Story
Hi, my name is Lucy and I am the biggest love bug! I am having so much fun in my foster home and love playing with all of my toys. I can be a bit shy at first but I am such a sweetheart and LOVE to cuddle. I'm getting better at potty training and getting used to my crate as well, though I love to be close to a human. I have learned how to sit and even give a high five! I think I'd be the perfect addition to your home this holiday season :)

Story
Kandi Bear is great dog. She’s my best friend, I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. I am re-homing her as a last resort because I am facing homelessness and don’t want her to suffer with me. She is 8 years old. Extremely loving and friendly. She would be a good addition to any home.

Story
There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then these tiny babies lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter facing euthanasia due to a lack of space. Tessa, at just 3 months old and 15 lbs (estimated to be full grown at approximately 45 - 55 lbs), was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's Texas rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this gorgeous puppy with the great temperament. They rescued Tessa just in time to spare her life. Tessa is starting out with great energy. The excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a brand new life. This puppy is also very beautiful (although impossible to tell in this poor photo. We've requested new photos and will post the moment we receive them) with a gorgeous fluffy golden coat and a sweet as can be temperament. Tessa's puppy coat is currently shelter-sad. To bring it back to the beauty of her breed mix, she will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and great nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are excellent lifelong protocols for longevity and hair care) to keep Tessa's coat healthy, shining and as soft as cotton. Tessa is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. Once comfortable in her environment, she's also very loving and sweet. Tessa would be very excited to be a lap puppy and cuddle with her favorite people at the end of an active day of playing, hikes and backyard fun. Since Tessa is just a baby, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion and will form firm bonds with her family (as well as other dogs and humans) and learn positive socialization skills through Puppy Kindergarten followed by positive reinforcement level 1 group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's feels so strongly about young dogs getting the gift of positive reinforcement training that we're unwilling to adopt Tessa to a family that doesn't offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement/force-free trainers in your area. We're open to Tessa finding her forever home with a retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly, fun-loving and super-smart puppy. Tessa loves the fun and companionship of children as well. We would prefer to place her in a home with older kids because tail pulling or rough treatment will create a puppy that's fearful of children. Older kids can also be active participants in a training regimen (as well as the fun of agility and frisbee) that's so important in a puppy's development as a well-behaved and bonded adult dog. Tessa will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy puppies. Extensive research shows that puppies should be fixed at approximately 12 months old. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Tessa's spay and microchip at that age if one of our rescue vets is used. Tessa will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 12/9/2023. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loving best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Tessa please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Adoptapet and Petfinder don't provide enough information for our purposes. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Aspen is 3 years old. She's grown up with kids and cats and around other dogs. She still has quite a bit of puppy energy, and is also very sweet and snuggly. Due to changes in several circumstances for our family- a move, longer hours at work, health issues, we just can't give her the time and care that she needs and deserves. We're looking for a really good home for our girl.
