Story
Clover is an approximately 4 year old poodle mix.  While in rescue, she delivered three beautiful, healthy puppies.  She has been a great mom to her puppies, but enjoys getting away for some fresh air and sunshine many times each day.  She seems to be fully housetrained, and even knows a few commands (sit, high-five, come, and down).  She is a very sweet girl who loves attention from her foster parents.  She seems to do well with other dogs of all sizes but will give a warning if they get too close to her babies.  When the babies are nowhere near, she enjoys being part of the pack. This sweet girl does well on a leash and enjoys taking walks with her family but doesn’t seem to need a lot of exercise.  She does want to chase rabbits and squirrels, so she would do well in a fenced yard.  We have her on a trolley cable where she is able to run a small amount, and she does nicely with that too. Clover seems to want to stay off furniture and doesn’t run, jump or chew indoors.  It appears she was very well trained.  Once she is finished raising her puppies, we think she would make an ideal family pet and could do well with more advanced training.  She’s such a happy-go-lucky girl that we think she’d do well in a variety of settings If you are looking for a lovable pup to join you with any of life’s adventures, Clover’s your girl!         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Rio – is a 9 week old lab mix puppy with light tan fur and beautiful green eyes.  He’s the largest of his litter of three, with a “gentle giant” demeanor.  He is the most independent of the group, and likes to explore on his own, or grab a toy and find a quiet area to play.  He’s definitely a leader, not a follower amongst his siblings.  Rio is quite affectionate, and enjoys running up to humans for some snuggle time.  He isn’t a big fan of being carried, so a gentle but firm hand is needed so he doesn’t wriggle out of your arms.  Rio and his siblings are quite lab-like in personality – they love to run, wrestle, and play tug-of-war.  Rio enjoys playing in his kiddie pool, and loves to chase the sprinkler or hose.  The pups have been in a large open pen, but we’re starting to crate train for short periods.  They settle in quickly and remain quiet through the night.  In fact, this litter has always been pretty quiet, making noises mainly when hungry.  They have been a dream to foster!  Potty training is still a ways away, but all three pups are learning to run straight to the door when coming out of their kennel in the morning or at meal times.  Rio will likely grow to be fairly large, so a home with adequate space would be best.  A fenced yard with room to roam would be wonderful, but with consistent training he could do well in other settings.  If you think this could be a good fit for your home, Rio would love to meet you!         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hudson – is a 9 week old lab mix puppy with chocolate brown fur and pretty hazel eyes.  He’s the “middle child” of his litter of three, with a happy-go-lucky demeanor.  He is the mama’s boy of the group, and loves to learn from her.  He’s definitely a social boy who really enjoys human interaction.  In addition to following his mom around, Hudson loves to go for walks with humans, managing to stay right on our heels (but somehow never ends up underfoot).   Hudson and his siblings are quite lab-like in personality – they love to run, wrestle, and play tug-of-war.  Hudson is all about enjoying life – if it’s time to play, run, explore, swim, eat, dig, climb, he’s all in with gusto. Hudson could grow to be fairly large, so a home with adequate space would be best.  A fenced yard with room to roam would be wonderful, but with consistent training he could do well in other settings.  If you think this could be a good fit for your home, Hudson would love to meet you!         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
**Currently Residing in a Foster Home.**I’m Merlin, a handsome 3-year-old grey Standard Poodle with a soft heart and a gentle soul. I was found as a stray, and when no one came to claim me, I made my way to Animal Ark to start fresh. I’m a sweetheart through and through. I am sensitive, smart, and eager to bond with someone who understands me. I do best in a calm home with adults or older teens (16+), where I can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the loyal companion I’m ready to be. I may have had a mysterious beginning, but I’m hoping my next chapter is full of comfort, kindness, and a family who sees just how great I am.

Story
Meet Lionel, the pup who truly has the best of both worlds! Lionel is the perfect balance between love and play—he is always up for a fun game of puppy tag, but he also has an amazing internal clock that tells him exactly when it is time to wind down and cuddle up for a cozy nap. Looking fabulous comes naturally to Lionel, too. His coat hits the ideal balance between fluffy and smooth, making him wonderfully soft to pet. And let’s talk about his face: those expressive, soulful eyes will make you want to pick him up first every single time you see him! Whether you want a playful partner for daily adventures or a sweet companion for evening movie nights, Lionel is ready to be your perfect match. Come meet Lionel today and let him steal your heart! Lionel is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 8.5 lbs. Since we dont know the dogs actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, and have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. Age: DOB 6/5/2026 Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: yes Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: no, just a puppy Crate trained: no, just a puppy Meet Krill, an adorable fluffball from the Sea Creature litter who is looking for an extra special forever family to give him all their love! Krill is deaf and has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a non-progressive neurological birth defect. What does that mean for this sweet little guy? It simply means he navigates the world with a silly little wobble in his step and an endearing tilt to his head, needing a safe environment and extra patient humans who are ready to embrace his unique charm. Despite his wobbly stride, Krill is just like any other happy, thriving puppy. He can walk, eat, potty, play, and do almost everything a regular pup does. He loves to run, barks with delight when he gets excited, and is always eager to show off his playful personality. When playtime is over, Krill turns into a world-class snuggler who wants nothing more than to curl up close and snooze. To keep this wobbly boy safe, Krill needs a home with limited stairs and no access to large open water. He would absolutely love to join a home with a friendly, confident furry sibling to help show him the ropes and lead the way. Krill also adores older kids and would be thrilled to have some teens in the household to cuddle with when he’s sleepy. Krill doesn’t know he’s any different, and if you have the patient heart and loving home he’s searching for, please apply to adopt him today! Adoption Fee: $795

