Story
Hello, my name is: PeepApprox. DOB: 05/07/2025Weight: 15.1 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female HavaneseRescued From: Breeding kennelPeep has only known a life in a kennel before arriving in our care. Being in a home is scary, but her puppy curiosity shines through more and more every day. Peep needs a calm home with a resident dog to learn from. Eventually, we can see her wanting to play like a puppy should. She is working on her training, so her family will need to be understanding as she learns. With gentle guidance and some space, we know she’ll thrive. Peep is scared now, but one day she’ll be a confident and loyal companion – we can see it through her scared exterior. Please help us find Peep the kind family she needs to live her best life. Help us continue to step up for dogs like Peep and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Titus is a 4yo 12lb Havenese/Bichon/Maltese mix. He’s dog friendly but doesn’t like them in his face, or sharing his food and toys with them. He’s kid friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule which is out every 4 hours so not to potty in the house and pee pad trained once he knows where it is. He has been used to being in a crate for about 3.5hours during the day but will sleep in crate. He’d be good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. He loves large squeaky toys but will destroy them to get the squeaker out so needs to be watched and not left with them overnight. He loves his people and will follow them all over the house. He’s sweet, affectionate, playful, active, loves to cuddle and walks outside when weather is good. He does bark when his people 1st leave which tends to last 10-15 minutes. Titus’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, another dog for companionship when left alone, people to give him time to warm up to new environment and people then tons of love and cuddles once he does along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Titus as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Titus is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Hi!  My name is Buster and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up by Animal Control and taken to a scary place called a shelter.  Upon arrival, it came up that I am a repeat offender and have a record with them of wandering looking for friends (especially the ladies!).  My owners said they were unable to contain me and signed me ove to the shelter; fortunately, BCAA heard of my plight and said they would help me and got me sprung and to one of their fosters ... yeah!  I am a happy and energetic boy who just wants to meet everyone to say hi. The vet feels like I'm about 7years old and am a healthy weight at 26lbs.  I recently got groomed which you can kind of tell in my pictures, and yes, my haircut around my face is not the best so please don't hold that against me, but the groomer said I just didn't want to be stand still and cooperate ... oh well, it's only hair and will grow out!  I have gotten along with the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered the cats I have encountered.  I have also done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of any bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you and will sometimes let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you.  I am pretty good on leash but will pull some if I see something or someone I want to visit.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Somebody get me out of this old age home! That’s what Boomer is saying about his stay here. Boomer is a very healthy, playful, and active 11-year-old Havanese/Terrier mix. While the other dogs who live here are happy to nap the day away, Boomer loves to run and go for long walks. He really needs to find a great new home who can give him the time and exercise he would like. He is friendly with other dogs when outside but he can be quite territorial in the house. Therefore, we are looking for a home with no other animals. Boomer came to us after he was surrendered by his owner to the shelter. His owner said he didn’t like children, so adults-only homes please. During Boomer’s behavior test at the shelter, he showed signs of resource guarding for food and toys. We have worked with him on that but his new home must know how to continue this training. We are hoping to find the ideal home for Boomer. We learned that his previous owner was physically and verbally abusive to him. As a result, Boomer can be fearful at times. If he thinks he’s going to be scolded, he retreats to the sofa or a corner. He needs a new home that will be patient and loving with him, as well as knowledgeable on how to deal with his behavior challenges. If any force is used on him, he will try to protect himself. Boomer is smart. He knows how to sit, stay, and come, and also gives kisses on command. He really wants to be a loving, trusting dog. He has come a long way since he arrived here. Are you the new person he is looking for to give him his happy, forever after? Please complete an adoption application found at https://www.flfosenioranimals.org/adoption and note that we only adopt within 40 miles of Baldwin, MD, as we must do in-person home visits.
