Story
Introducing Linda, a sweet Great Pyrenees puppy who’s proving that good things come in adorable, tail-wagging packages! This little cutie is bursting with that puppy enthusiasm that makes everyone she meets fall head over heels. Everyone loves this girl! With her gorgeous coat and irresistible smile, Linda has mastered the art of brightening your day—life is her playground, and every day is the best day ever! Born around March 2024, this little lovebug is all about kisses and affection—if you're sitting still, expect a smooch! She’s a pro at leaning in for snuggles, and her signature move—the classic Pyr paw—is always accompanied by her cute little grin. With her irresistibly soft fur, she’s the perfect companion for hugs and endless petting sessions. Linda gets along wonderfully with other dogs (and even cats!), proving that her sweetness knows no bounds. When it comes to leash walking, she’s doing quite well—just needs a bit more practice to perfect her technique and soon she’ll be your dream walking companion. With a little bit of training, this sweet girl will be an amazing addition to any home. Whether it’s her cuddle skills, her lovable energy, or her charm that makes you smile, Linda is poised to be the superstar member of your family! Linda will need obedience training as she gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. She loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as her mentor as she continues to understand the rules of her new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. Story
Hi there! I’m Isabel, a sweet young Great Pyrenees pup with big brown eyes that will melt your heart faster than a popsicle in summer. Born around February 2024, I’m a playful girl with a loving personality and a knack for affection that could charm even the grumpiest of cats. I adore people and I’m all about the gentle hugs—my snuggles are top notch! I get along great with male and female dogs of all shapes and sizes, and even cats give me two paws up. I’ll admit, I’ve got a dash of independence and a pinch of guardian instincts, which means I’m not just cute, I’m smart and confident too! I like to think of myself as the perfect mix of a loving companion and a confident free spirit. I’m a breeze on a leash and have loads of potential for someone who gets us Pyrs and our fabulous quirks. Oh, and did I mention I’m still a puppy? Sweet, snuggly, and full of promise—that’s me! If you’re looking for a smart and affectionate puppy with just the right amount of Pyr sass, then look no further. I’m Isabel, and I’m ready to give you all the hugs, love, and loyalty your heart can handle!  Isabel will need obedience training as she gets older and more mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. Story
Introducing Goliath—a mighty name for a sweet and loving fellow who packs all the gentle goodness of his breed into a more manageable size. While he might not have the towering stature of his mythological namesake, he more than makes up for it with his big-hearted, easy-going demeanor. Born around August 2019, Goliath is a leisurely fellow who believes in taking life at his own pace. Shy but far from skittish, he has a talent for sniffing out the best spots in the yard, making it his personal mission to investigate every blade of grass with an endearing curiosity. With his gentle nature, Goliath loves to give kisses and nudge you with his nose, reminding you that he’s there with all the love in the world. After tragically losing his beloved owner, Goliath was taken in by the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society, who saw his sweet soul and knew he deserved a fresh start. Now, he's on the lookout for a new home where he can share his mellow, lovable charm. Ready to meet your new best friend? Goliath’s just a wag and a kiss away! Story
This is Allen, my ~5 year old Great Pyrenees who will be your companion and protector for life. He's incredibly loyal, and works hard to protect you against the worst of threats. (evil squirrels) He is loving and affectionate towards all people and knows no stranger. He likes to relax by taking up as much of your couch as possible for napping, rolling over to let you brush him, and accompanying you on every car ride. Allen is looking for a large yard to roam and watch over in a rural environment. He is at first skeptical of other pets, but as long as they're neutered and will let him sniff/inspect them for 3 minutes, he'll warm right up and be their protector. Allen just had a checkup with our veterinarian and passed with flying colors. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, will need a teeth cleaning in the next year, and has a gabapentin prescription for anxiety as needed. I'm willing to drive a distance for the right home. Please reach out only if you are an experienced LGD owner.

Story
If you are looking for a gentle family dog, that resembles a fluffy cloud with the floof of a polar bear, you have found him! He is incredibly dog-friendly, can catch a ball in his mouth, has wonderful house manners (including being house-trained) adores kids, and is great on leash including walking beside a stroller. The list could go on and on. I am enamored by how easy his company feels, familiar and so comfortable. Plus he is so darn handsome! You can see more including his love of a ball and his gentleness with kids. https://youtu.be/hASd1s9EqFk Franco has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in the home of a loving family. This is where his love of kids was discovered. With a newly crawling baby in the house it was clear that he understood gentleness and peacefulness were important and he delivered! This is how we know that he is quiet in his crate but will occasionally let out a little wooowooooo, a cuter than cute sound. This is also how we know he loves toys, understands the difference between his toys and the babies, and likes to carry a toy in his mouth when he goes outside to go potty. This is the kind of happy, easy boy who you will look out the window and see laying peacefully in the grass, with his toy and the sun shining on him. Heavenly! He has an easy-going nature and dreams of a family of his own to spend forever with. If you are looking for chaos and wild, Franco here is not the one for you, his entire being exudes gentle and calm, love and warmth. Best described as a couch potato, the opposite of busy or wild. Estimated to be 3 years old, weighing a perfect 79 lbs, this boy is carrying a big loving heart and all the traits of an adoring, loyal dog. His demeanor and look lead us to believe he is a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix but breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty, given the nature of him being a rescue. We can absolutely guarantee Franco is a heart-warming face with a gentle nature. One of my favorite things about is how peaceful his presence is. He is quiet company that feels like you have always known. Franco’s sense of good-company is seen with other dogs as well. We introduced him to a handful of new dogs to gauge his playfulness and friendliness with other dogs and we saw the same- friendly and easy-going. He was at ease and made connections with a variety of dogs, big and small, showing so much patience to some extra pushy and excited new friends. He has recently been accepted to a doggie-day-care program and comes home with A+ report cards! Franco is definitely dog friendly but does not need dogs to feel happy. Being a solo-dog would be no problem for Franco, he is at peace with just the company of his people. The only no we know is Franco needs a cat-free home. We feel confident his eagerness when introduced to our house cat was friendly but his size would be a bit much if he decided to chase the cat or even jump up to get a peek of him. Given his size and nature, we would love to see Franco in a home where his natural pace is welcome. A house with a yard though apartment/condo life is not off the table, a loving family, a playful but mellow-friend is welcome but simply- the good life. I can’t imagine many homes Franco wouldn’t be well suited for. He is going to show up and feel like he has always been yours. Plus, you’ll often have what looks like a polar bear skin rug on the ground when he is resting, very chic! If you can guard his big loving heart and keep the love coming his way, he promises sweetness, adoration, and loyalty in return. So, if you're looking for a four-legged friend who's sheer presence is calming, charming and one who has a golden-good heart, Franco is ready and available for adoption! Questions? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
George was found on 11/13/24 at Old Lorane Road and Lorane Orchard Road. It is unknown if he is neutered at this time. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
