Story
We have had Chestnut (10) in our family for about eight years. I found him at a park one day and he ended up following me all the way home. We searched for his owners for weeks and made sure he received all of his shots but no one ever claimed him so he became a permanent part of our family. Chestnut is a Golden Shepherd and Cocker Spaniel mix and has the sweetest most gentle temperament. He is very calm and affectionate and truly just wants belly rubs cuddles and treats. Chestnut enjoys both indoor and outdoor time and adapts easily to different environments. He is very friendly with other dogs and currently lives with another dog Benji (5) who is a Doberman and Beagle mix. They are extremely close and balance each other well with Chestnut being more laid back and Benji having higher energy. If possible we would love for them to stay together as they have formed a strong bond. Chestnut is food motivated and does well on a dry food diet with occasional wet food and plenty of treats.

1/21/25- Stella came in with a sister from a home that had several dogs. They were left in the back yard and never had much done with them. She is sweet o ce you give her time to warm up. She isnt going to give you kisses instantly. If you are ok with giving a dog love and time. In a day she will be a completely different dog. She has learned how to walk well on a leash. She spent 5 hours at a park with children and adults running all around. She gives a little puppy wimper when she wants extra love. She is extremely gentle and loving. She feels safe with children and she is ready to continue exploring the world. If you want to adopt please email directly at animalprayers@gmail.com and request an application.

Marshall is a very loving, affectionate Golden Retriever who is deeply bonded to his people and enjoys being close to them. He is sweet, friendly, and thrives on attention and companionship. At 2 years old, he is energetic and strong and needs daily exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. He is crate trained and does best with clear routines. When under stimulated, he can be destructive if left loose, so continued training and enrichment will help him succeed. He would be happiest in an active home, ideally with a yard, and with adopters who have experience with large or high energy breeds or are committed to ongoing training. Apartment living and limited exercise have been challenging for him, and he would thrive in a setting that can better meet his needs. This decision was made with care due to major life changes. We are focused on finding him a loving, permanent home where he can truly thrive.
