Wrangler is being fostered in PA.Wrangler has some limited vision.Wrangler here with an update on me, foster Mommy said I had to do it since they did some new tests on me. First, I am a big boy at almost 1.5 years old now! Anyway, I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBD) which they are treating with low fat food and watching my diet. Also, my B12 is low so foster Mommy gives me a shot every 3 weeks. I do great with the shot, she gives it while I am eating and I could care less cause I just want my food lolAlso, something that goes with the IBD thingy is anxiety and I try, but am scared of new things. I like to go slow meeting new ones. I can’t tell my foster Mommy why, but I’m scared of men. We are working on all this. I am great at home and I don’t do anything in the house when foster Mommy leaves because I have other doggies I am with. So as long as I am not alone, I am ok.We are trying Prozac to see if this will help relax me enough to get over my fears because I am a sweetie, really! And, I just love cuddling on the couch with foster Mommy and sleeping in bed with her. Even though I can stretch out and take up leg room at times hee heeBDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

My name is Handsome. Yes, that’s really my name… and once you meet me, you’ll agree it fits perfectly. I’m two years old, about 45 pounds, with a stunning black-and-white coat and the brightest blue eyes you’ve ever seen. My face has those classic Husky markings that make people stop and stare — bold, striking, unforgettable. And just when you think that’s impressive enough, the sunlight hits my coat and you’ll notice a beautiful red tint woven through my fur. I like to keep things interesting. I may look like I’ve got it all figured out, but I’m still a young guy learning the basics. I’m working on commands like sit, improving my crate training (sometimes I cry at first — I just really love being near my people), and continuing to master potty training. I’m smart and eager to please. With patience and consistency, I’ll thrive. I love a good chew bone. I love playing with my foster brothers — I lead with my front paws, get vocal, and flash my teeth in true Husky fashion, but it’s all drama and zero aggression. I walk well on a leash, though I have yet to meet a squirrel I can ignore… so cats probably aren’t my best match. And when playtime is over? I’m all about the snuggles. I lean into my humans like I’ve always belonged there. I’m young. I’m affectionate. I’m full of personality. With your love, structure, and maybe some formal training, I won’t just be a good dog — I’ll be your best friend. I’m Handsome. And I’m ready to live up to my name in your home.

Story
Hi, I’m Jeffrey! I'm a 9-year-old playful & loving Siberian Husky. I have a beautiful cinnamon coat and the coolest eyes you’ll ever see — one of them is half blue and half amber! I’m housebroken and crate trained, and I actually love my crate. It’s my safe space where I go to relax and unwind. I absolutely love walks and going for runs. I might pull a little at first because I get so excited, but once I settle down, I walk like a very good boy. I’d be happiest with a family that enjoys adventures because I also love car rides and going anywhere my people go. I’m great with other dogs! I love to play and zoom around the backyard with my foster brother Theo. I’m especially obsessed with my ball — I’ll even play with it all by myself. I was a little too friendly at first (oops), but that didn’t last long. I love getting pets from kids we meet on walks. I’m not sure how I feel about cats, but since I do like chasing squirrels, a home without cats might be best for me. I’m playful, I love to sing (and I’m not shy about it!), and I have a pretty great husky voice. If I want a walk or a snack, you’ll definitely know. I’m also smart and curious. I know my commands — sit, lay down, shake, and out — and I catch on quickly. I do like to “inspect” cupboards, drawers, and even the trash can sometimes, but I’m not destructive… just curious! Sometimes in the evenings I get a little restless. When I start pacing, it usually means I’m looking for my comfy spot. My crate helps me feel calm and safe, and I fall asleep easily once I’m in there. More than anything, I am loving. My favorite place in the whole world is right next to my humans. I love couch snuggles, resting my head on your lap or chest, sitting by your feet while you work, and even gently plopping myself on you if you’re laying down. I just want to be close to you. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate boy who will go on adventures with you and then cuddle up at the end of the day… I’m your guy.

