Story
I’m Snow, an approximately one-year-old, male puppy with the most beautiful light grayish-brown eyes. According to a DNA test, I am a real mix, but most of that mix is Siberian Husky (see my DNA test results in the pictures). I’m a high energy, athletic, adventurous, bold and playful puppy, who is always exploring and sticking my nose into things to figure them out. I love walks, love new things, and just think life is fun! I’m also one of the best snuggly sleepers ever — I love my people with everything I have. I have a big heart. Because I am pushy and bold, I will need reinforcement from my humans and benevolent dog friends to keep me following the dog rules on sharing toys, people, and spaces with other dogs (I always have followed the rule that the human gets it without any pushback from me!). I’ve learned those lessons on toys, people, and spaces with other dogs and am consistently good at working it out appropriately with the other benevolent dog. When it comes to high-value chews, treats, food-filled kongs, and meals, better to put me separate because those bring out the bratty pushiness in me and can easily make the other dog mad at me (and the other dog is right to be mad at me because she gave me lots of warnings before she lost her patience with my efforts to get her stuff). l am an eager learner and super smart. I have so much energy that the adult dogs I live with don’t always want to play, so I taught myself to throw the ball down the stairs to play catch with myself, then run back up the stairs and do it again!  I am good at keeping myself occupied with toys! The best family for me is one that will commit to giving me a lot of exercise (hikes, runs, long walks, etc.), training me with basic obedience (I’m a fast learner) and continuing to teach me the social skills I need to be the sweet dog I am and have tons of dog friends like I want.  That family will definitely have a calm, confident but not dominant, patient, and benevolent adult female dog willing to look the other way when I get too pushy, but who still wants to play and connect with me.  I excel at the husky talk so an apartment is not for me. A backyard would probably be best unless you just happen to be one of those people who walks, hikes, bikes, etc. a lot throughout the day. If you want to be loved 1000% by a dog that is loyal, smart, athletic and sweet, and are willing to invest your time and energy into teaching me everything I need to know to grow into a mature and balanced high-energy husky mix, then you will be so lucky to adopt me! Story
Hello perspective furever family! My name Maple because I’m so sweet at about 5+ years old. I am a bigger girl at about 60 lbs. but don’t take up too much space in a home. Being older, I am a lower energy girl but delight in daily walks. I am good for about a mile then like to slow it down and stroll along. If you want a furry friend who will talk with you, I am always good for a chat. While I love being in the room napping with my family, I am also still an independent girl and not clingy. I’m not super expressive with my tail but don’t worry, I still enjoy getting occasional scratches and cuddles. I even give kisses to other fur babies in the house… including the cats if they let me! Being so mellow I will treasure a quieter home with older kids and time with my future family. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Story
Hello! My name is Jet, and I am a happy-go-lucky Siberian Husky about five years old. I am seeking an adoptive family that leads a calm lifestyle because I can be a couch potato at times. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a walk to smell the roses or if you have a car, I love rides and would rather let the car do the work, not me. Oh, and I have good leash manners and will sit and wait for my leash to be hooked/unhooked and not walk you while we are out. I even know sit and shake! My favorite past time is napping near my family and getting scratches. My adoptive family will hopefully have older kids because I don’t have energy for youngsters. Just to let you know, I can fit into just about any family as I have a few foster sisters (dogs) and foster cats that I enjoy sniffing. Even though I am a Husky I have to say I do not fit the stereotype at all, and you will love me from the get-go! If I sound like a fit for your family swipe… I mean fill out an application and be my furever family! Story
Jessie is drop-dead gorgeous and a total sweetie pie. In photos, she looks like a big husky, but she's actually a petite little 44-pound, pocket sized bestie. Jessie is one-of-a-kind! Around 3 years old, Jessie is good with big dogs, but does not prefer the company of little dogs or cats. Her fur is so soft, when you hug her it's like hugging a cloud! She's looking for an active home with a pack leader. When she likes you, she will give you the paw of approval, sealing the deal: you're now one of her people. Don't even get us started on her eyes! Love blue eyes? Brown eyes? She has the best of both worlds! Jessie has been at the shelter or stuck in boarding for half her life. She needs a foster or forever home!April 24, 2024, 6:30 pm

Meet Sable, a sweet and intelligent dog with a heart full of loyalty. At 6 years old, she's curious about the world around her and loves to explore it through exercise. She's smart enough to learn new tricks and commands quickly, making her an excellent companion for those who love to teach and play. Sable is also very loyal, always ready to stand by your side and give you her undivided attention. However, she needs a strong leader who can guide her and help her use her energy positively. Sable's curiosity and love for exercise make her a great companion for active individuals or families. Her sweet nature and loyalty mean she'll be a loving addition to any home. Sable deserves a home where she can continue to grow, learn, and love. Sable is good with other dog but sorry no cats!
