Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dee Dee is a very sweet, 3 year old, 20 lb, Havanese possibly with Cavaliar King Charles mix in her (this is what we were told)-we don't necessarily see it, but who knows! She is a very sweet girl, good with dogs, cats and people of all ages. Dee Dee wants to love and be loved. She loves being with people and she transfers her love and devotion very easily! She wants to spread the love, the more the merrier! So in this sense she would make an awesome family dog! Even though she is only 20 lbs, she has a rugged quality to her and loves to go for walks or trips to the dog park. Dee likes to go along with whatever the family is doing, kind of thing! She can be a bit assertive to other dogs when on a leash, (even though she really is good with dogs, on a leash she can be barky and assertive), so we are working on that and adopter should continue to work with that. Dee Dee is fostered with another male dog and is his playmate! She really seeks out a playmate! Dee Dee has been fostered with bigger female dogs and did fine and a cat. She can live with a cat, but sometimes wants the cat to play and can be pouncy at times, so if your cat doesn't want to be bothered too much, you may want to consider that. Dee would be good with children, again she would make a great family dog. Dee Dee loves to sleep in the bed with you (at least in the beginning of the night) so we are seeking someone who is fine with that.
