Story
Meet Bashful: Bashful is a 1.5 year old (as of September 2025) Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd Dog mix that weighs about 65 pounds. This litter (Snow, Bashful, Happy) was born in rescue about 1 week after their mama (Jesse) was found as a stray and rescued. The family stayed together with their foster while the rescue they were attached to looked for homes, however that rescue stopped operating and the foster still had the dogs. Our rescue stepped in and are trying to find these sweethearts great homes. Bashful is currently being fostered in the Birdsboro, PA area with Charlie’s Crusaders and would love to meet his forever family! Bashful lives up to his name, he needs time to warm up to new people. We feel he will make a wonderful companion for a family that has the patience to work with his shyness. Bashful is learning what it is like to be part of a family by watching the other dogs in the home. He is doing great with the dogs, both large and small, in his foster home and the cat.  Bashful is working on leash training. He is crate trained and house trained. We would love for Bashful to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. Bashful is microchipped, up to date on his shots and neutered. Bashful is ready for his forever family. If you are interested in adding this handsome guy into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Fill out an Adoption Application Keep Calm and rub my belly is Bunny's motto!   Bunny is a 4-5 year old Great Pyrenees from Asheville NC. She is a Jetsetter, shedder, and best momma ever. She will throw herself in front of you for belly rubs and you will laugh out loud.  It is impossible to look at Bunny and be sad or mad. Her beautiful soulful eyes will melt your heart and command you to rub her belly and be happy! She is sweet and loves the indoors unlike her ancestors. Storms are not Bunny's favorite as she has seen some scary ones.    Bunny is a favorite at the vet’s office, her foster mom’s office and even the groomer! She is loved anywhere she goes. Bunny is sweeter than cotton candy and ready to live her DIVA life after motherhood.    Raising 10 fabulous babies was fun but, Bunny is ready to move on and be your sweet companion. Bunny's bark is even sweet sounding. She does enjoy letting everyone around her know she is on the job! Bunny can be left alone with out getting into any trouble and has never had any accidents in the house.    Bunny does really well with meeting other dogs! At her fosterer's office and the pet store,  etc., she is kind of a diva and is un-interested after the initial meeting. She would love to PLAY once she had the opportunity and intros to an area she is not “in charge of” (like her half of the foster home).   Click here to watch a video of Bunny.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Hi friends! I’m ANNA, a gorgeous pure-white, fluffy Great Pyrenees coat, and a personality full of vibrant colors. I’m a cheerful companion who loves making my friends smile. With a growing vocabulary of commands, I’m eager to show off what I’ve learned. From the moment I greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile, I’m told I light up the day. Playtime is my favorite part of the day—I have fun tossing toys in the air for my own amusement and playing tug-of-war with ropes, but I am happiest when sharing the fun with my human friends or my favorite dog pals. Affection is my love language. I’ll happily roll onto your lap for belly rubs and cuddles, all while contentedly chewing on my favorite toy. I thrive in the company of other dogs and am always expanding my social circle through positive introductions. I especially enjoy playing with younger and smaller pups—but truthfully, I just love to play with my dog friends. My sister and I were found wandering as unclaimed local strays, just six-month-old pups trying to survive on our own. Thankfully, a kind-hearted woman rescued us and brought us to LaMancha. Now at 18 months old, I’ve grown from a bit of a wild child into an affectionate, people-pleasing young lady who’s ready to leave kennel life behind and find a forever family to call my own. I am always expanding my social circle through positive, dog-savvy introductions and thrive in the company of the dogs I now call my friends. I request a physical fence. I appreciate a spacious area where I can safely stretch my legs and enjoy off-leash fun. It would also be the perfect spot to play with dog friends and romp around together in a secure, open space. I may be fully grown now, but I’m still a young pup bursting with playful energy and a big heart full of love. I’m eager to have a person I can count on for guidance, so I’d do best with an experienced dog owner who will continue my training and help me to grow into my best self. I’m incredibly affectionate and adore spending time with both my human and fellow dog friends.   To adopt me, ANNA, please email Adoptions@LaManchaAnimalRescue.org ********** Spayed, UTD vaccinations, microchipped, wormed.
