Story
Breezy is working hard to overcome the trauma of being abandoned but she is not squandering the luck that brought her to CAP. Shelter life is stressful for her and she is extremely cautious with people she doesn't know. But you should see her stubby tail excitedly wag when she sees the CAP employees she is used to. She weighs 60 pounds and is very fluffy. She leads while on a leash as she curiously explores her surroundings. She is alert and skittish, stubborn and independent. She knows the sit command. We don't know yet if she is house trained or how she'll behave with dogs, cats, or children. Because of her current distrustful nature and wariness, she'll need to live in an adult-only home and be very slowly introduced to any other pets. She is jumpy and may lean on your when she needs comfort. Please offer beautiful Breezy the home, family, security, and love she deserves. (tw 6/8/2024)

My name is Ted, but mostly my hooman calls me Big Guy. I'm maybe 3 years old. I wandered into my hoomans front yard trailing my leash, but a search near and far hasn't found my people. So here I am looking for a new forever home! I come mostly when called unless I am busy sniffing something I love in the big back yard; I also sit and shake on command. I'm very treat motivated and will sit and wait until told it's OK before gently taking the goodie from my person. I use the doggy door like a pro and love to get brushed and petted, often laying my head on my hoomans lap. I'm a great watch dog and protector of my person. I need a family to love me! Story
Olive is a smart little girl. She is doing well with potty training. She will occasionally pee on a potty pad in her kennel. She's very food motivated and knows "sit" & "down." She gets super animated with mealtimes and starts dancing and barking (the only time she ever barks). She has learned "kennel" and when foster mom says that she hightails it to her kennel and sits to wait for her dinner quietly. She plays hard and "herds." As a puppy, she playfully nips and bites and chews (she's also teething) so young kiddos would not be ideal around her right now without proper training. She is 100% kennel trained as far as settling and sleeping through the night etc., She sleeps on her back in her crate. She's quiet and a very good girl! She loves ALL the puppies and ALL the peoples. We would consider her right in the middle between the submissive and alpha of the pack.... just right! She also is a shadow girl, of course. She follows her foster mom everywhere. She is very loving, but she gets hot easily, so she is not much of a cuddler. She will hang out at your feet, but she gets too hot too quickly to be in your lap.
