Story
Letti is a sweet, loyal girl who loves being near her people — whether she’s napping nearby or happily chewing on her favorite toy. She’s a cuddle bug at heart and is always ready to snuggle up on the couch or ask for some one-on-one attention (sometimes a little enthusiastically!).Letti enjoys spending time outdoors, especially chasing leaves and exploring the yard. She can be a bit shy on walks, so a patient adopter with treats and a secure harness will help her build confidence. She’s a smart girl who responds well to redirection and enjoys training sessions — they’re a great way to engage her curious mind and strengthen your bond. Letti does best with slow introductions to new people and dogs and will thrive with someone who understands her need to feel safe and secure. While confinement isn’t her favorite, Letti does well when given a comfy space and the freedom to relax. She’s learning that being alone is okay and shows her gentle, loyal nature by waiting patiently for her person to come home.Letti is a loving companion who will blossom with a dog-savvy adopter ready to give her the structure, understanding, and affection she deserves. Once she trusts you, she’ll be your devoted shadow — always close by, ready to love and be loved.Interested in adopting this dog? Resin is in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Resin is a truly special dog with a heart full of love. He’s what many would call a “velcro dog,” happiest when he’s right by your side and soaking up all the attention he can get. Around 11 years old, he loves being touched, is calm and affectionate, and has a gentle, kind nature that makes him an easy companion to have around. Resin is also fully house trained and settles into a routine quickly. In his foster home, Resin does well overall in his crate (he may take a few minutes to settle) and rarely barks. He’s content lounging on the couch when you’re home and relaxes easily. While he’s still learning basic commands, he’s eager to please and thrives on being close to his person. On walks, he does best with a harness since he’s strong, and he may chase small animals if given the chance.Resin would do best in a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and secure. He can be sensitive to raised voices and may shut down if there’s yelling, so a patient, gentle environment will help him shine. With his incredibly sweet and loyal personality, Resin is the kind of dog who will quickly become a devoted best friend. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Jordan Michael is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Jordan Michael is a little spark of curiosity wrapped in a soft, fuzzy black coat. Close to 3 months old, this feisty boy is always ready to investigate the world with his nose leading the way—whether that’s exploring new spaces or joining in on a lively round of puppy play. He’s social, loves kids, confident with other dogs, and brings just the right amount of playful mischief to keep things fun.Expected to be a large boy when full grown, maybe around 100 lbs, he’s already showing great instincts and structure for his age—keeping to a routine, settling well overnight, and communicating his needs with a bit of puppy chatter. Jordan enjoys human attention but isn’t clingy; he’s perfectly happy entertaining himself with a good chew toy after a busy play session.Smart, resilient, and food-motivated, Jordan Michael is a fantastic mix of independence and affection. With continued guidance (and plenty of playtime), he’s going to grow into a confident, well-balanced companion. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Story
Maya is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application. At around 2 years old, Maya is already living up to the meaning of her name — “illusion” or “magic” — because there’s something truly enchanting about watching this shy girl blossom into a loving, loyal companion. When she first arrived, Maya was timid and unsure, taking her time to come out of her kennel and trust the world around her. Now, every day feels like another little reveal of the sweet soul hiding underneath. She’s completely house trained, politely pacing or heading to the door when she needs to go out, and she settles beautifully in her crate when left alone or at bedtime. Maya may startle if someone moves too quickly toward her, but underneath that cautious exterior is an affectionate “cowardly lion” who wants to seem brave while secretly being the biggest baby around.Maya’s favorite kind of magic happens outdoors. She absolutely loves a fenced backyard where she can sprint around with other dogs, supervise the birds and squirrels, and soak up the sunshine. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, walks beautifully on a leash with frequent check-ins to make sure her person is still nearby, and takes her self-appointed role as staircase escort very seriously — one careful stair at a time. Inside the house, Maya has some adorable quirks that make her impossible not to love. She gathers her toys into a little collection at the top of the stairs, hangs out proudly beside her treasure pile during the day, and if you leave snacks unattended on the counter… well, Maya may decide the kitchen fairies left them there just for her.Though thunderstorms turn this sensitive sweetheart into a closet-hiding cuddle bug, Maya is growing more confident every day. She’s smart, incredibly treat motivated, and eager to learn, making her an excellent candidate for continued training classes. She only barks appropriately at exciting neighborhood happenings like doorbells, critters, or passing dogs, and while she hasn’t met children yet, her foster believes she would do well with respectful older kids. Because of her enthusiastic “bull in a china shop” energy, toddlers might get accidentally bumped during one of her joyful zoomies. Maya is looking for a patient family who will continue helping her build confidence, give her plenty of backyard adventures, and appreciate the gentle magic of earning th

Hi there, Charlamagne here!Let me introduce myself, I am happy, go lucky guy who loves life. At a few months shy of 9 years old, they say I am a senior, but I am young at heart and ready to enjoy life.Give me a toy, especially one that squeaks and life is good. I am not really interested in playing fetch, but I do like my toys. I also love spending time in the yard and if I get to chase one of those little critters, I think you call them squirrels that is super fun. Walks are nice too and I am practicing my manners when on a leash. When we are not playing a snuggle or a good belly rub is very nice.In the house I am a great guest, if I do say so myself. I will leave your stuff alone; I know to ask to go outside to do my business and if you think it is necessary I will sleep in my crate......though I would much rather sleep on the couch if that is allowed. A canine friend would be ok though I am not really looking for a playmate so would be happy to have all of your attention. As you can see from my pictures, I always have a smile on my face. I would love to meet you and spread some happiness at your house. Hope you come to see me soon.Interested in adopting this dog?
