Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Cutie-pie Coral is the cloud-like cuddle expert with a heart as fluffy as her coat! Coral is a 12 week old Great Pyrenees mix and weighs 26 lbs. This fluffy bundle of joy loves frolicking with her siblings and doggy friends in the house. Coral's a sweetheart who gets along with kids and dogs. She's a puppy, so she will need a patient home with a consistent potty schedule. Coral is a typical puppy, who loves to play, explore and snuggle. Great Pyrenees owner experience would be a plus because young Coral is growing by leaps and bounds! Seriously, Coral has been so well-loved and socialized in her wonderful foster home that she's full of love and can't wait to share her gifts: love, joy, and snuggles with you. If you're ready for a lifetime of friendly companionship and have a soft spot in your heart for furry family members, Coral is your girl! Apply to adopt today.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. November 29, 2023, 10:09 am

Story
Look at this charming boy we call Jelly Roll and he is JR for short.   This 10 month old Great Pyrenees mix started off as a mistake litter and the man who allowed them to run free range on his property for months, soon found himself in a real pickle with the authorities.  He has to find a place for these pups or he was going to be fined for them running loose.  He was making noises that he would be shooting the 6 males puppies to avoid a fine.  Yep…he meant it too.  So Critter Cavalry has stepped in to the picture and boarded this handsome pups, neutered, gotten them all up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and put these handsome boys on prevention and microchipped them.  We are intent on getting them homes with people who will work with some of their rough edges and shyness.  They are good, good young Great Pyr mix dogs.  Jelly Roll in his younger days was accidentally run over by his owner with his truck. His leg was not looked at and he does have a slight limp from the broken leg healing without attention or a splint.  It doesn’t stop him and you really have to LOOK hard to notice the slight limp.  Jelly Roll is all love and heart and is sweet as sweet can be.  He is 80 pounds of love and is a very special boy.  He is a friend to all other dogs, good with children and could care less about cats.  We cannot say he is housebroken because he has honestly never lived in a house.  We want to change that with YOU!  Can you help this boy have a foster home or a forever permanent home?  He is ready to get out of the boarding kennel and be embraced with unconditional affection and acceptance.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in changing his life forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 29, 2023, 9:47 am

Story
Vandross is our handsome Great Pyr mix boy that is nothing more than a HUGE baby at heart.  Born on Thanksgiving Day 2022, he will be celebrating his first birthday very soon and we are so hopeful that he will have a new family to take him home just in time to give Thanks together. Critter Cavalry Rescue is dedicated to finding him a home and homes for his brothers, Elvis, Black Eimen, Luther, and Jelly Roll.   Vandross would love to have a family of his own that offers him inside dog beds, family time watching football, movies or Animal Planet!   He came from a not so nice situation where the owner was going to shoot him and his siblings so that he would not be evicted for having too many dogs that roamed without a fence.  How could anyone think of such a horrendous thought with such a spectacular creature?  Vandross is still growing and is currently 75 lbs. and a possible top out weight of 90 pounds over the next year.  He is so very loving, great with other dogs, children and even a friend to cats. He has not had much work on the leash and his Great Pyr stubbornness comes upon him when he sees a leash.  He does finally resolve himself to being walked on the leash.  He just needs to have a daily consistency on making it a regular daily routine.  He has come so far and has finally started accepting love and relaxing in all the new worldly experiences that have been coming his way.  This boy is a quick learner and all he wants is to please and give his people his undying LOVE! If you are ready to stroke this handsome boy’s beautiful fur and kiss his face hello every morning then please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready to be claimed by a wonderful family with a fenced yard to help him stay close to the house.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 29, 2023, 9:47 am

Story
This sweet boy loves to be loved and love in return. He is a simple guy - loves to bask in the sun and could cuddle all day and all night. He hates buses and trucks and isn’t a big fan of car rides. He prefers to be an only child - no other animal or human siblings. This is the hardest decision we have ever had to make, but can’t take any chances with two new babies in the house. He was originally rescued at 9 months, and we would be celebrating his 7th gotcha day in February 2024z Please consider giving this sweet boy all the love we wish we could for the rest of his years.
