Story
Ludo came into our care after the passing of his beloved mom. He is approximately 15 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. According to his mom’s sister, Ludo was “deeply, deeply loved” and spent his life peacefully coexisting with two cats. Despite his age, he still lights up at walk time, enjoys playing with toys, and gets the most endearing, puppy-like zoomies when he’s excited. We’ll continue to share more about Ludo as he settles in. Stay tuned for updates on this sweet boy! To meet this handsome boy, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member on January 16, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Reggie is a fun-loving, high-energy boy around 1 year old who's always ready to get out and explore. He's confident, curious, and enjoys being on the move, whether that's heading out for a walk or investigating everything around him. Reggie can be a little jumpy at the start because he's so excited, but he settles in nicely once he's had some time to burn off energy.Reggie is partly independent and enjoys doing his own thing, but he never forgets about his person - he loves to check in, accept some pets, then head back out to play or sniff. He bonds quickly with people and has a sweet, friendly nature that makes him easy to like. He also enjoys entertaining himself with toys and does well settling after outdoor fun.On leash, Reggie walks well overall but can pull, especially when he sees other dogs, so continued leash training will help him shine. He's housetrained, easy to leash, and eager to make new friends. Reggie would do best with an active adopter who can keep up with his energy and help guide him as he grows into an amazing companion. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 43 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on June 23, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Maddie is a sweet, sensitive gal in search of a loving new home! Maddie is a bit shy initially, but has made great progress with positive reinforcement training. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through and she seeks out gentle affection like chest rubs and back pets. Maddie has a positive history with other dogs and has enjoyed playdates while in care. Due to her shy nature, she would do best in a home where any children are 12 years and older and can respect her boundaries. She will thrive with continued positive reinforcement training and a quiet, understanding home that allows her time to build trust and confidence. With patience and consistency, she will reward her adopter with loving affection and loyalty. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet soul, come meet Maddie today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 61 Age: 3yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Dash was brought in by their previous owner on January 3rd, 2025 Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Dash - a young hero in training who's still learning that the world beyond the island can be a safe and friendly place. Like many supers just discovering their powers, Dash can be a bit cautious at first, but with patience and a calm, steady approach, his sweet and sensitive nature begins to shine. He may seem a little reserved on first meeting, but once trust is earned, you'll see the makings of a truly incredible companion. He's not walking on leash just yet, so Dash will need a fully enclosed outdoor space where he can safely potty and explore, along with a cozy, low-key spot where he can retreat and recharge between missions. Dash would do best in a home with children ages 8 and up, and all family members should be present for the meet-and-greet. With encouragement, consistency, and a little belief in his super potential, Dash is ready to become someone's everyday hero! At SDHS:Dash has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Zoe may prefer to be the only pup in the home, and she'd do best without young kids. If you do have another dog, we'd love to set up a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good match. Story
How this pet arrived: Hunter was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on September 30, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Hunter's got a heart open to love and plenty of charm to share! While he's been in our care, we've learned that he loves treats, belly rubs, car rides and having those classic Husky conversations. Due to a mixed history with other dogs, if you have a resident dog at home, a dog-to-dog introduction on-site is required to ensure a good match. Hunter would do best in a home with children older than 6, and in an environment that can limit his exposure to unfamiliar dogs. He also benefits from slow, thoughtful introductions to new people and places, helping him feel safe and confident as he settles in. Think you're ready to meet this sweet, handsome guy? Hunter's calendar is wide open for naps, snacks and taking over your couch. Ask about adopting him today! At SDHS:Hunter has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!Dog Reactive Dog: Hunter requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him.
