Story
Valo is one TALL drink of water with eyes you want to swim in.   His journey started as a stray running near a park.  He was scared and would not let anyone close to him.  Once trapped he was taken into the shelter hoping an owner would come.  Sadly that did not happen and after minimal progress in three weeks, putting him in jeopardy, we made space for him.  He was terrified of people, touch, the leash and would not take treats.  We assessed he observed dogs so placed him with a buddy pack.  He observed and started to follow.  Eventually he would take treats if dropped, then from hand.  He started to tolerate touch, accept affection and now seeks it.  He boops with his nose and is a goof.  He does well with people and dogs but does sometimes react insecurely so needs someone prepared to be patient, aware and help him continue gaining confidence through positive experiences.  He still has a ton of puppy energy but once burned off settles. He is great on leash with proper handling, despite his size. He loves adventure and does well at all of our adoption events. He did well when cat tested but while fostered with a cat did not.  The cat was sick and elderly so we could not further assess and had to pull him back to the facility where he resides now.  If you are not ready for a permanent companion but can make room for a goofy dog he would greatly benefit by a foster to help him grow more with one on one in a dedicated setting.  It would help us get to know him better and prepare for his future home. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life. Story
Leon was relinquished to rescue due to being part of an accidental litter. Leon is the sweetest, most submissive, needy little pup we’ve met. We are helping him find his confidence and he continues to blossom every day. He needs a lot of reassurance and we want to find him a home with some that is gentle and has the time to devote to giving Leon all the cuddles he could wish for. He will be a big boy and we are guessing at least 100lbs when full grown. Due to his parents both having long fluffy coats, we expect Leon will as well once his adult coat starts coming in and he will be a dog requiring regular grooming. This has to start young, because trying to groom a 100lb dog that’s not used to it, is no easy task. He will need a home with the comforts of AC as summers can be to hot for a dog like Leon. Leon is already coming such a long way in his potty training. He’s crate trained. Walks good on a leash. He’s already learned sit. He loves the company of another friendly dog, with a gentle play style. He is also being fostered with a kitty and does great with her. Leon has shown characteristics leading us to believe he will be a very calm dog, with a velcro personality that just wants to please and get along with everyone. If this sounds like a pup for you, we’d love to hear from you and introduce you to him. Sending us a message is the best way to contact us. Please don’t call, we have to list a number on this site and it’s really just for our fosters and adopters and if your not programmed into our database the call won’t get answered.

Story
Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Breed: Great Pyrenees mix Weight: 60 lbs Personality: Shelby is a sweet, silly girl who is the best of both worlds! She adores her humans, kids, and her pooch pack. When it’s time to turn the energy up she’s a fun, playful girl. However, once it’s time to mellow out she’s pawfectly content lounging and relaxing at home. She’s lovable and loyal through and through! Education: This sweet girl was born with a condition that led to urinary incontinence. This may have been the end of her road, but TAP could see how special she is and stepped up to rescue her. She has undergone multiple procedures with TAP and is now ready to find a family of her own! She is house and bathroom trained and wears diapers when needed to help with any dribbling. Shelby is a smart cookie who is crate-trained and does well on the leash. She adores her pack but may be hesitant or a bit vocal around new friends/unusual sounds. Once she knows the coast is clear she warms right up! Favorite Activities: Shelby’s happy place is with her family. She loves playing with her furry pals and cuddling with the kids. She adores being outside, her toys, and getting out for walks. Like any good girl, she is also a big fan of her beauty rest. Looking for: Since Shelby is such a sweetheart, she would do well in a variety of homes. She would love other pups she can play with or go out for doggy playdates. She likes to chase cats, so they probably wouldn't be the best roommates. Shelby needs a loving human who is dedicated to her long-term care. She pawmises to love you for the long haul!l Special needs: Shelby will need monitoring with an established vet for her long-term urinary care. Adoption Fee: $ 350 ##1602168##

Story
Location Southern California. Transports available, short & long distance. Inquire for details. (If this ad is running the dog is available.) IMPORTANT! Please check your Spam/Junk folder periodically for replies. Little Bear is a good looking gentle Great Pyrenees mix boy. He is not large. Only at about 55 lbs medium size with soft GP fur and he loooves to roll over for belly rubs. Little Bear was rescued on his last day of life from a high kill shelter where he was abandoned by his owners after years of neglect and not paying any attention to him. He was scheduled to be euthanized after he caught kennel cough at the shelter when we drove 6 hours to his rescue. He soon has become a favorite at our facility being affectionate and people oriented. Little Bear is med age, possibly 5 years old or so. He is very active and like a good run around. He doesn’t seem to have many GP tendencies and acts more like an indoor lounger. So if you have livestock he will not be a good candidate as a working dog :) He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, dewormed. Very healthy with no known medical issues and is very agile and active.. Little Bear would do best in a home with no other male dogs. Cats, small dogs, small kids compatibility unknown and we prefer not to guess and take shots in the dark. He needs a place in a quiet location with some secure yard space where he can go potty and lounge, not in a busy city. Fencing at 5 ft height minimum. No apartments please. Experienced adopter would be great. We offer foster to adopt programs if you need time to decide if it’s the right dog for your home. Transports are available, short and long distance. We will not transport dogs however if you have other pets on property without prior introduction.
