Story
Arriving to Pittsburgh soon! Coming from a shelter, my history is a bit of a mystery, but here's what my shelter friends said about me: "Who wants a best friend??? Sophy is your girl and she isn't picky! She likes to say hello with a hug and kiss as soon as she meets you- this girl does not meet a stranger. She also greeted neighbors down the row with a wagging tail. She let me pick her up with no issues and had the cutest little freckles. Once in the run outside she was little barky, but I just think she wants to play and was excited (and there were also lots of barking dogs around). If you are interested in learning more about me or helping other dogs like me, please submit an application here: https://barkaboutit.org/apply/

Story
Folks, meet Ranger! He is an 5mo old Great Pyrenees. Ranger is a typical puppy, will be active and engaging, and then sit down and binge watch Netflix with you.. But also as a puppy, he likes to chew on things (like shoes), and like a Pyr, he will bark at night noises (wind, invisible ninjas climbing the fence, etc.). Ranger is working on his leash training.. Or not, it’s an ongoing challenge. He is up to date on his shots, and microchipped. If interested in meeting this Handsome Hunk, please contact Sandy , or respond by e-mail - Ranger will LOVE you for it! We will also need you to fill out our adoption survey . Ranger will need an above ground fence for safe play and exercise. We are looking for homes in the surrounding Pittsburgh area. For more information please contact Great Pyrenees Club of Western Pennsylvania Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization or visit our web page http://www.swpapyr.org for more information. Thank you for supporting animal rescue!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet handsome Buddy, he is 7 years old.… Buddy is calm, and friendly. He is initially a tad nervous and would benefit from a family that has love and patience to give him. He is gentle with his treats and not very demanding of your time. Buddy came from a situation where his owner passed away - but even in life, Buddy was left to his own devices… he is now learning what it’s like to be part of a family, and enjoying the interactions. A calm home where he can be a couch potato would suit him just fine. Kids over 10-12 who know proper dog etiquette, Buddy would adore that. Buddy does need to make up for all the love he lost out on, so that’s only fair - we’re hopeful that in his later years we can find someone to offer him the loving companionship that he has been looking for.. Buddy will be an amazing addition to a family that gives him some time to come out of his shell and has a low key, calm household. He will be a super easy dog who would demand nothing more than a soft bed, two square meals and humans who love and adore her like he deserves. If you are interested in Meeting this wonderful boy.. please contact Sandy or The Great Pyrenees Club of Western Pennsylvania Rescue - thur www.swpapyr.org, or respond by e-mail - Buddy will LOVE you for it! Story
Meet Handsome Fritz, He is about 7 years old, and has just completed his heartworm treatment. Fritz is up to date on shots, and doing wonderfully. He Fritz is great with kids. Fritz is a sweet, smart dog who is going to be the love of someone's life. He adores people and getting pets and will do just about anything in order to get your attention and get some belly rubs from you. He is extremely loyal and promises to devote his whole heart and soul to his people. Fritz will need some help with leash manners.. He is very excited to join you on excursions, but clueless as to what to do when you place him on the end of a leash -. He loves pummeling piles of leaves and we suspect he is going to absolutely adore snowfall when that time of year comes. Handsome Fritz is up to date on shots, Neutered and Microchipped...and just waiting to meet you . If you are interested in Meeting this wonderful boy.. please contact Sandy or The Great Pyrenees Club of Western Pennsylvania Rescue - thur www.swpapyr.org, or respond by e-mail - Fritz will LOVE you for it!
