Story
Wonderful dog we have owned for two years. He was litter mates with another dog we have. Absolutely loves playing with our daughter (4, now 6). But we have a baby and he has not been fond of him. Has been getting territorial and toy/food aggressive. He spent 6 weeks at Paws for Life training, and is potty/crate trained. Is pretty good on a leash, does not chase dogs while walking. But definitely likes to run. Hoping to give him to a home rather than the pound, but we have to send him away one way or another.

Nelson

Husky Australian Cattle Dog

Male, Adult
Simi Valley, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nelson is a big, cuddly goofball with a love for pillows and soft surfaces. He has a long standing vendetta against squirrels but will never be able to catch one. He has been a great addition to our home and family over the last six years. He is trained for basic tricks, housebroken, and knows "on your spot." He is also muzzle trained and crate trained. However, we have made the heartbreaking decision to re-home him because we had a baby and he is not thriving with her. She fell on him and he bit her in the face, and has snipped at her before. He is also leash reactive but good with other dogs in an off leash environment. Nelson needs an experienced owner who can read his body language and give him the love and respect he needs.
