Story
How this pet arrived:Shasta was brought in by a community member on September 24, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Shasta, a sweet and energetic pup in search of a loving new home! Shasta was initially very shy when he came into our care, but with time, patience and a gentle approach, he is beginning to come out of his shell and share his affectionate personality. He enjoys receiving pets and attention from familiar faces. Shasta is still learning to feel comfortable in new situations, so he'll need a calm and understanding home that can continue helping him build confidence. He will thrive best in a home without the hustle and bustle of young children (under 8), but he has had positive interactions with other dogs in our care and may get along well with a canine companion. With gentle guidance and love, Shasta has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion! Come speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about him today. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption! Primary Color: Blue Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 69.9 Age: 2yrs 2mths 2wks

Auggie is a 5 year old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 65 lbs.  He'd love to have a family and a yard where he can run and play, his favorite thing to do. He is not really interested in going anywhere, home is where this big boy's heart is. Auggie is a loving and playful dog who enjoys all kind of toys. He's had one-on-one training and classes, knows obedience cues, and follows them very well. He is also walking properly on leash, is potty trained, and knows 'sit', down' and 'shake'. Auggie will need an experienced owner and an adult-only family. He’s not used to being around cats and will chase them, so no cats for this boy. He's neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.00.
