Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: owner surrender within the state of Colorado, suspected to be a golden retriever but we have no documentation of breeder info or papers. The family who surrendered, "got him from a friend." From the foster: Beau is about 7-8 months old, just got neutered, and has little evidence of training. While his breed guess will likely make him a popular choice, Beau is about 60-65lbs with no sense of his size or strength, jumps up to greet, isn't fully potty-trained, and doesn't know what is expected of him behavior-wise indoors. In order to set-up Beau for success, we're looking for a family without kids under 10 years old and who have experience in boundary-setting and training so that Beau can learn to be balanced and happy while fully understanding rules and expectations for indoor time vs playtime. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

HIGHLIGHTS: -Requires another confident dog established in home- Meet Blanche – A Playful Sweetheart Blanche is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever weighing 59.2 pounds with a heart just as big as her smile. Blanche is naturally sweet and friendly, though she can be a little nervous when first meeting new people. Once she has a chance to warm up, her true personality comes out and she becomes a loving, happy companion who enjoys being around her people. She loves toys and is a playful girl who enjoys having fun and staying active. Whether it’s tossing a toy, exploring the yard, or spending time with her favorite humans, Blanche is always ready for some gentle fun and companionship. With a little patience at first and lots of love, Blanche will quickly become a loyal and joyful addition to the right home. ---------- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Hi I’m rosy I am 2 years old my birthday is September 10th 2024. I am being re-homed due to my behavior that needs supervision to correct but my owners are unable to do so as they both work and my kid goes to school, I like to do it when they are gone or don’t see me but I am a great friend and I listen good, I know my basic commands, I am house broken and do well in a gated area just don’t let me free roam without being watch because I can’t promise that I won’t get into things. If you have more questions feel free to ask, also I am not a barker like my brother I am quiet and very sweet.

Story
I rescued Leo from a Denver shelter when he was 8 weeks old, and he’s been the best companion. He’s 13 now and needs someone with a more flexible schedule, as he requires more frequent bathroom breaks than my 8+ hour shifts allow. Leo is about 80 lbs — stocky, sweet, and goofy. He knows sit, stay, shake, lay down, and come. He loves toys, plays independently, and has a funny quirk of wanting his meals “remixed” before he’ll eat. He’s lived around many dogs but isn’t comfortable with big dogs; small dogs he mostly ignores. He has a brother he’s been with since 8 weeks old, but they’ve been separated for boarding during travel with no issues. He’d do best as the only dog in a calm home. This is a hard decision, and I just want him to have the care and attention he deserves in his senior years.

We are dedicated to making a difference by providing essential resources and compassionate care to enhance the quality of life for animals. As their voice, we advocate for their well-being by raising awareness about the shelter crisis, promoting responsible pet guardianship, and ensuring the compassionate treatment of all animals. *Our Vision* We envision a world where every animal is understood with empathy, treated with kindness and respect, and where the unique bond between humans and animals is cherished — enriching all lives. *Spay & Neuter is required by law in Colorado, helping to break the cycle of unwanted litters.* Please consider supporting our mission.
