Story
Charlie is a 3–4-year-old Golden Retriever / Dachshund mix weighing about 37 pounds, with a deep red silky coat and unforgettable soul-dog eyes. After surviving years in a hoarding house, Charlie is learning what safety, love, and kindness feel like — and he’s blossoming beautifully. He’s quiet and cautious at first and won’t offer instant trust, but give him a few days and he will give you all of himself. Once bonded, Charlie is deeply affectionate, snuggly, goofy, and devoted, with happy feet, zoomies, and a heart that loves hard. He thrives in a calm, patient home with humans who understand that trust is built, not demanded. Charlie bonds deeply, enjoys routine, does wonderfully with a doggy door, and is highly treat-motivated and eager to keep learning. If you’re looking for a gentle, soulful companion who will change your life — Charlie is your guy. ***Visit our website at www.pawsitiverestorations.com to read LOTS more about Tina, watch her videos, and submit an adoption application.

Story
Buster is a gorgeous Golden Retriever mix who is a young adult (about 2 years old). He lives with dogs of all sizes and gets along with everyone but he is dominant over food so I feed him separately. He also lives with cats and kittens and has never tried to chase them and doesn't really pay attention to them. He is low-to-medium energy in general but has the stamina to go on long hikes, etc. He is not a barker and not a jumper and not a bolter. He likes to be petted. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Goose is a beautiful 2 year old Australian Shepard/Golden retriever mix that we adopted from a local shelter. But as gorgeous as he is, he comes with SIGNIFICANT issues. He has SEVERE separation anxiety, hyper attachment, and dominance/behavoir issues, to include counter surfing, destructive behavoir when left alone, and diffuclty with training. He was an intact male up until 6 months ago, and often displays intact behavoir even after his neuter. He plays VERY rough, often seeking to dominant other dogs. He was most likely raised with indoor potty pads, and does NOT show signs of needing to go outside to potty. He lacks manners, often barging into personal space and demanding attention, and does not always repsond to reward based training. He has destroyed multiple kennels when left alone, and is destructive without human companionship. When left in the kennel he barks nearly non-stop. He would be best on a ranch, or somewhere with other dogs and a lot of property.

Story
If we were to describe Sundrop in one word, it would be lovely. She is as playful as Golden Retrievers can be. She is family and kid-friendly, truly such a good dog. But despite all these traits, no one wanted to adopt Sundrop at the high-kill shelter, so she was placed on the euthanasia list. When we saw her, we fell in love and knew that someone out there would also fall in love with her. If you're ready to be swooned and play games of fetch with Sundrop, apply to be her forever family below! Ideally, a quiet home would be best for her and she’s low to medium energy. Very affectionate once she warms up to you! Fearful of strangers but is getting much better.
