Story
Blue Breed: Siberian Husky Age: ~2 years Sex: Male  Blue is a strikingly handsome, well-mannered young Siberian Husky with an easygoing and respectful personality. He has excellent house manners and is a joy to have around. Blue is fully potty trained and walks well on a leash. He is attentive, responsive, and gentle in the home. When food is present, he may briefly investigate but then settles calmly and waits—no begging or disruptive behavior. He listens well, comes when called, and transitions smoothly between indoor and outdoor time. Like many intelligent Huskies, Blue is clever and resourceful. He has learned how to unlock standard gates, so his future home will need to ensure gates are secured with a carabiner or similar locking mechanism at all times. Blue was found as a stray, and despite efforts to locate an owner, no one came forward. He did not have a microchip and is now safe in rescue care. Ideal Home: Blue would thrive in a home that understands the Husky breed—one that can provide regular exercise, structure, mental stimulation, and secure fencing. His calm demeanor paired with his intelligence makes him a wonderful companion for the right family. Blue is currently settling in with his foster and continues to show what an exceptional dog he is. Adoption information will be provided once he is fully ready. If you’re looking for a well-behaved, intelligent, and affectionate Husky, Blue may be the perfect match.  ##2623523##

Story
Barbara spent two long months in the shelter before finding her way to Southpaw Rescue. Just a year old, this gentle soul is wonderfully social with other dogs but still learning to trust people. It's clear she hasn’t had much kindness from humans in her short life—she watches from a distance, quietly longing for love, but too shy to ask for it. Despite her timid nature, there's a spark in Barbara that says she's ready to blossom with the right person. She needs a patient, compassionate adopter who can help her feel safe and show her that love isn’t something to be afraid of. Barbara is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to begin her journey home with someone who believes in second chances. If you are interested in meeting Barbara, please fill out an application here: https://www.southpawrescue.com/adoption-application

Story
Originally got the dog for our toddler but I am pregnant with a second child and have neither the time nor the energy for a young dog. She is a sweet dog but a lot of energy. She is house trained and good with our 3 year old daughter. We also have a cat who she tries to play with but the cat wont have it. She has not met a lot of people but like I mentioned previously she is very sweet natured. She has all her shots though she is not spayed. I wish I had the energy and time for her but I simply do not. She does prefer females is a little skiddish around men. Doent bite, doesnt growl, only barks if left alone.

Story
Alaska is a beautiful husky. She is 12 years old. She is kennel trained but I would like her to have a home where she is loved and is able to be free. She is a quiet dog. She rarely howls. In the 12 years that I’ve had her she has howled maybe 10 times. To tell you she needs to go out, she will come up to you and pace in front of you. She loves attention and likes to play with her lovey. She loves to walk. She loves to be hugged and lay on you. She understands when you talk to her. Common words are to walk, sit, paw, lay down, go to bed and more. She loves kids, is good around other dogs.
