Story
Sven wakes up happy every single day. He’s the kind of dog that always seems to be smiling, always ready for whatever comes next, and always excited to be part of things without becoming overwhelming or chaotic. Sven is a one-year-old mix breed who has the coat and face of a golden retriever and the compact build of a heeler. He has a great middle-ground personality that makes him easy to live with. When it’s time to play, go for a walk, or hang out with other dogs, he’s fully in. But once the excitement is over, he settles down nicely instead of endlessly bouncing off the walls. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has a naturally social, easygoing personality that helps him fit into just about any environment. Sven has the fun energy people want in a young dog without the constant intensity that can make some high-energy breeds exhausting. Good fit: someone wanting a happy, social dog that enjoys activity but also knows how to relax and settle into daily life. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Meet Big Red! 🐾 Big Red is all big heart, big energy, and big goofy charm. He's a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow Mix right under 5 years old and has the biggest smile. Big Red can be a bit mouthy and jumps up on people, so a home without young kids is best. He's dog friendly and with training, routine, and patience, he is eady to find a forever home where he can be loved, spoiled, and part of the family.

Story
Hello! This is Peach! We were recently given this dog from a couple who said they were struggling with life and could not keep her. While that may be true, we unfortunately found out that the same family had gotten a new puppy about a week ago. Peach deserves a loving family that can do their best for her. Due to finally getting records, I decided to have bloodwork done since there was not much in her files the original owner sent. Peach was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in March. We have gotten her the medication she needs and she has started showing improvement! She is very sweet and loves to snuggle/sleep. She loves everyone she meets and is always excited to see you! We have a kennel and bed that we will will happily give with her if need be. Please let us know if you are interested in this sweet baby angel!

Story
Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | If your life needs a splash of charm and a dash of playfulness, look no further than Dixie Rae. This darling Doodle is as bright and bubbly as a summer morning, and she’s ready to bring her signature "Rae" of sunshine into your home. Dixie Rae is the perfect mix of smarts and sweetness. With her soft, wavy coat and those soulful eyes, she has a way of convincing you that whatever she wants—be it a treat or just one more toss of the ball—is exactly what you want to do, too! True to her heritage, she is incredibly social and loves being the life of the party. Whether she’s greeting neighbors on a walk or playing "keep away" with her favorite toy, her joy is absolutely contagious.Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Story | Other Dogs | Cats | Children | Training | Leash | Activity Level | Moderate - your typical lab!Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!May 12, 2026, 11:30 am
