Baloo is a beautiful and PERFECT 5 year gentle giant, approx 90 lb, wonderful lab and great dane mix who was surrendered when his family were no longer able to care for him. The REAL Bark has placed him in a foster home and he has proven to be the best boy - gentle and loves dogs of all sizes, housetrained and bonds well with his people. He is a bit shy with new people and brand new environments, but quickly adapts once he knows everyone around him are safe havens, and always gravitates to every nice dog he sees. Because of his gentle giant size and his shyness, which sometimes transpires into nervousness, his perfect home would be one that has a great secure yard where he can romp and exercise without the regular need to walk him in around busy streets. He is very chill in the home, enjoys his people and loves being loved and wants to please. Baloo is a super big sweetheart, a perfect dog, and is ready to melt your heart!! Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.

Hello, I’m Blue, a 5 month old spayed female Great Dane, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself. I love other dogs and get along with cats. Leash walks are a breeze for me, and I’m crate trained. While I have a sensitive stomach, that’s a small detail compared to my intelligence. I’m eager to be a great family dog and bring love and joy to your home. Ready to welcome me? Come by and meet me and all my other friends at Lovejoy and see if we have a connection. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Jango is 6 years old but still running around and very mobile. Jango is timid around strangers and other dogs but, once he is comfortable, he is a very well mannered and well behaved dog. He has lived with 2 cats for the past 5 years with no issues. I have had him boarded in the past and he does well. The only feedback I receive is that he is very timid. I, unfortunately, am going through a divorce and am needing to move into an apartment that does not allow dogs which is the reason I am looking for a new home for him.

Meet Minka! Minka's story starts very sadly. Unfortunately, her home took her to the vet and tried and put her down with no good reason... Thankfully, the vet knew that she deserved a better chance at life and alerted our rescue immediately. When we saw her face we knew that the right home was out there waiting for her. Since coming into our care, Minka has shown us just how playful and goofy she can really be. But make no mistake, she's also as regal as they come! We're still learning more about Minka and any questions about her are very welcome! We hope you can meet Minka soon!

Lulu is your next best friend! Lulu is a beautiful Great Dane and Pit mix and with those spots who knows if there's a little bit of cow in there too! Unfortunately, Lulu got into a tiff with her smaller big sister and have not been able to work things out since. She still gets along great with her big brother but it seems like she picks and chooses who she likes, so meeting her with your own dog would be required! Other than that, Lulu loves her owners cats and even her birds! She's great with people and a gentle giant all around. They're currently working on training with her until a new home can be found and they're hoping to see some big improvements! Please inquire if you would be interested in this sweetie pie!
