🐾 Meet Appa Appa is a loving, loyal dog who forms strong bonds with his people. He is very gentle and affectionate and enjoys cuddling, sleeping near his person, and being part of a calm daily routine. When he meets new people, he can get excited and likes to “hug” as a way of saying hello. He does well on walks, transitions calmly on leash, and responds well to structure and guidance. Appa enjoys companionship, consistency, and having a space where he feels secure. Appa would thrive best as the only pet, or in a home without small dogs or cats. He is not dog-reactive on walks or outside the home, but he can become territorial with other animals in his personal space. He is a wonderful dog who deserves a home that matches his needs, ideally with experienced owners, older children or teens, and no small animals. Our goal is to find Appa a safe, loving home where he can fully settle in and be his best self.

Mya is a newly-rescued, shy girl who is still settling into the world. She will need a calm, patient home that allows her to acclimate at her own pace and build confidence slowly. She is very food-motivated, does well with other dogs, and has been good with kids. Mya is also calm around cats and mostly just observes them. She doesn’t enjoy being alone and will do best in a home where someone is around often or willing to help her work through separation anxiety. At night, Mya loves sleeping on the bed with her person and finds comfort being close. With time, consistency, and kindness, she has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion.

Raya is a beautiful female Great Pyrenees who was found running loose in Richmond, CA. Raya was very scared and timid when she first came to Jelly's and wouldn't leave her kennel or take treats from staff and volunteers. She has made a lot of progress and now happily comes out of her kennel and enjoys going to the yard where she plays with stuffed animals and munches on treats. Raya is a true example of her breed. She let's you know if a stranger walks nearby and is a great protector. Raya is NOT for a first time dog owner. She needs extra time meeting new people or being in new environments, so would do best in a quiet, all adult peaceful, predictable home with no other animals. Adopt Athena! This beautiful puppy is a great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was a litter of 12 and we are able to help eight of them. 4 were given away by the owners. The owners had several dogs who were not fixed and had an accidental litter. Athena is a very sweet dog who loves to play and will be a bigger dog as she grows. She’s going to be a loyal companion and has been around farm animals/dogs. She was great with kids and a very great temperament.
