Story
Ernest came back to the shelter at 12 years old, which is way too old for any pup but definitely for a Great Dane. This guy needs to get out of here and into a home so that he can live out the rest of his life with a loving family. He has recently gone into a short-term foster situation and is doing well with the other dog in the house--we aren't surprised, he did well in his last home too! It has not been too long yet, but he is doing well with the cats too. He has been a little spooked by them, but he steers clear. Ernest is the best boy. He loves meeting people and a good nap.

Story
Maverick is a rescue pup we’ve had since he was 4 months old. He is now 9 years old but still full of energy. He’s house trained, loves sun bathing and playing with his toys which will go with him to his new home. He likes walks, snacks and belly rubs. He listens on command and will let you know he needs to go outside by touching the front or back door with his nose lol. He has 2 older human brothers that taught him how to box and is not afraid of a good match from time to time. Not as much lately as he is getting older. Because he deserves the best we are only looking for experience adopters with room and the time to care for him. A home with land where he can roam is ideal or time to walk him several times a week if not daily. No small children as he is a big guy and has no control of that tail. Also, Maverick is a house dog and this is not up for debate. He also is terrified of thunder and lightning. He deserves a family that can make him a priority.

Story
Unicorn is a dog that has done well with other dogs and kids in the home and is fine without supervision in the backyard. He loves to lay out in the sun. He loves to play with his rubber chicken toy. He is on a prescription dry food diet. Also up to date on all his shots. He does bark and jump at the window at people walking by and if he hears sounds during the day so not sure if he’d do well in very active areas and in homes with a lot of guests. We usually crate him if guests come into the house. He has a large bark. Knows basic commands like sit, stay and go lay down. He did have an incident at daycare where there was a dog fight between several of the large dogs and when the daycare worker came into the middle of the pack to separate, Unicorn bit the worker pretty hard in the scrum.

Story
Meet Oscar, a one-year-old Great Dane mix rescued from a high-kill shelter by Castoff Pet Rescue. Despite a very difficult start to life, Oscar has grown into a devoted, affectionate companion who bonds deeply with his people. Oscar is house broken, crate trained, and a true velcro dog—he’s convinced he’s a lap dog and happiest right by your side. He is playful, loving, and eager to be part of his family’s daily life. Because Oscar was severely abused, he can be protective of his people because he loves so deeply. With proper introductions and structure, he does well with dogs similar in size who are not overly protective by nature, and once comfortable, he truly loves to play. Oscar is not good with cats and will need a cat-free home. He is currently in a foster home with cats and he only chases them when they run, but it is not ideal. Oscar currently weighs about 60 pounds and is still filling out, so he may grow a bit more. He has already completed professional training, and his trainer will continue to support his future adopters, including offering free doggie daycare to help him maintain his skills and confidence. Oscar would thrive in a home familiar with large breeds that values continued training and understands the loyalty of a dog who has learned to trust again. In return, he offers unwavering devotion, affection, and constant companionship. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal shadow who will always be by your side, Oscar may be the perfect fit. Story
Kali is a female Great Dane (American style) that weights around 110lbs. We got her when she was a puppy from a reputable breeder of Great Danes. We love Kali but unfortunately we need to find a home for her because of a job relocation. Kali is 20 months old and is a very affectionate girl. She loves being pet and wants attention. She was trained by Rucker dog training and passed their extensive course. She is house trained, walks very well in leash ( doesn’t need leash as she heels during walk but we keep it on her). She has all her shots, she is spayed and we also had her stomach stapled for safety ( big dog stomachs can flip). She is socialized and has been going to dog daycare since she was 10 months. Again we hate to have to look for a new home for her but we have no other options.
