Story
#A5731279 Meet Blu, a 5-year-old Siberian Husky with movie-star charm and a sweet grin that’ll melt your heart! His stunning salt-and-pepper coat, perky ears, and soulful whiskey-colored eyes make him truly unforgettable. Bright, bouncy, and full of that classic husky energy, Blu is happiest when he’s included in the fun - whether it’s a long walk, a hike, or just hanging out with his favorite humans. He’ll need a secure yard (he’s got a bit of that escape-artist spirit!) and a family that keeps him active and engaged. Curious and playful with other dogs, Blu could also make a great pet sibling with proper intros. When he’s done adventuring, this cuddly sweetheart loves giving hugs and kisses - on his own sweet, husky terms. Will you take home this darling boy today? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143     -5 year old black and white Siberian Husky -40 pound neutered male - on the petite side for his breed! -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/6/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Blu is a big lover boy -stunning salt and pepper coat, precious perky ears, soulful whiskey colored eyes, and a super charming grin that will definitely win you over!  -classic husky energy and personality - bright, bouncy, and full of enthusiasm - so would do best with daily exercise, attention, and activity -not suited for leaving alone in the yard for long periods of time - Blu deserves to be a loved and included member of the family, especially given his potential escape artist antics (he'll need a secure fence with proper gates) -could make a good pet sibling with the right introductions - was curious and playful with other dogs in the adjacent yards -cuddly sweetheart that loves to give hugs *and* kisses, who will seek out affection on his own terms, when he wants to (which makes it such a treat!)   https://youtube.com/shorts/L97Q1qVsjqs For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
#A5732360 Carmelito is a 2-year-old, 62 lb neutered male Siberian Husky with a stunning white and red coat and striking blue eyes. Found as a stray alongside a female white Husky, Carmelito is a gorgeous, fluffy boy with an adventurous spirit. True to his breed, he’s energetic, curious, and happiest when he’s active and exploring. He pulls a bit on leash but is eager to follow along and will improve quickly with regular walks and consistency. His ears show signs of fly strike, suggesting he may have spent too much time outdoors, but he’s resilient, affectionate, and ready for a life filled with care and companionship. Carmelito would thrive with an adopter who loves adventure and has the time to give him the exercise and enrichment he deserves. -2 years old, neutered male, 62 lbs -Siberian Husky, white and red coat -Found as a stray with a female white Husky -Beautiful blue eyes and super floofy coat -Energetic and adventurous; needs regular exercise -Pulls on leash; will improve with practice -Friendly and curious; enjoys outdoor activity -Signs of fly strike on ears; likely spent too much time outside -Ideal for an active adopter who loves hikes and adventure CARMELITO’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/bUI2sOtsugk For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
#A5729848 Claire is a petite and demure female Siberian Husky with bright blue eyes and a pretty black and white coat. In the shelter she is shy and timid, but we think she will show typical husky enthusiasm for exploring the neighborhood once she feels safe in a home. With a little time to relax and build a relationship, Claire will enjoy having a special person to go for walks and spend time with.     -Easy on leash, she will be a fantastic walking buddy -About 2 years and 30 pounds, she is a little too thin and will look and feel her best with a few more pounds on her frame -Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on September 30 -Was tolerant of other dogs in her assessment, but she didn’t show much interest in playing with them. Calm dogs are probably the best companions for her. -Spayed and ready to go home!   https://youtube.com/shorts/dnLbMITnG0Q For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
A5670983 Xena is a 1-year, 5-month-old spayed female Siberian Husky with a striking brindle coat and kind, soulful eyes. Surrendered by her owner on October 18, 2025, she’s a sweet, attentive girl who bonds quickly once she feels safe. Xena walks well on leash, knows ‘sit’ and responds to gentle correction, and is treat-motivated and eager to please. She’s calm and polite around other dogs, though she isn’t playful yet, preferring quiet companionship. Slightly timid at first, but becomes very friendly as she thrives with patience and a gentle hand. Xena has a healing abrasion on her right cheek and some dental tartar, so she’ll go home on a health waiver for follow-up vet care. She’s truly a gentle soul and ready to bond with her person in a loving home. -1 year, 5 months old, spayed female, 50 lbs -Siberian Husky, brindle coat -Owner surrender on 10/18/2025 -Sweet, timid, and very affectionate once she opens up -Treat-motivated and easy on leash -Calm around dogs; prefers quiet company -Healing cheek wound; adoptable on health waiver -A gentle, loyal Husky looking for patience and love     XENA’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/uRhfdhQEM For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org Photo Credit @ Stevehymon   Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
