Story
Petey walked onto a property in the country one day and let everybody know that he was not just visiting, but really intended to stay. This would have been perfectly fine with the human residents, but they want Petey to have the best possible life and felt this high energy young man needed to have someone younger than they are. GSP's are wonderful dogs who are very lovable and loving and are very trainable. They do have a high energy level and usually a strong prey drive. Training is definitely a must. They will reward you with unconditional love and loyalty.

Meet Kip – A Sweet, Snuggly Pup with a Big Heart (and a Brave Spirit!) Kip is as cute as they come and has the sweetest soul to match. This handsome young pup absolutely adores being around his people—cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time are high on his list of favorite things. He's also a big fan of snacks (who isn't?), which makes him extra motivated to learn and bond. Kip is 1.5 years old and weighs 86 pounds. He is potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He'd love a home with another dog to keep him company, a yard to romp around in, and plenty of toys and chew bones to keep him happy. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a truly special pup, Kip will reward you with a lifetime of love, loyalty, and snuggles. Story
Meet Darla — your future best friend, cuddle buddy, and little shadow! 🐾❤ï¸Â Darla is about 1 year old and 27 pounds, and after having the chance to really get to know her in foster care, I can tell you that this girl has a HUGE personality packed into her little body. Darla absolutely LOVES people. She wants to say hello to everyone she meets — and preferably to everyone at the same time! 😂 She is incredibly affectionate, loves attention, and is happiest when she can be right next to her people. Whether she’s following you around the house, asking for pets, or curling up beside you, Darla just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. She’s also a silly, energetic young dog who loves to explore and be part of the action. Darla can sometimes have a hard time focusing when there’s a lot going on around her. She is curious, easily distracted, and has a tendency to bounce from one thing to another — basically, she has a little bit of “dog ADHD.” 😂 It’s one of the things that makes her so funny and full of personality. She does best with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Darla is crate trained and leash trained, and she is perfectly comfortable sleeping in her crate at night. She is still working on potty training. When she gets outside often enough, she does well and will potty outside. She has also gotten really good about not pooping inside, but she still has enough pee accidents indoors that we wouldn’t consider her fully potty trained yet. Her new family will need to continue working with her and keep a consistent routine. Darla has some other little quirks that make her uniquely Darla. Her eyes don't always focus normally, but there is nothing wrong with her eyes, and it does not prevent her from seeing, playing, exploring, or enjoying life. It’s simply something you may notice about her. She also has a hilarious habit of coming over for wet kisses immediately after drinking water. Expect a wet nose, wet whiskers, and a soggy little face coming straight for you! 😂 Darla does well with other dogs and kids and loves having canine friends. She would likely enjoy a playful dog in her forever home, especially one who can help her burn off some of that young-dog energy. We are still working on cats. Darla is not aggressive toward them, but she does like to chase them. Because of that, she will need continued training, supervision, and appropriate introductions around cats. A home without cats may be the easiest fit for her, but her foster family is continuing to work with her. Darla came from the Mesquite Animal Shelter and has really blossomed in foster care. The more time I spend with her, the more her goofy, affectionate personality comes out. She is energetic without being all go-go-go, incredibly loving, and just wants to be someone's girl. She isn't perfect — but honestly, that's part of what makes her so lovable. ❤ï¸Â She is still learning, still growing, and still figuring out how to be the best dog she can be. What she already knows how to do exceptionally well is LOVE her people. Darla is looking for a forever family who will be patient with her, continue helping her learn, give her plenty of love and attention, and appreciate all of the goofy little things that make her Darla. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. Story
Goose is a sweet, loving, super playful, and very energetic dog. He loves getting attention, playing, doing tricks, and being included in whatever the family is doing. He has a big personality and can be goofy and affectionate. He knows how to sit, place, turn around, down, shake, and up. He is very strong and has a lot of energy, so he needs an active family who can give him plenty of exercise, structure, training, and attention. He can be stubborn at times and is still working on his manners and boundaries. He would benefit from an owner who understands dog behavior and is willing to continue positive, consistent training. We want to find Goose a home where he can thrive and receive the time, structure, and attention he needs. Well will send his bed, toys, treats, and food with him.

Story
Meet Barbas, a playful puppy with a heart of gold! If you would like to adopt a dog that is still young but has already received a bit of training then Barbas is for you. Barbas knows the following commands: Sit Shake Lay down Wait (when being fed) Go, eat (to begin eating) He can catch popcorn and treats in the air. He lays down and waits when we open to the back gate to drive our cars in and out. He LOVES taking a hose bath and playing in the water. He will sit while you towel dry him and lay down to be brushed. When presented with a dental chew in the evening, he will walk straight into his crate to go to sleep. He's under a year old according to the vet and so he's still explores a lot with his mouth. He loves giving kisses, hugging, and snuggling on the couch. He's strong, active, and loves getting out his zoomies in our big backyard. While he most enjoys going on short walks, he has been on several 2 mile walks, but he usually takes a break around the mile mark and wants to lie down. Barbas would do best with a family that can support his active lifestyle. Barbas is participating in the iRehome program. All iRehome dogs are being rehomed by their current owner. All iRehome behavioral and medical information is provided by the dog's current owner. TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with the current owner prior to completing the adoption process.
