Raya is a beautiful female Great Pyrenees who was found running loose in Richmond, CA. Raya was very scared and timid when she first came to Jelly's and wouldn't leave her kennel or take treats from staff or volunteers. She has made a lot of progress and now happily comes out of her kennel and enjoys going to the yard where she plays with stuffed animals and munches on treats. Raya is a true example of her breed. She lets you know if a stranger walks nearby and is a great protector. Raya also has a lot of personality. She has her own ideas about what she wants to do and how she wants to do it! Getting to know her is a great pleasure in unlocking the mystery of what makes her tick! Inside Raya is a very affectionate, loving, and spunky gal. Raya is NOT for a first time dog owner. She needs extra time meeting new people or being in new environments, so would do best in a quiet, all-adult, peaceful, predictable home with no other animals. Adopt Athena! This beautiful puppy is a great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was a litter of 12 and we are able to help eight of them. 4 were given away by the owners. The owners had several dogs who were not fixed and had an accidental litter. Athena is a very sweet dog who loves to play and will be a bigger dog as she grows. She’s going to be a loyal companion and has been around farm animals/dogs. She was great with kids and a very great temperament. Miss Daisy is SUCH a sweet girl who loves to be hugged on and get lots of belly rubs. She loves to snag any rags or towels you have lying around and wave them around, given the opportunity! She gets her bursts of playful puppy energy, but will definitely let you know when she’s ready to play with nose nudges or making quiet chomping sounds! A pretty mellow girl otherwise. She loves going on walks around our local parks and doesn’t mind going on car rides. She’s an occasional barker (does not have a typical 'Husky voice') and has some protective instincts so we’re not sure if she could possibly be a ranch hand? She’s been crated for a few hours at a time when we go out shopping or out for a meal. Daisy does not get along with the other female dog in our household. She does guard her food and water, so we feed separately from our other dogs. We adopted her from a county shelter in Nov. '25. She has been attending regular training at K9 Tactical Training in Tracy since January 2026.
