Story
Angel is a 10 year old Great Pyrenees who came from a farm and was allowed to roam freely. She was always an outside dog. Her humans became unable to care for her and her companion, Buddy, due to health reasons. She is a sweet, gentle dog who is a bit nervous. At her age, she should have a soft place to lay her head and have no more worries about where her next meal will come from. She certainly will be able to transition to a house dog. If you are looking to provide a warm, safe home for a senior dog, then Angel is for you!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Angel's adoption fee with transport is $250.Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Hansel – The Big, Derpy SweetheartHansel is an approximately 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who has blossomed since arriving at FMAR in August. Like Gretel, he came from a tough start, but since being in care, Hansel has grown into a lovable, silly, and devoted companion. While he looks a bit more like a classic Pyrenees than Gretel, Hansel is far less of the typical guardian breed. He’s delightfully derpy—often running and barking at the wind or a falling leaf—then plopping down to rest his giant head in your lap for some serious snuggles.Hansel walks beautifully on leash and adores Gretel, his “not bio sister.” He would do well in many types of homes, from active families to quiet ones, as long as he has space to roam. He tends to get nervous around new people or animals at first but once you’re in his inner circle, you’re family for life.He keeps his kennel neat and isn’t interested in toys, but he LOVES being outside—ideally in a large yard where he can explore, sniff, flop, and roll around to his heart’s content.Hansel is a gentle giant who’s ready to find a family who will cherish his goofy, loyal spirit. If you would like to meet Hansel, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received.**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
Meet Scarlett – A Gentle Soul with a Happy HeartScarlett is a beautiful 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who has truly come into her own since arriving at FMAR. She came to us after it was clear that the busy energy of a very young child was more than she was comfortable with, and since then she has blossomed in the calm, supportive environment of our staff and volunteers.Scarlett bonds deeply with her people and is affectionate, attentive, and eager to connect. She is fully potty trained, knows basic commands like “sit,” and walks nicely on leash. True to her Pyrenees roots, Scarlett loves spending time outside and soaking in the world around her. When it comes to playtime, Scarlett has her own style. She enjoys tennis balls, but instead of traditional fetch, she prefers a game of keep-away or entertaining herself nearby. Her big, happy smile and constantly wagging tail make it clear she’s enjoying every moment.Scarlett has shown interest in interacting with calmer, lower-energy dogs, though we are still learning more about her preferences. She would likely do best in a home that understands her gentle nature and can offer a balanced, peaceful environment where she can continue to thrive.Scarlett is a sweet, joyful girl who is ready for a home that appreciates her for exactly who she is.If you would like to meet Scarlett, please submit an application for her on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. She is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea & tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care she has received.**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. Story
Hi my name is Bobbi! I am a good boy and I am looking for an active owner willing to offer training and exercise, but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and may be a bit too much for some families. I’m a fun-loving dog who loves to play chase, so a home with cats wouldn’t be a good fit for my exuberant personality. I love to play but I can be sensitive when it gets to be too much, I may do best in a home without young children. I can get nervous when I first meet someone, it’d be best for me to meet my potential dog siblings before I go home. I will need to continue my training and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.

Story
Theres a reason her name is Sugar. The sweetest girl on earth. Shes around 8 to 9 years old and was handed over to me years ago after living in substandard living conditions when I had a nice home. Shes extremely friendly with everyone and everything. Well trained to live in a home and never bites. Her kisses are even just her booping you with her snoot. She just needs attention and allergy meds. Other than that shes ready for a family home right off the bat. Im just looking for a place where she gets the attention she deserves because I work all the time and shes been at home alone for 16+ hrs a day with me only being able to do the bare minimum. Shes really an awesome dog and I can't emphasis how good of a dog she is. She is one of the most well behaved and good demeanor dogs you'll ever meet. Thats why it breaks my heart to see her spend so much time alone in a home where the other person can't interact with her because he's allergic.
