We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. She's a joy to be around, getting along beautifully with cats and other dogs. Her easygoing nature makes her a dream companion and her compact size makes her the ideal adventure buddy, whether she's expertly balancing on your paddleboard or simply enjoying a scenic hike by your side.Story | Rhea was pulled from Houston and is excited to be on her way to Colorado to be a mountain pup! Other Dogs | Rhea is great with other dogs! She enjoys running around and playing chase in the backyard with the other dog in her foster home.Cats | Rhea is great with cats! She lived wirh a kitty in her Texas foster home and was unbothered. Children | Rhea is a gentle sweetheart who is great with children as long as they're gentle and kind. She would love some kiddos of her own to dote on!Training | Rhea is potty trained and knows basic commands. Leash | Rhea is great on the leash! She will stay right by your side while the leash hangs loose. Activity Level | Moderate. Rhea is a young golden girl who likes to romp around in the yard and then join you on the couch for cuddles! She'll need regular exercise like most young retrievers!Health Notes | healthy and happy :)Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.
