Bean is four years old, weighs 136 pounds, and has been with us since March 2023, when our daughter began serving in the Navy. Bean is very loyal, loves going for walks, and lounging in the back yard. He loves snuggles and tummy rubs - really any kind of affection will do. He is not a big chewer, unless it's a bone or food. He is very much house broken. Bean is a celebrity in our neighborhood. We are often stopped by neighbors who ask what kind of dog he is, and they always comment how beautiful he is. He loves to visit with people in our neighborhood - both children and adults - and is very friendly. Bean is not kennel trained. He does tend to bark when visitors approach or enter the house, but is not aggressive. He prefers not to be alone too much, so a home that has people around most of the time is best.

Meet Yeti! He’s a big lovable teddy bear who was left to fend for himself by his previous owners when they moved. He LOVES to play in water. He’s very treat motivated and eager to please. He’s pretty docile with other dogs. Yeti has a bad ear infection he’s seeing the vet for, so we’re sure he’ll be more excited about pets once that’s better. Meet Milkshake! We rescued this gentle soul just in time, and we’re so glad we did. Milkshake is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a wonderfully mellow, sweet, and calm disposition. We’re sure his playful side will come out as he gains weight and feels more comfortable. Currently, he’s underweight at 30 pounds and will need to gain at least 20 pounds to reach a healthy weight. Milkshake is fantastic with other dogs and loves all people. Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! So the rescue people named me Rascal, which is really not an accurate description of me!! I am SERIOUS :) I am not rascally, I am a pup but I am a good pup! I don't want to cause any drama in my new furever home, I PROMISE :) I have lived on the streets and I know that I don't ever want to be there again! I get my food/water/love/hope and plenty of fun in my rescue but I long for the same from a forever family. I don't think it is too much to ask, I mean look at my face my sweet and innocent face. It will show you that I am a wonderful boy whose "rascally" ways are far FAR behind me!! I am great with everyone, so hurry up and adopt me! Our adoption fee is $275.00 which includes Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, current heart worm test, DHPP booster, Bordetella vaccine, Microchip, Worming.Bernard DOB 11/21/2014 Male, Rottweiler Mix Bernard is friendly but would do best with a home with no children. House trained. Gets along with other dogs but is possessive with toys and food so he would do best in a home with no other pets.. Bernard is a big boy, approximately 75 lbs, who thinks he is a lap dog. Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Adopting from Hope Rescues saves the life of two.. the one you adopt and the one your adoption makes room for. We are a Rescue which means we physically go and save lives. Hope pulls animals on their last day of life from animal control facilities that still use the inhumane gas chamber to put to death homeless pets.
