Willow is a puppy that my father took in for a previous owner who was unable to care for her. My father passed away unexpectedly at the end of November and we have been caring for Willow since then. She is a sweet dog who loves to cuddle and wants to have all of your attention. She is a young dog who is house trained and knows all the basic commands and is able to listen well.

Story
We adopted Trajan when he was 8 weeks old. He just turned 3 . We are moving to a rental home and are unable to take Trajan. Trajan loves to run and go on walks. He loves to play tug o war, fetch and catch frisbees . He is content to lie under my desk when I work from home. I can trust him not to get into trouble when I leave him in the house when I run out for errands

Story
Smokey has been in my care for a year now. I took him in from a friend who was unable to care for him. He wasn't meant to be a permanent arrangement but he was too lovable for me to rehome without finding the perfect fit. He is almost two years old. I am looking for a home with plenty of space for him since he is high energy and also deserves a big fenced-in backyard. I would love for him to have other dogs that can become his brothers or sisters. He does get very excited and doesn't know his own size and strength at times, so he sometimes plays rough. I want a home that has time for him and where he won't be in a crate or by himself for the majority of his days and gets adequate daily exercise. I want his next home to be his forever home, so my biggest concern is stability and adequate time/love for him. He is a sweetheart and just needs someone who understands his needs and you will have a new best friend.

Story
Star is fostered in CA. Star is great with dogs, but having energy can play excitedly and may not be a fit for puppies or elderly dogs. Star is a gorgeous girl with brains and energy to match! She might be blind, but that doesn’t slow her down at all. She navigates just fine and all the important things (food, sniffy walks, petting) don’t require sight. Star also had a couple of seizures, which the vet is calling idiopathic epilepsy since no other cause was found in testing, so she takes Keppra and that has prevented any more episodes. She has already learned a lot of words, including: focus, sit, step, and walking. Given her puppy energy level, she would love to be in a home with another dog her size or bigger and no small children or cats. Star *loves* meeting new people and dogs, exploring her environment, eating, walking, and snoozing in her crate or in the car. She is still learning to be the best dog, but she is a quick study. She needs a family experienced with Huskies or similar breeds who are willing to continue her education. If you are active and ready for an energetic beauty, contact us to learn more about Star! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Kato is a kind, yet dominant and physically strong dog. He needs an adult only home with an owner who has Husky/alpha breed experience.Kato is a happy dog who loves to chew on bones! He enjoys spending time with his humans.  He loves to go on long walks. Kato loves running around and knows several commands such as sit and touch. He is a spunky boy who loves to play and be the center of attention. He is a working dog who would love a job of some kind. Kato does needs to be the only dog in the home because he is selective about the dogs he is around. Siberian Huskies are not a breed for 1st time dog owners.  They need a family who are experienced with Huskies and can maintain an alpha and kind position in the home. His new home requires a fenced-in backyard to run and play like a Husky should.Kato was a previous PRBJ dog who was returned after his owners stated they did not want him.  Kato was severely neglected coming in with all of his fur matted and dirty and unable to walk much due to the pulling of his fur.  The only thing we could do was take him in to have his fur completely shaved off.  In his pictures you can see how he looked when he was adopted out a few years ago with his full beautiful coat, then how he came in full of mats and then his new summer coat.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 8:17 pm
