Story
Zorro is a Great Pyrenees / Retriever mix boy born in May of 2021.  Zorro is a very sweet boy with adoring eyes who takes some time to get to know people in a new environment.  This gentle giant is about 75 pounds of very laid-back dog who saunters when he walks.  He rides well in the car and would be a perfect companion for one-person home.  He shares his yard at HALAH with his best friend, Luka. Zorro is already neutered and is ready to share his calm, loving nature with his new house.  What a handsome boy! Zorro is only available to meet at the HALAH grounds by appointment. See www.halah.org for more information, pictures, and find an Adoption Application on Zorro's page. Or email Home.At.Last.Animal@gmail.com for other information. Story
♥&#239&#184&#143 Meet Jacques ♥&#239&#184&#143   Jacques is a handsome Great Pyrenees, about 1–2 years old, with the sweetest, most gentle heart. He was found running rural roads in Ellis County alongside a 7–8 month old GP who had suffered a devastating leg injury.   After two long days of searching for hours, we finally found them and rushed both straight to VEG ER. Thanks to quick action and amazing care, both dogs are now doing well. Sarah bravely underwent a leg amputation and had her sutures removed two weeks post-op.   Through everything they’ve endured, Jacques has remained calm, loving, and incredibly gentle. He gets along well with other dogs and has adjusted nicely to both crate and leash training.   He’s ready for a fresh start and a forever family who will love him the way he deserves.   If you’re interested in adopting Jacques (or this sweet bonded pair), please fill out an adoption application at TexasACR.org .   #TexasACR #GreatPyrenees #RescueDogVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Our passion is centered around assisting animals that have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are a foster-based rescue consisting of 100% volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please email info@TexasACR.org   March 15, 2026, 7:40 am

Story
♥&#239&#184&#143 Meet Sara ♥&#239&#184&#143   Sara is a beautiful 7–8 month old Great Pyrenees who has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. She was found running the rural roads in Ellis County with Jacques after suffering a devastating injury that left her leg severed.   After two long days of searching, we were able to bring both dogs to safety and rush them straight to VEG ER. To save her life, Sara underwent a leg amputation. Two weeks later, her sutures were removed, and she hasn’t looked back since.   Sara is now a proud, happy tripod and she does not let it slow her down one bit. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving. She gets along well with other dogs and has adjusted beautifully to crate and leash training.   This resilient girl is ready for her forever home, one filled with patience, love, and the security she’s always deserved.   If you’re interested in adopting Sara, please fill out an adoption application at TexasACR.org .   #TexasACR #TripodStrong #GreatPyrenees #RescueDog  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Story
Luna was dumped on our road (rural) at about 4 months in March 2025. She is about 16 months now. I took her to the vet before I let her with my dogs. She was perfectly healthy. She is crate trained and is the sweetest personality. So patient at the food bowl with my seniors. I have posted her in several places to try to find owners. I have 4 other dogs ages 2-13. I love her so much but I just don’t have room for her as she has grown up. She weighs 72 lbs. I don’t want a rehome fee, I just want someone who has room for her and will treasure those sweet eyes and the best temperament of any dog I have ever had. I will send her 42” crate with her. She rides very well although she isn’t eager to jump in the car. She loves my great grandkids and is so happy to see them when they come. I have one cat and she has never chased her but it is an outside barn cat. I live in the country so can’t go through our local shelters. Thank you for considering my baby
