Story
I have two boys and one girl, who are a Pyrenees/Lab mix. They are from a rescue litter born here but are looking for good homes. They are a year old, fully vaccinated, neutered/spayed, and microchipped. They are paper trained and mostly house broken. They are indoor and outdoor raised alongside other dogs, cats, and various farm animals. They are all fantastic dogs and each have their own unique personalities. They will make great companion and/or guard dog. As their mother is a fantastic dog to us. Lemon is a sweet heart who loves to cuddle up under your feet. She seeks out attention yet loves to be outside playing and patrolling the yard. She often follows you around the house but while outside enjoys playing with other dogs and/or jumping on our trampoline. She is content to be outside all day but likes to come in during the night.

Story
CHESTER IS ABOUT ONE YEAR OLD, 77 POUNDS. His ancestry is extremely varied as there were 17 breeds found in Chester. All we can say is that he is GORGEOUS and a big boy at 78 pounds. While he does not LOOK like a Great Pyrenees, he has double dew claws on his back legs and has the same, L A I D B A C K personality. Below are the breeds listed on his DNA profile: Great Pyrenees, Australian Cattle Dog, Collie, Boxer, Rottweiler, Chow, Husky, Shar Pei, Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Labrador, Bloodhound, Dalmation, Chihuahua, APBT, Dalmation, American Eskimo. Basically, Chester is just Chester. He does seem to have more Great Pyrenees traits, as in laid back. We are still getting to know Chester's likes and dislikes. He has a BFF names Maggie who is also waiting for her forever home. They play so well together!! For more information, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com

Story
Smokey is a loving and silly dog but needs to be at an adults only, single dog household. He is an alpha dog with food/toy aggressive behavior towards other dogs. Smokey is extremely food motivated and is easily trained for rewards. He has a lot of energy and lives for a walk or ride in the car! He has never had any problems with accidents in the house, chewing, etc. and is a healthy, energetic dog. He is majority Great Pyrenees with lesser but equal parts American Staffordshire Terrier, Border Collie, and Boxer. Small children are not ideal for Smokey and he does not realize how big he is. We have a newly walking baby and Smokey does not like to be approached or grabbed by her. It breaks my heart to rehome him as I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and love him very much but we are faced with this very difficult decision for our daughter.

Story
Sammie joined Rescue Row in July of this year after wandering up to someone’s property. She spent 3 months with a medical foster recovering from FHO surgery (the ball of her femur was knocked out of place, likely due to being hit by a car). Now that she has healed, she is ready for adoption! From Sammie’s foster mom: “Sammie came to us as a quiet, reserved pup. She has become a playful girl that loves to go on long walks, play with toys and play with other dogs. She needs another dog in her forever home. She is potty trained and crate trained and is learning her leash manners quickly.” Sammie is 1 1/2 years old and oh so sweet. According to Wisdom Panel, Sammie is a mix of 13 different breeds! Her top 5 breeds are Great Pyrenees, American Pit Bull, Lab, Chow Chow and German Shepherd! Due to her breed make-up, no apartments please! If you would like to adopt a dog from Rescue Row please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1508123##
