Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Meet Chester, a Golden Retriever who is practically a sunbeam in dog form. True to his breed, Chester believes every person he meets is a potential best friend and every day is an opportunity for a adventure (or a top-tier nap). Chester is looking for a home where he can be an active part of the family—whether that means weekend hikes, backyard fetch sessions, or curling up at your feet while you relax. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Story | Other Dogs | Cats | Children | Training | Leash | Activity Level | Moderate - your typical lab!Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!August 31, 2026, 2:15 am

*We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, August 29. We are offering private adoption appointments August 23-30 to pre-approved applicants. Contact us to learn more!* Amy has a big personality and an even bigger heart! She’s energetic, adventurous, fun-loving, and absolutely affectionate. Amy loves exploring her world, playing with her people, and soaking up all the attention she can get. She’s looking for the perfect family who will keep her active, shower her with love, and help her grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful little adventure buddy with a sweet, loving side, Amy could be your girl! Amy is a 2-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and spay. Amy is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. She is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information about our organization, please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Bailey, a sweet mama who’s already past the wild puppy stage and settled into her best, most well-mannered era. This Shepherd mix made her way from Texas to Colorado, and she’s ready for a home to call her own. Bailey recently finished nursing a litter of puppies and is still regaining her strength, soaking up some well-deserved rest before her next chapter. Bailey is everything you want without the puppy phase headaches: no accidents, no sleepless nights, no destroyed shoes. She’s completely house trained and will even bark to let you know she needs to go out. Crate training is underway too. She’s food motivated, eager to please, and quick to learn. She is the reigning queen of belly rubs and loves stretching out in the sun. Her happy place is curled up next to you for a cuddle. Bailey is gentle, easygoing, and great with kids. She’s sociable with people and settles in without drama, just a big, calm heart looking for someone to share it with. If you’ve been waiting for a dog who’s already done the hard growing up and is ready to be your best friend, Bailey is ready to meet you. ##2787690##

I respond to Mozzy, Littles, and “Treat?”.Age: 8 months.Height: unnecessarily tall for reasons that will become clear. Legs. For. Days.Build: part Golden Retriever, part Great Pyrenees, and what seems to be part gazelle, which basically means I'm built like a committee that couldn't agree on a single design so they went for optimal handsomeness.Looking for: Family and best friends. I mean, as far as I'm concerned, we already are — we just haven't met yet. That goes for humans and dogs. Especially dogs. I will walk up to any dog, of any size, and propose eternal friendship on the spot. A backyard and sibling pup would be the best environment. My love language is sitting proper and against your leg and staring up at you like you personally hung the moon, until you pet me. Did I mention I was charming? I don't know who taught me that move, but I've perfected it. I am a bit of a talker — communication is important, but I will say there is rarely reason to yell (bark)! I don't pull on the leash and not only am I potty trained, I use the doggy door like a big boy! I go to bed like a champ too — a treat or two, into the kennel, lights out. I might grumble for a minute out of principle, but I settle fast and sleep the whole night through.Hobbies include: Wrestling my seven-year-old lab housemate, tug of war, fetch, exploring, sticks (LOVE a good stick), toys of all kinds, and snuggles. I’m pretty curious about the world. I don’t destroy things but I am a bit of a relocation specialist, I’ll let you know what room I think that item belongs in and even move it for you! I'm working on sit, down, and come — I've got them nailed when treats are on the table, and I'm a respectable coin flip without one. Also learning to shake, I take a handshake very seriously, entering into agreements is serious business.Other pets: Dogs? Say less, I’m in. My lab housemate can be a bit prickly at times. I read her cues really well and know when it is time to chill out. Cats? Their boops can be intense but they make good cuddle buddies when they let me.Kids: I’m not being fostered with kids but have been around a few. My foster mom thinks I’d be great with kind, respectful kiddos! I mean, I’m a total sweetheart with everyone I meet!Adoption Donations: Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Story
We are looking for a loving new home for our sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family because we love her very much, but we have come to realize that she deserves a home where she can be more of a central part of everyday life. She is a genuinely sweet, affectionate, social dog who adores people and lights up when visitors arrive. She is wonderful with children and gets along easily with other dogs. With a medium energy level, she enjoys daily walks, hikes, and adventures, but is just as content relaxing at home by your side.We believe she would thrive with someone who has the time and joy to include her in daily life—walks, adventures, errands, and quiet time at home. Our priority is the right match, not a quick placement. We want a thoughtful fit where she will be deeply loved and included.
