Buddy is a one and a half year old Great Pyrenees mix. He came from a farm where he was allowed to roam freely. He was surrendered to FOCCAS because his humans could no longer care for him due to health problems. Buddy is looking for someone to put some time into training him in basic commands and house manners and take him on walks. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Buddy's adoption fee is $275. Hi! I'm Watson, a 2-year-old fluffy heart-throb with one life goal: make friends with every dog I meet and convince them we're now besties forever. If another dog is heading off on an adventure, I'm already packed and ready to follow them to the ends of the earth. I need a bestie in my life. Bonus points if they like zoomies! Speaking of zoomies... I have two speeds: GO! GO! GO! and upside-down sleeping potato. If someone wants to wrestle, chase, or romp around the yard, I'm all in (I don't have much of an off-switch when it's playtime, we are working on this thing called "boundaries" right now). But my preferred sleeping position is flat on my back with all four paws in the air, because dignity is overrated. I'm also a professional cuddle enthusiast... for about five minutes. Then I remember I'm wearing this luxurious fluffy coat, get too warm, and relocate to the cool floor. It's not personal—it's just physics. Air Conditioning = Life. I'm pretty sure I was a polar bear in my previous life I'm friendly with people, love love love other dogs, and even get along with cats. I'm curious about everything, convinced every toy is the best toy ever made (but balls are definitely a fav), and that every treat has the finest ingredients. I'm house trained and ready for family life. Crates aren't really my thing yet, I'm a little claustrophobic. But I promised my foster mom to not eat her shoes if she leaves me free roaming in a room, and I am a dog of my word! I would much rather just be right beside you anyway, so I'll do best with a patient family willing to help me build confidence. This girl is one princess of fluff - she is shy at first in doggie playgroup but if the other dogs are gentle, she starts to bow and prance around to play. She dances and bounces like a bunny around the yard when she's comfortable. She is easily comforted by people and likes being near her foster family. Diamond loves being petted and brushed. She has a white/cream long coat with tan 'freckles' on her face. Diamond shows no signs of preferring being a 'working dog' and living with livestock outside. Instead, she finds her crate inside quickly and lays down to nibble her kibble one at a time. Diamond does not have leash experience, lays down and had to be carried to/from car and in Vet clinic. Car rides make her nervous, she did best in a crate for containment. Likely this girl had an isolated puppyhood in the rural county and not familiar with field trips; car rides and leashes. She is Quiet and does not growl or bark/whine when moved around. Guessed to be under 2 years old - just a teen! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and on prevention (negative for heartworms). Housetrained, crate trained and part of a suburban foster home.
