Story
Age: DOB 3/6/24 Weight: 8.5 pounds Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older considerate kids only Potty trained: Very close, but still has a few accidents Crate trained: Does well left out in the house Irving is a very sweet little toy poodle; Irving is about 18mo old and weights about 8.5lbs. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and has good teeth. He is very shy when you first meet him and will take time to warm up but when he does look out. Irving will need a fenced in yard as he may run and is very shy. He loves to play with toys, people and other dogs. He uses a puppy door to go outside to potty and loves the outside sometimes he doesn't like to come back in unless you go out and get him. Irving is smart, funny and has a foot fetish. He will catch them when you put them up on something and then lets them go. Also, likes to nibble at your ears, neck or your hair but will not bite or hurt you. Irving would be good with shared walls as he rarely barks. He likes to sleep in bed with me and his doggie friends and likes to nap in a puppy bed. Adoption fee: $695

Story
💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Forgotten Star Brewing in Fridley on Saturday, 2/14 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm! 💚 Age: around 3 years old Weight: 13.4lbs Dog friendly: yes, requires another dog in his forever home Cat friendly: yes, cats must be dog savvy Kid friendly: older/considerate kids only Potty trained: yes, on a good schedule Crate trained: yes, does well in the crate when left alone REQUIRED: another dog within the home Henry is a sweet playful pup that is eager to join your crew! He is a non-shedding dog (possibly a mix of Maltese and something else?). This pup is shy at first, but warms up and is then eager to get ear scratches and to be near you while you work, sit or prepare a meal. He will even clean up whatever bits you drop on the floor! While at his foster home he has been around older children and done well with everyone. We don't know for sure how he would do with younger children, but he has only been kind and sweet with all people and animals that he has met. If he is unsure he just backs away and gives people space. He is even kind with cats and other dogs. Henry is a relatively quiet dog. He will bark to be let out or in the house and he will greet you with barking when you return home after being away. He has gotten very good at going into a crate to sleep at night and will occasionally seek his crate to sleep in during the day or to get away from the business of the day. He is food motivated which helps with training and motivation. He is always eager for his next meal. Henry will do well with a family that is patient with him while he warms up to you and your home. He will benefit from having another dog in the home so he can easily learn your routines and norms. He prefers to be out in a fenced yard to play, but will also go on walks. This little pup is eager to find his forever family and to start settling in! Adoption fee: $595

Story
History and A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Teddie! I’m almost 12 years young and on the lookout for a very special adopter—someone who will love me exactly as I am. For the first eight years of my life, I was used only for breeding, and I wasn’t in great shape. But then my foster mom and an amazing rescue stepped in, cleaned me up, and gave me all the care I needed. Four years ago, my last rotten teeth were removed—but don’t worry, I eat everything just fine! Kibble, canned food, crunchy treats… if it’s food, I’m in. Since I have no teeth, my tongue likes to hang out, which everyone says is pretty adorable. When I was first rescued, I was terrified of everything. I’ve come a long way, but I still startle easily—especially since I can’t hear. I’d be happiest in a calm, quiet home where life moves at an easy pace. I’m learning that pets and snuggles are wonderful, but I’m more of a “sit nearby” kind of girl during the day (though at night, I love to snuggle in bed—our little secret!). I’m even starting to warm up to visitors and will sometimes ask for attention, as long as they’re gentle and patient. I’m also making great progress with potty training. I do have a routine—meals first, then #2—so someone who understands my schedule will help me succeed. If you’re kind, patient, and have a big heart for a little dog with a lot of love to give, I just might be your girl. I’m ready to spend my golden years with someone who will cherish me forever. ❤️

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       DOB: 12/07/2022 Requires another dog in home: Yes, another well-balanced dog is required Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: No Weight: 10 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  Yes, required Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Are you that kind of special person that's looking for not just any dog who immediately loves you and wants to be with you all the time, but one who makes you work for a relationship instead? Kind of like a cat but perky and house trained?. Corbin is that dog, he is  very afraid of being touched by humans but he definately loves them.  He's come a long way in his short life and he actually really enjoys being pet and scratched, but on his own terms. He often approaches to be pet when you wake up in the morning being flat on your back and perhaps a little groggy. If your sitting, you're much less scary.  Corbin loves to play with other dogs and truly loves the companionship of other dogs big or small. A role model dog is really important for Corbin as is a fence to keep him safe. Corbin is house trained, and crate trained, and a very good listener.  Corbin struggles to trust people and no doubt it's because of past experiences. He is the sweetest little guy with a huge heart and you can see that in him every day.  He wants to trust and he loves to be loved, his past is just in his way. If you're that special person who knows how to work with a frightened dog, who has endless patience to wait for him, and be on his schedule, Corbin is for you.  Corbin is an overall, very happy dog who loves the feel of the sun on his face when he's sitting outside, with other dogs and LOVES treats.  All he need snow is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a family that will help him be the best he can be! With time he will learn to trust – we are taking baby steps. Will you take those baby steps with me? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending! DOB: 11/29/15 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hi there, darling. I’m Jenni — a distinguished senior lady of the fabulous Lhasa Apso variety. Think less “old dog” and more “retired royalty with excellent hair.” Sure, I sleep a lot. Beauty rest is important when you look this good. But don’t let the naps fool you — I still get the occasional zoomie… well, more like a graceful wiggle with enthusiasm. Toys? Love them. People? Also love them. Lap space? Especially love that. Now, full disclosure: I previously lived with a tiny human. Let’s just say… I prefer my roommates potty-trained and able to respect personal space. So I’m currently accepting applications for a calm household without small children where I can enjoy my golden years in peace, luxury, and a well-curated nap schedule. I can be a smidge cautious at first. I like to scope things out. Conduct a vibe check. But give me a little time and I’ll promote you straight to BFF status. I’m loyal, devoted, and an expert-level snuggler. I won’t bark your ear off. In fact, I’m so quiet you might forget I’m there — until you look down and see a small, fluffy constant by your side. In a world full of chaos, I offer stability. Warmth. Soft snores. And unwavering companionship. All I need is one faithful human to share the couch — and maybe a toy or two.  Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up.
