Story
Kuma was rescued hours before he was euthanized, he became euthanasia listed due to a bee sting to the leg, which swelled and required antibiotics as well as becoming high fear, anxiety and stress after being locked up for over 2 weeks after the accident. Surrendered to the shelter by his previous family, reason "No one left to care for him". (Owner surrendered notes will be disclosed to potential adopters.) Kuma is a very unique pup, confident, social, affectionate, independent yet dependent for your attention, he can be athletic as well as a couch potato. He is amazing with kids and other dogs' medium to large. Kuma is gently, goofy, playful and beyond loyal not only to you, your family but his dog family and friends as well. We are thrilled and in disbelieve Kuma is still with us. This is a pup you have to meet in order to understand how amazing he is. A total camper, road trip, adventures dog ready to sniff and explore the world with you and your family. He nurses his blankets and makes biscuits like a cat. He snuggles his toys and loves the laser toy. A total water dog, who absolutely loves to splash around. Aware of kid's surroundings and dog's space. Kuma is truly one of a kind pup. Please apply is you would like to know more and get to meet Kuma pup!

Story
Sandy is a 16 month old 37lb Siberian Husky / German Shepherd mix. She was found as a stray in a neighborhood, and was the most loving dog even from our very first interaction. She has a ton of puppy energy still, and wants to play any chance she can get. She is potty trained, but does need training on the leash and with some basic commands. She is good with all dogs and kids. She has just been introduced to cats (less than 1 week ago) and is very curious about them, but has yet to show any aggression. She does take a submissive approach when meeting new dogs, so our inclination is that she'll take to cats given a slow intro. Every person who meets her comments on her great disposition. When not playing, she just wants to be a puddle in your lap.

Story
You know that dog everyone instantly falls in love with? That's Sunny! Sunny is a 6-year-old, 55 lb Husky/German Shepherd mix (who looks a bit like a Coyote!) She was originally adopted from the euthanasia list at the Bakersfield City Shelter. After years in a loving, stable home, her current owner now needs to find her a new home due to changes in their living situation. Sunny has a really sweet, loving personality. She’s the kind of dog who greets new people like they’ve always been friends. She is soft, friendly, and genuinely happy to be included. Sunny enjoys walks, toys, treats, and especially just being near her people. If you sit down, she’s likely to come over and lean in for attention or quietly settle beside you. She’s social and confident but not pushy either. Sunny gets along well with other dogs and has done well around cats too. She actually tends to help shy dogs come out of their shell feel more comfortable just by being herself. She’s good on leash, enjoys exploring, fetch, and has that classic Husky and Shepherd curiosity without being overly intense. She is still learning a few basics like indoor manners and potty training since she’s been used to living outdoors, but she’s food motivated and can be willing to learn. While she isn’t an escape artist, she is athletic and can clear a shorter fence if something catches her interest, so a secure yard is important to keep her safe. What stands out most about Sunny is how steady she feels. She’s friendly, resilient, and genuinely wants to be part of a home. Not a complicated dog, just one who wants love, routine, and people to belong to. Fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Sunny is looking for her forever home! ---- Looking to Adopt?