Story
Age: estimated DOB 7-17-2025 Weight: 19.2lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Almost! I’m still a puppy! Crate trained: Yes Hi! My name is Dain, and I'm currently accepting applications for one very important position: My Favorite Person. The job includes couch cuddles, neighborhood adventures, cheering me on as I learn that the world isn't quite as scary as I once thought, and reminding me every day that I'm safe and loved. In return, you'll get a ridiculously handsome sidekick with striking green eyes, a goofy personality, and a heart that's just waiting to attach itself to his person. I'm a bit of a Velcro dog—I don't just want to be near you, I want to experience life with you. Kids are some of my favorite people (they're much less intimidating than tall adults!), and when we go out in public, be prepared for everyone to smile, point, and tell you how cute I am. It's just part of the job description. I'm also learning how to be a dog and discovering that life can actually be pretty fun. If my favorite human isn't around, I naturally look to my foster big sister for reassurance and will happily follow her lead wherever she goes. I haven't quite figured out this whole "playing" thing yet, but I think I'm getting close! Sometimes, if she walks away from a toy or a bone for a minute, I'll sneak over and grab it—not because I really want it, but because I'm hoping she'll come interact with me. I'm starting to realize that toys can lead to games, and games can lead to having fun with my friends. Every day my confidence grows a little more. I've been working hard on my house manners, too! Since getting neutered, I haven't been marking in the house. I do my business outside like a good boy, although I've had a few poop accidents indoors because, honestly, being outside is just so exciting that sometimes I forget to slow down and take care of business before coming back in. At bedtime, I'll happily go into my crate to sleep, though I may spend a few minutes letting you know I'd much rather be snuggled up next to you instead. I haven't been left home loose yet because I'm still settling into foster life, but I haven't shown any interest in destroying the house and would likely do just fine outside of a crate once I'm comfortable. If you're looking for an independent dog who barely notices you're there...I'm probably not your guy. But if you've always wanted a loyal little shadow who thinks you're the greatest thing in the world and just wants to do life by your side, I think we should meet. I have a feeling you might be exactly who I've been waiting for. Adoption fee: $795

- Age: 4 years old - Weight: 41 lbs - Dog friendly: Yes - Cat friendly: TBD - Kid friendly: Yes - Potty trained: Yes - Crate trained: Working on it & doing great! - REQUIREMENT: Calm doggy companion or human who is home often - Adoption fee: $895 Meet Molly! 🤍🐾 Looking for a best friend who’s equal parts cuddle bug and gentle soul? Hi! I’m Molly, a 4-year-old Goldendoodle, and my foster mom says I might just be the easiest roommate you’ll ever have. I’m happiest wherever my people are. I’ll play with a few toys for a bit, then happily curl up at your feet while you scratch my ears and tell me what a good girl I am. (Spoiler alert… I really am. 😉) I’ve become great friends with the resident dog in my foster home and enjoy having a buddy to play with, but my favorite thing in the whole world is simply being with my humans. I'd do best in a home where I’m not alone too often, or where I have a calm, easy-going dog buddy to keep me company. I really enjoy having a canine friend around, as long as they’re relaxed like me. An overly energetic or very attention-demanding dog might be a bit much for me. I want ALL the attention! I’m doing fantastic with my house manners. I haven’t had a single accident in my foster home! I’m also learning that my kennel isn’t such a bad place, especially when treats are involved. At bedtime, I sleep quietly in my kennel as long as it’s close to my people. Being nearby helps me feel safe, and then I’m off to dreamland. My foster mom says all I really want is someone to love… and she’s absolutely right. I don’t need anything fancy... just a family who will let me be their loyal shadow, share a cozy couch, and love me as much as I’ll love them. If you’re looking for a sweet, calm companion with a heart of gold, I think we should meet. I have a feeling we’ll be best friends. 💕
