Allow us to introduce you to Bruce!This handsome boy is looking for a home to call his own. Life with a loving family is a new experience for Bruce so he is looking for someone with lots of patience to help him along the way.While he might be a little nervous around new people at first, especially if you are on the taller side, once he warms up, he is ready for ear scratches and cuddles. He prefers to be as close to `his person` as possible and would love someone who is home more than not.Bruce is going to need a family who can take things slow and introduce him to the world. He has learned how to climb stairs while at his foster home though going out the front door is still very scary......thankfully he likes the back door and the back yard. He is not ready for walks yet - so many scary things out there, a delivery truck, wind, a leaf blowing on the sidewalk. A fenced in yard will be best.Thought to be about 2 yrs old, he is doing great with house training and sleeps soundly in his crate, though may take a few minutes to settle — especially if he thinks he is missing something happening in the house. Bruce is very food motivated (might even decide to check out the counter to see if he can find any snacks) though his love for treats helps to coax him along for new experiences.For the family with patience and time to work with Bruce he is going to be a wonderful addition to the family. If you use a little imagination, you might spot a heart on her forehead and butterfly-like markings on her side—perfectly fitting for a dog who’s learning to trust and spread her wings. Once she feels safe, her intelligence and quiet devotion really shine. She knows cues like sit, stay, and touch, walks nicely on leash with a collar or harness, and would benefit from continued leash training to boost her confidence.She can be startled by sudden or unfamiliar things—loud noises, fast movement, or even whimsical pinwheels—but what’s special about Holly is her determination to move forward. With repeated gentle exposure, she becomes braver each day (and may even ask to revisit the things that once scared her). Hi everyone! Billy here.As you can see from my pictures, I am an adorable, golden guy.Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a sweet boy, around 2 yrs old, who is scared of the world.... I mean come on, so many new & `scary` things out there. I am going to need a family who is very patient with me as I learn that life is good.I love toys. I mean, really LOVE toys (and socks but am told those are not for me). A yard to play fetch in would be wonderful. It is also where I am most comfortable outside right now since that leash thing and having to walk on it......I don`t know about that. Ideally my family will only have adults, maybe a teenager would be ok, but younger kids are a little too much for me. I am working on remembering I need to go outside to do my business. If you keep me on a schedule, then we should be ok until I master that whole concept. Another dog in the house is probably ok with me as long as I can enjoy my meals in peace. Hi there, Charlamagne here!Let me introduce myself, I am happy, go lucky guy who loves life. At a few months shy of 9 years old, they say I am a senior, but I am young at heart and ready to enjoy life.Give me a toy, especially one that squeaks and life is good. I am not really interested in playing fetch, but I do like my toys. I also love spending time in the yard and if I get to chase one of those little critters, I think you call them squirrels that is super fun. Walks are nice too and I am practicing my manners when on a leash. When we are not playing a snuggle or a good belly rub is very nice.In the house I am a great guest, if I do say so myself. I will leave your stuff alone; I know to ask to go outside to do my business and if you think it is necessary I will sleep in my crate......though I would much rather sleep on the couch if that is allowed. A canine friend would be ok though I am not really looking for a playmate so would be happy to have all of your attention.As you can see from my pictures, I always have a smile on my face.