Story
Hi, I’m Karmy, a 7-year-old red and white beauty with the cutest floppy ear you’ve ever seen! Life didn’t start out easy for me, but wow, things are looking up. I’m learning all about being a “house dog,” and let me tell you, couches are amazing (especially for my silly couch zoomies). I’m making great progress with potty training (I’ve got my schedule down!) and crates aren’t so scary anymore—I even eat my meals in mine like a pro. I’ll admit, I’m still working on longer stays, but I’m very food motivated, so training feels like snack time to me. On walks, I’m a total dream—unless, of course, I catch the scent of a critter, then I get a little excited. My vision isn’t the best, so sometimes I bump into things or need a little guidance, but a kind voice and gentle hand help me shine. Personality-wise? I’m a calm, quiet girl who saves her energy for cuddles, massages, and belly rubs (the good stuff). I’m not a barker or a woo-wooer, but who knows—maybe once I’m fully settled, I’ll surprise you with a little Husky song. I’m still figuring out this whole “play with other dogs” thing and haven’t met kids yet, but I’m open to learning with the right introductions. The truth is, what I really want is to be close to my people. If you sit on the couch, don’t be surprised if I climb right into your lap—I’m basically a pro snuggler. I may have had a tough past, but today I’m full of love, hope, and sweetness. I’m ready to find my forever family—the one who will see past my challenges and see the amazing heart I have to give.

Story
Hi there! I’m Pickles. I’m a 5-month-old Husky/Australian Shepherd mix, and let me tell you—I’ve grown into the perfect mix of fluff, fun, and a little bit of mischief! I’ve got those bright, curious eyes and a playful spirit that keeps everyone smiling. I LOVE to explore, play with toys, and soak up all the cuddles I can get. I’m super smart (hello, Husky/Aussie brain!), which means I’m already learning and would thrive with someone who can keep me mentally and physically active. I’m the kind of pup who will be your adventure buddy by day and your snuggle bug by night. I’m still a puppy, so I’ll need patience, training, and lots of love—but I promise I’m 100% worth it. If you’re ready for zoomies, laughter, and unconditional love, I might just be your perfect match! Story
Hi, I’m Buddy — a sweet, gentle senior Husky with a soft soul and an even softer heart. I’m 9 years old, and while I mostly enjoy the simple things in life like relaxing near my people, cozy naps, and quiet companionship, I still have little bursts of playful energy every day that remind everyone I’ve still got some pep in my step. I can be a little shy and timid when we first meet, but once I feel safe and comfortable, I turn into the most loving, loyal boy. My foster says I’m incredibly well behaved, super smart, and truly one of the easiest dogs to have around. I’m housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs, cats, and kids, and I’m not destructive when left out. When I need to go outside, I’ll politely sit by the door and let you know with a bark like the gentleman I am. I would really love a home with another dog. I was previously fostered as an only dog, and my foster noticed I seemed a little sad without a furry friend around. Having a companion helps me feel more comfortable, happy, and confident. On walks, I do pretty well on a leash, though I may pull a little sometimes because I still enjoy getting out and exploring the world around me. But overall, I’m a very chill, easygoing boy who simply wants love, companionship, and a family to call my own. If you’re looking for a calm, loving, well-mannered Husky who will quietly steal your heart, I may be the perfect match for you.

Hi… I’m Tyra! I may be small now, but I’ve got a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m a Siberian Husky mix (we think maybe a little Pomeranian too!), which means I’m the perfect mix of cute, smart, playful, and just a little bit sassy. I love to explore, play, and then crash for the best snuggles. One minute I’m zooming around like a tiny adventurer, and the next I’m curled up right next to you, soaking up all the love. I’m super curious about the world and learning new things every day—those husky smarts keep me on my toes! I’m looking for a home that will give me patience, guidance, and lots of love as I grow. I promise to bring laughter, cuddles, and a little bit of adorable mischief into your life. I may be small… but I’m ready to fill your home with so much love! Story
Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala FL. Kristoff is a very unique dog and such a juxtaposition! He hates car rides, but loves walks. He is the happiest, sweetest, tail-wagging floof, but is a tough as nails street dog at his core. He is a happy go lucky, friendly guy on one hand, but if he gets contained, he is absolutely frantic to break free. He loves to be with the other dogs, but will be reactive and quickly defensive if startled. His face is greying, but his energy and enthusiasm are still puppy-like with no signs of slowing down (except for some occasional signs of doggy dementia.) He does not tolerate his front paws being touched, but does allow the vet tech to trim his nails, though reluctantly. Surprisingly, he really enjoys being brushed, but no noisy trimmers which makes grooming tricky. Kris’s health is good and he is doing well on that front. He has lost a significant amount of weight and leveled off now, so he is much healthier. He thrives on routine and verbal cues, which he learns easily with repetition. Kristoff is full of contradictions and challenges which will require a special experienced adopter, a lot of patience, work and communication. Although he loves to be with a pack, it is probably easier to acclimate him in a home without any other pets, but older children are ok. Kris would prefer a home with his human home much of the time. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
