ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Auggie! Auggie is a 6 year old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 65 lbs.  He'd love to have a family and a yard where he can run and play, his favorite thing to do. He is not really interested in going anywhere, home is where this big boy's heart is. Auggie is a loving and playful dog who enjoys all kind of toys. He's had one-on-one training and classes, knows obedience cues, and follows them very well. He is also walking properly on leash, is potty trained, and knows 'sit', down' and 'shake'.   Auggie will need an experienced owner and an adult-only family and must have a yard as he loves spending time outdoors.  He’s not used to being around cats and will chase them, so no cats for this boy. He's neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.00. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  February 14, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
Abby is a committed, loyal, and loving girl about 3 years of age. We brought her into our home 1.5 years ago as a rescue. Abby loves to play fetch, snuggle, and run around outdoors. She is extremely patient and gentle with our 2 year old son, who she loves more than anything. Abby has a great relationship with our 2 male dogs, but unfortunately just can't seem to get along with our other female dog and because of that we have come to accept we are not the ideal home for her. We believe Abby would do best in either a home with only male dogs or a one dog household. Abby is leash trained, responds to basic commands, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations.
