Story
If we were to describe Sundrop in one word, it would be lovely. She is as playful as Golden Retrievers can be. She is family and kid-friendly, truly such a good dog. But despite all these traits, no one wanted to adopt Sundrop at the high-kill shelter, so she was placed on the euthanasia list. When we saw her, we fell in love and knew that someone out there would also fall in love with her. If you're ready to be swooned and play games of fetch with Sundrop, apply to be her forever family below! Ideally, a quiet home would be best for her and she’s low to medium energy. Very affectionate once she warms up to you! Fearful of strangers but is getting much better.

Story
Goose is a beautiful 2 year old Australian Shepard/Golden retriever mix that we adopted from a local shelter. But as gorgeous as he is, he comes with SIGNIFICANT issues. He has SEVERE separation anxiety, hyper attachment, and dominance/behavoir issues, to include counter surfing, destructive behavoir when left alone, and diffuclty with training. He was an intact male up until 6 months ago, and often displays intact behavoir even after his neuter. He plays VERY rough, often seeking to dominant other dogs. He was most likely raised with indoor potty pads, and does NOT show signs of needing to go outside to potty. He lacks manners, often barging into personal space and demanding attention, and does not always repsond to reward based training. He has destroyed multiple kennels when left alone, and is destructive without human companionship. When left in the kennel he barks nearly non-stop. He would be best on a ranch, or somewhere with other dogs and a lot of property.

Story
Benni is a 1½-year-old Goldendoodle weighing 24 lbs who is ready to find a loving forever home. He is friendly by nature but can be a bit shy at first as he gets to know new people and surroundings. With a little time and reassurance, his sweet personality shines through. Benni walks well on leash and gets along nicely with other dogs. He would do best in a home with another dog to keep him company and help boost his confidence, but most of all, Benni is simply looking for a home that will give him the love, patience, and affection he deserves. If you’re searching for a gentle, loyal companion to grow with your family, Benni could be the perfect addition. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
