Stormy

German Shepherd Dog Golden Retriever

Female, Adult
Watertown, WI
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Stormy came to my home around 9 months of age. Previous owner was elderly and having health issues. She is almost 2 1/2 now. She is a sweet, loving, snuggly girl. Great with kids. Loves chewing bones. Energetic. She is a runner so would recommend a fenced in yard or tie-out run. She likes to chase any critter. Loves walks, but is a puller. She does better with a harness. I’m needing to rehome her because she has become very possesive over me and has been aggressive and bit our older dog. She has never had any issues with other dogs. She goes to dog parks and doggy daycare with no problems. At home I think she just wants to be the center of doggy attention. She is a lover girl and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her.

Story
9 months old (estimated) Neutered male Has done well meeting another dog at the shelter Has done well with a cat at the shelter Roscoe is an active, smart boy who would love a job to keep his brain busy! He already knows sit, shake, and down, and he’s eager to show off his skills, especially when treats are involved. Roscoe is both loving and intelligent, always happy to be by your side and ready to learn what’s next. Roscoe is looking for a home that will enjoy his enthusiasm, continue his training, and appreciate his big heart and bright mind The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.January 27, 2026, 3:11 pm

·Intake Reason: Transfer from Texas-Weight: Known with:·Dogs: Unknown·Kids: Unknown·Cats: UnknownPuppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you must teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a doorbell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training, so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething, I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment, and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!
