at the vet’s office. Although she may chase a cat if she had the chance, she is friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter. Weighs 61 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
REPORTED BY FORMER OWNER: House trained. Knows sit, down and stay commands. Is a bit jumpy and when he jumps, he has a tendency to nip your face due to being overly excited. He will need a patient person that can help him work on this. Has been an inside/outside dog. Walks well on the leash. He has never lived with children; we highly recommend older, dog-savvy children. Has a high energy level. Enjoys playing with toys. Does NOT do well with cats. Good with other dogs his size and has previously lived with two. Has been known to dart out the door when you open it if you are not watching him. He’s a very sweet dog, just needs a little work. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Playful, sweet and loves attention. Treat motivated and is gentle when taking food from your hand. Not a huge fan of being restrained or his neck area being touched for a long period of time. Will take “No” correcting when jumping up. If you give him something else to do, it helps a lot. Even if it is making him sit for a few seconds. Weighs 77 pounds; $25 to adopt.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Big love bug! He’ll roll over and let you pet him all over. Walks well on the leash with only occasional pulling and knows the sit and down commands. Although he is treat-motivated, he is a little snappy when taking them from your hand and is not a fan of being hugged; may be a little too overwhelming for smaller children. Playful! Enjoys playing tug-of-war with soft, squeaky toys. Although he may chase a cat if he had the chance, he’s friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter.Weighs 65 pounds; $25 to adopt.

OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: A little shy at first, but warms up in no time at all. Walks well on the leash and knows the sit command. Appears to be house trained. Loves attention; will ask for more if he’s not done with you doting upon him. Very playful and bouncy; enjoys playing with soft toys. Can jump high; a home with a tall fence would be beneficial for him. Weighs 40 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Story
Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Canada (Canadian adopters will meet us in Bellingham, WA). We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.   Our adoption fee includes transport and a Health Certificate from a local vet to certify your new pet is clear to travel accross state lines. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to www.springbranchrescue.org ##1451332##

Misa misa is such a good dog. She is around 4 years old. We rescued Misa from the shelter. She loves to play with toys and the tug rope. She listens and has learned a few commands. I'm hoping to find a person or family who will give Misa girl lots of love and attention. I would describe Misa misa as a loveable dog. Likes to give lots of kisses.

Story
Striker is a great dog. He’s loving, smart and very gentle. He needs a home with older kids or a family that can give him a lot of attention. We have two very little children and unfortunately are not giving him the attention he needs. When he’s bored he eats objects that could potentially obstruct his bowels. He loves to go for walks and is ecollar trained. He has some dog reactivity but his entire life he’s been all bark and no bite. Once he actually is allowed to get to know a dog then he’s completely comfortable! He loves to play chase and keep away (rarely will he actually bring a stick back to you). I love this dog very much but he deserves a home that he will be their world and they can pamper him.

Story
Zhenya is a super sweet pup who loves to play and loves getting attention. Zhenya came to us as a mama dog with a litter of puppies. Her pups have all grown up and found homes, but Zhenya is still waiting for a home of her very own! She is a super sweet lady who is potty trained, knows her way around a doggy door, walks well on a leash, great manners when it comes to meeting new people and is incredibly smart! She would love to spend her time cuddled up next to her people!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Braven, and let's just get this out of the way early: I may be big and have a bark that'll scare off a lion, but inside I'm really just a 2-year-old, 80-lb baby. I'm a very well mannered and respectful boy. A gentle giant, if you will. I walk amazingly well on a leash, though sometimes I do like to hold the leash myself. Maybe it’s comforting? Maybe I feel like I have a little bit of control in this chaotic world? Who knows! I do enjoy going on adventures and car rides, and with my striking looks, I turn heads every time I'm out and about. I’m great with kids, cats and dogs as well! I do like to take things slow because I am a bit of a scaredy cat at first, but my foster mom is working very hard on building my confidence. Inside the house, I take my job as a security guard very seriously. Meaning, I'll even follow you into the bathroom to make sure no intruders come in! I'm looking for a patient, active and loving family that will allow me to become their new best friend — is that you? If you'd like to meet Braven, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJune 10, 2023, 7:07 am

Story
Ham is my family's 11 year old dog who has lived with me for about 6 months since moving to SLC. She is a good dog but is in desperate need of a calm and stable home which I cannot currently provide for her. She suffers from anxiety and has a history of aggression towards other dogs, mainly ones smaller than herself. She is almost always well behaved around people.
