Story
I am looking to rehome my 9-year-old dog to a patient, understanding, and loving home. She is a sweet, goofy, and affectionate couch potato who absolutely loves her people. She enjoys belly rubs, being close to her person, and thrives on affection and companionship. Once she bonds with someone, she is deeply loyal and very attached. She does best as the only dog and only animal in the home, ideally in a quieter environment with land where she can feel calm and settled. She becomes highly reactive and overwhelmed around other dogs, so she needs a home that can avoid those situations. She also has separation anxiety and can bark when left alone, so she would do best with someone who is patient, consistent, and either home often or willing to work gently with her over time. When she gets very excited—especially when someone comes home—she can become overstimulated and may have accidents, typically bowel movements, when she is overwhelmed. This is usually tied to excitement or anxiety

Story
Meet Phoenix, a beautiful 3-month-old sable-coated girl with a survivor’s spirit and a heart full of love. Phoenix’s story started in the hardest way imaginable — she was found at just 2 days old after being thrown away in a dumpster. But this girl didn’t just survive… she rose. Bottle-fed from the beginning, Phoenix has grown into an incredibly personable, people-loving puppy who thinks humans are pretty much the best thing ever. Phoenix’s DNA results show she is a unique mix with strong herding, guard, hound, and working dog roots. Her top breeds include German Shepherd Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier, Great Pyrenees, Catahoula Leopard Dog, Chow Chow, Lacy Dog, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Labrador Retriever, and a few extra sprinkles of “one-of-a-kind.” Basically, she is part loyal guardian, part smartypants, part adventure buddy, and part oversized baby. At just 3 months old, Phoenix is already almost 30 pounds, so she is expected to grow into a large dog. Her future family should be ready for a big, beautiful girl with an even bigger personality. Phoenix gets along great with people and other dogs, and she is very curious about cats. She sleeps in her own bed every night like a big girl and has already learned that poop belongs outside. She is still working on the pee part of potty training, but she will use potty pads when they are available. Phoenix is sweet, social, curious, and full of potential. After everything she has overcome, she deserves a family who will love her, guide her, and give her the forever home she was always meant to have. Phoenix is ready to rise into her next chapter — could it be with you? Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
