Story
10 month old Golden/Pyrenees/Staffie mixPatch is a 10 month old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix looking for his forever home. His owners got him as a very young puppy, but didn’t know at the time that Patch was going to grow up and like to go after the neighbor’s chickens. They share that he is super sweet with humans, but just doesn’t care for livestock so he would be better off living in the suburbs. Please send us your phone number if you would love to hear more about Patch. July 10, 2025, 12:04 pm

Story
Sammy is a very special boy who’s never known the stability and love every dog deserves — but we’re determined to change that.   This beautiful Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix came into a rural Tennessee shelter as a stray in the fall of 2024, just over a year old. Life finally seemed to turn around when he was adopted that December, but heartbreak struck again. On July 1st, 2025, Sammy’s adoptive family lost their home and were forced to move into a small camper. At 75 pounds, there simply wasn’t room for Sammy — and with heavy hearts, they returned to the shelter for help.   Thankfully, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, and a miracle foster named Alyssa opened her heart and home to him. Sammy walked in with his usual gentle, submissive nature, as if he knew he was being given another chance. He’s been thriving in foster care with other dogs, soaking up the comfort and kindness he’s longed for his whole life.   Sammy is the kind of dog you can’t help but fall in love with. He’s incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate — soft to the touch and even softer in spirit. He walks beautifully on a leash and draws attention wherever he goes thanks to his stunning looks and soulful eyes. But more than that, he draws hearts in with his quiet plea for permanence and love.   We’ve promised Sammy that his next home will be forever. His dream home includes:   A fenced yard to safely explore A soft bed to call his own A family who won’t leave him alone for long hours And most of all — commitment and unconditional love     Sammy is ready to be your loyal companion, your gentle best friend, your heart dog.   Interested in adopting Sammy? Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Let us know your city and state — we transport from Nashville to the Northeast and adopt locally in Tennessee and out-of-state as well.   Sammy is ready. He just needs someone who’s ready to love him forever. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 13, 2025, 11:32 am

Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. As part of our mission, we travel to the Northeast weekly, bringing pets like Levi closer to their forever families. For more about our drop-off points and times, visit www.CritterCavalry.com. To adopt Levi, contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Levi is ready to bring love and joy to his new family—could it be yours? PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 12, 2025, 12:10 pm

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Keagan - a one-year-old Golden Retriever Shepherd mystery mix with a heart full of love and a body full of wiggles! At 45 pounds, Keagan is the perfect medium-sized bundle of energy, affection, and fun. His joyful personality shines through in everything he does, especially when he's showing off his adorable “wiggle butt” - a constant happy dance that’s impossible not to smile at. Whether he's doing zoomies around the yard or soaking up all the snuggles after playtime, Keagan is always either making you laugh or warming your heart. Keagan loves life and everyone in it. He's a social butterfly with both dogs and cats and is eager to make new friends, even if he might bark once or twice out of excitement before quickly turning on the charm. He thrives in active environments and would love a home where he has room to run, play, and enjoy the companionship of other pets or active humans. He especially loves toys, chew treats that keep him busy, and any opportunity to engage with his people. While he's still working on a few manners (like learning not to jump up for pets - he just wants to be that close to you!), he's making great progress and is very eager to please. He already knows “sit” and is doing well with crate training. Keagan usually keeps his crate clean and settles in quickly when given a toy or treat to enjoy. He’s also making great strides with housetraining and does well when kept on a regular schedule. Keagan is wonderful on leash and rides calmly in the car when crated. His foster family describes him as one of the sweetest dogs they’ve ever met and say he’s been an absolute joy to foster. With his loving nature, playful spirit, and irresistible charm, Keagan would thrive in a home that can keep up with his energy during the day and provide him with lots of cuddles when it’s time to relax. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, and entertaining companion who will fill your days with joy and your couch with snuggles, Keagan is ready to wiggle his way into your heart!  Interested in adopting? (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Graham is a beautiful, big-hearted boy with a tail that never stops wagging and an energy level to match! This one-year-old, 80-pound Lab Retriever (Maybe Newfie) mix is the definition of joyful enthusiasm. Always ready to run, play, and chase his foster dog sibling around the yard, Graham thrives on activity and would be the perfect fit for a home that can keep up with his zest for life. While Graham is all about movement and fun, he also has a deeply sweet and affectionate side. After a good play session, he loves to stretch out at your feet, soaking up belly rubs and relaxing in your presence. His loyalty and love for his humans shine through in these quiet moments, making him a wonderful companion both during high-energy adventures and peaceful downtime. Graham is still mastering his training, including basic commands and leash manners, but he’s a smart boy who is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement—especially if treats are involved! He’s mostly housetrained and keeps his crate clean, and although he may bark briefly when crated, he settles quickly with a toy or treat to keep him company. This happy pup gets along well with other dogs and even cats, although he prefers to take on the “alpha” role with other dogs in the home. He’s not aggressive—just confident and in charge—so a home with a laid-back canine companion could be a great match. He’s also wonderful in the car, riding quietly in a crate, ready to accompany you on your next road trip or outdoor adventure. Graham would do best in an active home with a fenced yard where he can safely run and burn off his youthful energy. Whether it's long walks, games of fetch, or simply chasing butterflies in the backyard, he’ll need regular physical and mental stimulation to be his happiest self. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate best friend who will stick by your side through every hike, play session, and cuddle break, Graham could be the perfect addition to your family. He’s a shining example of everything we love about Labs—joyful, loving, and ready for a lifetime of companionship.  Interested in adopting?
