Story
TS Colby Chaos, R 12E, L 75145 Hi - My name is Colby and I am one haaaaaandsome greyhound…or at least that’s what I get told EVERY TIME I’m out and about on a walk. But don’t worry - I haven’t let it go to my head. I love getting outside to go on walks, taking time to explore all the sights, sounds and smells. I do have some greyhound “freeze” to me and I can be a bit strong willed when I want to go a certain way - so some patience is needed and a treat fanny pack is essential. I am getting better and better at going with the flow on walks but a baby crying in a stroller or a Caribbean jerk chicken food truck are just things I must stop and check out. My foster parents got me a really nice mat to lay on outside because I also just love loungin’ in the sun and being a nosy neighbor - saying hi to people as they walk by. I definitely need space to get my zoomies out - so hopefully you have some sweet yard space or know of a good dog park we can go to. Speaking of getting outside, I also really like car rides - I am great at getting in and out of the car too. Squeaky toys!! I love squeaky toys!! I definitely get into playing with my toys around the house and in the yard. Sometimes I love having them thrown for me and I will bring em back and then wrestle around with them and play tug of war with my foster parents. I do have sleep startle, so unfortunately, I can’t really cuddle up to you while I sleep, however, I do have my times where I love cuddles, scritches, scratches and rub downs. In the morning, when I’m ready to get up I love it when my foster Mom comes down to my bed and gives me lots of kisses and pets. She rubs all down my back and I go into cockroach mode and ask for all the scratches on my tummy and chest. My foster Mom calls me her “cheeky monkey” and asks me to do BIIIIIGGGG stretches in the morning - so I’m ready for the day. ; ) I also LOVE to jump on the couch with my foster parents when they come after work - we do lots of pets and I get tons of kisses. My foster parents tease me by grabbing my paws and my buns and I like to play bite and do “cobbing” where I give them little nibbles to let them know how happy I am and that I love them. So, hopefully you can see I have a lot of love and affection to give. I’m good with stairs now too (I routinely go up and down about 7 stairs), which is exciting. I’m working on slick flooring. My foster parents think I haven’t noticed but I know they took up some rugs to force me to try. I’m humoring them by walkin’ on the kitchen tile with no problems at all. Like I mentioned earlier, I do love a good car ride and sometimes I get driven to the pet store…what an adventure!! Because I’m working on slick floors, there are times I’ve been brave and walked around the entire store and sometimes I’ve only wanted to go a bit past the cash register…I’m a silly guy, what can I say? I’ve also been completely trustworthy at home so I am not kenneled when my foster family leaves. I’m allowed to have full access to the kitchen and living room - so I can be comfy cozy on the couch or in my bed. I am a very sweet, fun, joyful, silly and don’t forget handsome boy looking for my forever home. I’d love it if you considered adding me to your family.
