Hi, I’m Karmy, a 7-year-old red and white beauty with the cutest floppy ear you’ve ever seen! Life didn’t start out easy for me, but wow, things are looking up. I’m learning all about being a “house dog,” and let me tell you, couches are amazing (especially for my silly couch zoomies). I’m making great progress with potty training (I’ve got my schedule down!) and crates aren’t so scary anymore—I even eat my meals in mine like a pro. I’ll admit, I’m still working on longer stays, but I’m very food motivated, so training feels like snack time to me. On walks, I’m a total dream—unless, of course, I catch the scent of a critter, then I get a little excited. My vision isn’t the best, so sometimes I bump into things or need a little guidance, but a kind voice and gentle hand help me shine. Personality-wise? I’m a calm, quiet girl who saves her energy for cuddles, massages, and belly rubs (the good stuff). I’m not a barker or a woo-wooer, but who knows—maybe once I’m fully settled, I’ll surprise you with a little Husky song. I’m still figuring out this whole “play with other dogs” thing and haven’t met kids yet, but I’m open to learning with the right introductions. The truth is, what I really want is to be close to my people. If you sit on the couch, don’t be surprised if I climb right into your lap—I’m basically a pro snuggler. I may have had a tough past, but today I’m full of love, hope, and sweetness. I’m ready to find my forever family—the one who will see past my challenges and see the amazing heart I have to give.

I’m doing awesome with potty training (only one accident on my first day!), and I’m very food and toy motivated. I love to play—especially bitey face—but I’m also a sweet, submissive boy. I go into my crate willingly and might protest for a few minutes, but I always settle down. I’m learning how to be calm while you work (I’m great at napping on a cot!), and I’m slowly figuring out the world around me—even scary things like… garbage bags. Hey there! I’m Lulu, a sweet, affectionate Siberian Husky mix, about 3 years old—and I’m basically a professional cuddler. If you sit down, chances are I’ll be right there too, resting my head in your lap and soaking up all the love. I’m incredibly gentle, calm, and just happy to be near my people. Despite my husky roots, I’m not much of a howler. Instead, I like to keep watch over my home and will bark to let you know if someone’s arrived (mail carriers beware!). I take my job as household protector seriously, but once everything’s accounted for, I’m right back to lounging and cuddling. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and am very socially savvy—I’ll happily initiate play when another dog is up for it, but I’m just as content to relax and give them space if they’re not in the mood. I’d do great in a home with another dog or as a beloved solo pup. I’m also a very polite housemate. I let my humans know when I need to go outside, and I’ve never had an accident indoors. I really try my best to be a good girl. One of my absolute favorite things in the world? Walks! The moment I see my leash, I do an adorable little happy dance. I’m never more joyful than when I’m out exploring with my people, sniffing everything and taking in the world. I walk well on a leash, though I might pull a bit if a squirrel or bunny crosses my path—I do have a strong prey drive and would probably do best in a cat-free home. Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala FL. Kristoff is a very unique dog and such a juxtaposition! He hates car rides, but loves walks. He is the happiest, sweetest, tail-wagging floof, but is a tough as nails street dog at his core. He is a happy go lucky, friendly guy on one hand, but if he gets contained, he is absolutely frantic to break free. He loves to be with the other dogs, but will be reactive and quickly defensive if startled. His face is greying, but his energy and enthusiasm are still puppy-like with no signs of slowing down (except for some occasional signs of doggy dementia.) He does not tolerate his front paws being touched, but does allow the vet tech to trim his nails, though reluctantly. Surprisingly, he really enjoys being brushed, but no noisy trimmers which makes grooming tricky. Kris’s health is good and he is doing well on that front. He has lost a significant amount of weight and leveled off now, so he is much healthier. He thrives on routine and verbal cues, which he learns easily with repetition. Kristoff is full of contradictions and challenges which will require a special experienced adopter, a lot of patience, work and communication. Although he loves to be with a pack, it is probably easier to acclimate him in a home without any other pets, but older children are ok. Kris would prefer a home with his human home much of the time. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
