The Captain is ready to "lift your spirits" with his adorable antics!  He is a big, lovable goofball who doesn’t quite realize how large he is—but that just adds to his charm! With his playful personality, kind heart, and unshakable loyalty, he’s the perfect adventure buddy and cuddle companion all in one.Why You’ll Love Him:Obedient and eager to pleasePlayful yet incredibly lovingA little uncoordinated at times, making him extra endearingHousebroken and well-mannered indoorsRides well in the car and walks nicely on a leashThe Perfect Home for The Captain:He gets along well with other dogs, but would thrive with a fellow big dog who can match his energy.  Slow intros are best with those well balance playmates. He’d do best with an active, loving adopter who wants a true best friend for life—someone who will enjoy playtime, outdoor adventures, and plenty of goofy moments together. This gentle giant is very curious of feline friends so he would do best in a home without kitties!Health & Care:Neutered and up to date on all vaccinationsHouse-ready and fine in a walk-in kennel when neededIf you’re looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving dog who will bring endless joy and laughter into your life, The Captain is your guy. He’s ready to be your loyal companion—could that be you?He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you!Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview. We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest & the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716 ##2218341##

Story
Gemini can be an axious girl in the shelter, but when she is out and about her true personality shines! She recently went on a dog day out and had the best time! She went to the park, played fetch, went on a long walk, and then napped the rest of the day!Gemini knows her basic commands and may be house trained. She loves tennis balls and knows the drop command while playing fetch. We would reccomend a meet and greet with other dogs in the home. She was reported to have lived with a cat previously.

Story
Hello, my name is Phera. I’m a really sweet love bug. I am potty trained and extremely intelligent. I don’t mind cats or other dogs. I’m very apprehensive to new surroundings and it takes me a while to warm up but I enjoy opening up over a couple of days. I really enjoy sleeping in your lap and cuddles. I’m extremely protective and I’m always aware of my surroundings. I’m pretty quiet and I don’t bark much. Cats don’t interest me as I ignore them generally. I’m not a fan of loud noises as I sometimes get startled. I’m pretty quiet at night and I sleep well through the night. When I go on walks, I’m watching everyone around me constantly. Sometimes I’m startled if you sneak up on me and I don’t know you’re there. I really enjoy being by you and I don’t have separation anxiety.

Story
Ozzie is a sweet, friendly German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. He’s the kind of boy who greets everyone like a long-lost friend, always ready for pets, cuddles, and quality time with his people. One thing you should know about Ozzie—hot dogs are his ultimate weakness. Bring one out and you’ll see his eyes light up with pure joy. He’s eager to please and happy to show off his good manners when there’s a tasty reward involved. With his loving personality and gentle spirit, Ozzie would make a wonderful addition to just about any home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily be your best friend (especially if you have hot dogs), Ozzie is your guy.
