Story
Princess Peach is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever who has mastered the art of enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Give her a soft place to settle, a few good pets, a squeaky ball, and a duck-shaped toy, and this girl is happy. Princess arrived at Unconditional after being surrendered to a high-kill shelter weighing 125 pounds—nearly 40 pounds above her healthy weight of approximately 85 pounds. Now, she is beginning an important new chapter as she works toward becoming healthier and more comfortable. Her journey will take time, but Princess is surrounded by the care and support she needs to take things one day at a time. At heart, Princess is a mellow senior with a playful streak. She may not move at the same pace she once did, but she certainly hasn’t lost her appreciation for fun. Squeaky balls are a particular favorite, and a duck toy can bring out an especially happy girl. One of Princess’s most endearing quirks is her paw. She loves having it held and will often offer it up as if to say, “Hold my hand.” It’s a small gesture that says so much about her gentle nature. Princess doesn’t need a life filled with excitement. She is happiest taking things at her own pace, enjoying companionship, getting some affection, and settling in for a peaceful day. There is a wonderful sense of calm about her—the kind of dog who would happily spend an afternoon simply sharing the room with you. After a difficult start to her senior years, Princess is finally getting the chance to focus on feeling better and enjoying the life ahead of her. She is looking for someone who will be patient with her weight-loss journey, embrace her slower pace, and give her the time and consistency she needs to thrive. Most of all, Princess deserves to spend her golden years feeling safe, loved, and wonderfully spoiled. And with her favorite squeaky ball by her side and a paw ready to hold, she’s ready for the next chapter of her story.

Story
Meet Chance, a handsome 7-year-old Golden Retriever (turning 8 in December) weighing approximately 90 lbs. He’s an energetic, playful, and affectionate companion who loves being active and has spent plenty of time at doggy daycare playing with groups of dogs. While he’s friendly and social off leash, he experiences anxiety when meeting new people or unfamiliar dogs and can display leash reactivity. With slow introductions and patience, he settles in and builds strong bonds. He also has recurring skin sensitivities that cause itchiness and can lead to skin and ear infections, requiring ongoing care and regular veterinary attention. He’s looking for a patient, experienced home that understands his anxiety and medical needs and will be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion full of personality and affection.

Story
We got Cooper as a puppy about 8 months ago. We have 5 acres, and the plan was to have him as a guard dog for the property. As time went on we realized that he is a very social dog and needs a lot of attention constantly. We are a family that is constantly on the go and realized he would have a better home with someone that can give him the constant attention he is craving.

Story
Meet Clara! 🌟 Clara is a beautiful 15-month-old young dog who came to our rescue as part of a very special litter of 11 puppies, along with their mom. Mom’s DNA confirmed she is a Malinois/German Shepherd mix, and because the puppies all looked so different, DNA testing was done on several of them. Two siblings tested as a balanced mix of Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Husky, and Belgian Malinois, while another tested as 50% Australian Shepherd mixed with mom’s Malinois/German Shepherd blend—proof that this litter had more than one dad! Clara looked like she could fall into either group, so we did her DNA as well. Even though she’s on the smaller side, her results placed her in the Golden Retriever group: she is 26% Golden Retriever, 26% Belgian Malinois, 22% Siberian Husky, and 16% German Shepherd. While Clara may be one of the smaller pups in the litter, her size does not affect her confidence one bit. She holds her own with all of her brothers and sisters and is always right in the middle of the fun. She’s playful, curious, affectionate, and full of personality. Clara is an active dog who will need daily exercise and regular activity to stay happy and well-balanced. Like her siblings, she’s always ready for the next adventure. But she also has a wonderfully sweet side—she can happily sit for long stretches while you rub her belly, soaking up every bit of affection. She does well with other dogs and enjoys being part of a pack. Clara has not yet been tested with cats. Clara is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is nearly fully potty trained and would thrive in a home where her training can continue with consistency, patience, and love. If you’re looking for a confident, playful girl with a sweet cuddly side, Clara may be the perfect addition to your family 🐾💕

Story
**Meet Bell! 🖤💦** Bell is a beautiful **15-month-old** young dog who came to our rescue as part of an unforgettable litter of **11 puppies**, along with their mom. Her mom’s DNA testing confirmed she is a **Malinois/German Shepherd mix**, and because the puppies all looked so different, DNA testing was done on several of them—Bell included. Bell’s results showed she is **29% Golden Retriever, 21% Siberian Husky, 19% German Shepherd, and 18% Belgian Malinois**. Bell is a **stunning girl** with the shiniest black coat and a tall, lanky build that turns heads. She confidently keeps up with her brothers and sisters and is always right in the middle of the action. She’s an **active dog** who will need daily exercise and regular activity to stay happy and fulfilled. Like her siblings, Bell is always ready to go—**playful, curious, cuddly, and endlessly sweet**. She doesn't just run, she bounces in her jubilance when playing. Bell is an absolute **water dog** and spends much of her outdoor time splashing and lounging in her kiddie pool. While there is a people pool available, she currently prefers her own wading pool and takes her pool time very seriously! Bell adores affection and wants nothing more than to be right by your side. She loves pets, attention, and close companionship, and she would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of love and interaction. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs. Bell is curious about the goats at the rescue but has shown **no aggression** toward them. She has not yet been tested with cats. Bell is **very close to being fully potty trained** and just needs a bit more consistency to finish polishing those skills. She is **vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed**, and fully ready to head to her forever home. If you’re looking for an active, affectionate dog with a playful personality and a love for water, **Bell may be the perfect addition to your family** 🐾💙
