Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ERNIE – The rubber duckie heart Ernie is the sweet soul. The snuggler. The curious explorer. He loves other dogs but doesn’t need one — he’d be perfectly happy being your one and only and soaking up the spotlight. Good with other dogs Would be fine as a solo dog Crate trained Knows sit & down Moderate recall (unless he’s busy pondering life) Learning wait, stay, off & loose leash No chickens Cats are also a work in progress He’s active in a “let’s sniff and see where the day takes us” kind of way. A true lover boy. DNA shows Ernie is mostly GSD, Husky and Pyr. A mix that makes him smart, handsome and fun! Ernie is being fostered in Utah. Story
Meet Anuba! This beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd is as loyal as they come. Sweet, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people, Anuba forms strong bonds and loves being close to those she trusts. Like many shepherds, she can be a little cautious with new people at first, but she typically warms up quickly and will usually allow gentle approaches and pets right away.Anuba previously lived with another dog and is currently participating in daily dog playgroups at daycare. She enjoys being around other dogs, though introductions should always be slow and supervised to help set her up for success. She has no known experience with cats and has not had direct interactions with children. She is house trained and eager to be part of a home again. Anuba does pull strongly on leash and may bark when left alone, so she will benefit from continued training and structure. Right now, she is adjusting to a lot of change and is understandably a bit heartbroken about starting over. Because of this, Anuba is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to settle in and rebuild her confidence. Once she feels safe, Anuba’s loving and loyal personality truly shines. She is the kind of dog who will stand faithfully by your side through everything.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Looking for your one and only? So is Gracie. Gracie is a gorgeous 7-year-old German Shepherd with 80 pounds of loyalty, love, and playful energy. She's smart, stunning, and absolutely devoted to her people—Gracie lights up around humans and bonds deeply with everyone she meets. Her ideal home? One where she can soak up all the attention, and get all the love, and snuggles you have to give. This girl is happiest outside—she’s a fetch fanatic who gently drops the ball at your feet and waits with hopeful eyes for the next throw. While she’s not big on treats, she’ll do just about anything for her favorite toys, and she thrives in a fenced yard where she can run, play, and show off her goofy, joyful side.Gracie is house-trained, crate-trained, and a quiet, polite housemate. Every now and then she might get curious about what’s on the counter (who wouldn’t?), but she responds well to gentle guidance and learns quickly. She’s eager to please, and her intelligent, loyal nature makes her a dream for someone who enjoys both play and companionship.Because she wants all your love to herself, Gracie must be the only pet in the home—but trust us, she’s more than enough. Her big heart has room for you, your family, and all the cuddles you can give.If you’re looking for a devoted, loving best friend who will be by your side through every adventure, Gracie is ready to be the center of your universe. Story
Ralphie is a 3 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix, about 100 pounds, and the most loyal dog. He is highly trained, incredibly smart, and forms such a deep bond with his person. He has completed professional training with K9 Lifeline, including 10 weeks with a personal trainer, and has a strong obedience foundation. He is crate trained and finds comfort in it. He’s also very well mannered in the home. He is quiet for a husky, will alert when someone is at the door, then goes to his crate and waits until released. He knows sit, down, stay, drop it, leave it, and has a strong recall. He waits at doors until given permission and responds really well to structure and consistency. He enjoys walks but is just as fulfilled by slow sniff walks as long runs and thrives on mental stimulation. Ralphie does have reactivity to strangers, both adults and children, and can be selective with other dogs, especially on first meeting. Because of this, he needs a very experienced owner who understands w
