Story
I got him as a few month old puppy. He was great at first but its now clear to me he is really meant to be a working dog and not much of a house pet. He has behavioral issues from being inside such as resource guarding. I think he would do much better on a farm or working dog environment with livestock. He was born Dec 1st 2024. I don't have any papers for him as he was a rescue but I was assured he is a purebred and has all of the traits. I had him tested a while ago for hip dysplasia and other joint issues and he is fully cleared on that. He should be perfectly healthy for a long time to come. I really hope he can be adopted by someone with a better environment for him as I feel I cannot provide the home he truly needs or deserves. He knows basic tricks and is potty trained. He can be extremely stubborn. He walks on a leash well. He knows verbal and hand commands but prefers hand.

Story
Cheddar is a very sweet boy, who has high anxiety. He needs lots of space and someone devoted who will work with him to help counter the anxieties and quirks of his unique breed combination. He like to bust out of our suburban yard and wander (great pyr trait) and he does have a higher small prey drive (husky trait). Overall, though, he's an absolute love who deserves more space and training time than we can give him.

Story
Meet Jazzy – A Gentle Soul Ready for Love! 💕 Jazzy is a beautiful 1–2-year-old Great Pyrenees / Cattle Dog mix — or at least that’s our best guess! With her soft, soulful eyes and sweet nature, she’s sure to steal your heart. Jazzy came to the rescue as a devoted mama to her three puppies, who have all found their forever homes. Now, it’s her turn to shine and find the loving home she truly deserves. On the shy side at first, Jazzy warms up beautifully once she feels safe and connected to her people. She’s a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to those she trusts. Jazzy is great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and seems to be okay with cats too — making her a wonderful addition to many types of families. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventions, and ready to start this next chapter of her life. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and gentle dog to welcome into your home, Jazzy might just be your perfect match. Submit an adoption application and let Jazzy’s journey lead her straight to you! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

** Tune in to our Facebook page (Great Pyrenees Rescue Society - GPRS) every Sunday at 3pm CT to see our dogs LIVE!  You can also find previous episodes on our YouTube channel (@gprspyrs). If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org. **  If Hannah were a novel, she’d be one of those beautifully written slow burns—the kind that pulls you in gently, page by page, until you realize you’ve fallen completely in love. This lovely little lady is a Great Pyrenees with a calm spirit, a quiet soul, and just a dash of mystery. Born around July 2022, Hannah’s not the life-of-the-party type—more like the girl in the corner reading poetry, waiting for someone kind enough to sit down and really see her. She’s the kind of girl who prefers soft-spoken love stories over action movies, and she’s not one to rush into things. New people? She’ll need a minute. But once you earn her trust (hint: gentle pets and soft voices are her love language), she’ll reward you with the kind of loyalty that will melt your heart into a puddle. Since settling into her foster home, Hannah has begun to discover the art of silliness, especially when playing with the resident dog, her furry partner in backyard shenanigans. Hannah will need a canine companion in her forever home—someone to show her the ropes, share the zoomies, and remind her that life is better with a buddy. Hannah is a smaller Great Pyrenees, which means she brings all the floofy charm of the breed in a slightly more compact package—perfect for those who’ve always dreamed of a Pyr but weren’t sure they had the square footage! Leashes are still a bit of a mystery to her, so she’ll need someone who’s willing to teach her at her own pace—but with kindness and consistency, she’ll learn they’re just another way to walk beside you. Hannah is looking for a home that’s quiet, steady, and full of love—the kind of place where she can take a deep breath and finally exhale. She’s not flashy or loud, but if you’re a person who believes quiet love is the loudest kind, and that every great dog deserves their time to bloom—Hannah may just be your perfect match.
