Hi there, I'm Laelle, a two-an-a half year old black and white blue eyed Siberian Husky with a heart full of hope and a spirit that never gives up. I may be a smaller husky at 45 pounds, but my personality is as big as they come! Before Husky Haven of Florida rescued me, I was lost and scared of people and other dogs. I used to have frequent seizures, but thanks to medical care, my seizures are now manageable. I used to feel bad for my foster because I wasn't potty trained and had lots of accidents. But now, I've learned to give signs when I need to go outside. I'm not a big fan of crates, but I absolutely love my cot because it keeps me cool and I can walk off when I get anxious. It took a few months until I learned my name, but now I come to you when you call me. I know it's going to take a special family to accept and love me, but I'm very hopeful. I am on medication to control my seizures and it’s working. Since my seizures have reduced, I've been able to do more normal dog behaviors like counter surfing (oops!). I'm good with everyone, but I haven't met any cats yet, so I'm not sure how I would be with them. I pace frequently, which makes me expel a lot of energy and that makes me hungry, so I love to eat. A My foster family is so proud of me because I've come a long way from being blank, not knowing anything, to now socializing with people and other dogs. It may take a while until the right family finds me, but I know that you're out there. I'm spayed, up to date on all my vaccines, and microchipped. Hi, I’m Maya, a petite, 3-year-old, 43-pound Husky with beautiful brown eyes and a heart full of love. I may be small, but I’ve got enough energy and affection to light up your whole world! If I had it my way, I’d climb right into your lap and stay there, giving you all the kisses and cuddles you could ever want. I’m a total love bug who follows my person everywhere. I do get a little anxious when I can’t see you — I just love being close. I’ll go into my crate and settle down fine, but it’s definitely not my favorite place. I’d much rather be running around the yard with you or soaking up some sunshine by your side. I haven’t quite figured out toys yet, but I love to go on walks! I get excited and might pull a bit, but I’m working on my leash manners. I also sometimes get distracted outside and forget to finish my business, so I’ve had the occasional accident, but I’m trying my best and learning every day! I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t depend on them, so I’d do well as your one-and-only or as part of a pack. I’m curious about small animals (especially ducks!), so a home without cats would be best for me. I already know how to sit, and I’m eager to learn more, especially if you’ve got treats! I’m smart, sweet, and ready to be your loyal companion. Right now, I’m still a little unsure if my people are going to disappear, but with love and reassurance, I know I’ll blossom into the perfect family dog. Hi! I’m Bob. Full-time goofball, part-time cuddle expert, and a Husky with one amazing comeback story. I’m a 3-year-old black and white Siberian Husky with striking blue eyes and a personality to match. My life almost took a very different turn when I landed at Miami-Dade Animal Shelter and got sick with an upper respiratory infection. Things became really scary, and I was even scheduled for euthanasia. But thanks to some incredible humans who believed in me, a foster stepped up and gave me the second chance I so desperately needed. Now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to start my next chapter. I’m housebroken, although I’ll admit that when I get really excited, I’ve had a couple of little accidents—sometimes my joy just overflows. I’m also crate trained and actually love my crate. I might protest for a moment, but once I’m inside, I relax right away. I get so comfortable that my humans sometimes have to convince me to come out, and I tend to sleep in the funniest positions you’ve ever seen. I’m a high-energy, playful guy who loves to jump around and have fun. Because of that, I might be better suited for a home with older kids, since I like to nibble during play and can get a little bouncy. I do great with other dogs and haven’t shown any aggression, though I do get very excited when I see them and could use some help learning to stay calm. I walk pretty well on a leash and am still improving every day. My best traits? I’m playful, super smart, and a quick learner. I absolutely love to cuddle and I’m very gentle when taking treats from your hand. Once I get to know you, I’ll happily follow you everywhere—bathroom breaks included. I’m incredibly sweet, gentle, and devoted, and I make a wonderful companion. Life with me is never boring, and I promise to keep you smiling. I’m still working on jumping, playful nibbling, and managing my excitement around other dogs, but with patience and love, I know I’ll continue to grow. I’ve already fought hard for my second chance—now all I need is a forever home and someone to share my big Husky heart with.

Hi, I’m Karmy, a 7-year-old red and white beauty with the cutest floppy ear you’ve ever seen! Life didn’t start out easy for me, but wow, things are looking up. I’m learning all about being a “house dog,” and let me tell you, couches are amazing (especially for my silly couch zoomies). I’m making great progress with potty training (I’ve got my schedule down!) and crates aren’t so scary anymore—I even eat my meals in mine like a pro. I’ll admit, I’m still working on longer stays, but I’m very food motivated, so training feels like snack time to me. On walks, I’m a total dream—unless, of course, I catch the scent of a critter, then I get a little excited. My vision isn’t the best, so sometimes I bump into things or need a little guidance, but a kind voice and gentle hand help me shine. Personality-wise? I’m a calm, quiet girl who saves her energy for cuddles, massages, and belly rubs (the good stuff). I’m not a barker or a woo-wooer, but who knows—maybe once I’m fully settled, I’ll surprise you with a little Husky song. Kristoff is being fostered in Ocala FL. Kristoff is a very unique dog and such a juxtaposition! He hates car rides, but loves walks. He is the happiest, sweetest, tail-wagging floof, but is a tough as nails street dog at his core. He is a happy go lucky, friendly guy on one hand, but if he gets contained, he is absolutely frantic to break free. He loves to be with the other dogs, but will be reactive and quickly defensive if startled. His face is greying, but his energy and enthusiasm are still puppy-like with no signs of slowing down (except for some occasional signs of doggy dementia.) He does not tolerate his front paws being touched, but does allow the vet tech to trim his nails, though reluctantly. Surprisingly, he really enjoys being brushed, but no noisy trimmers which makes grooming tricky. Kris’s health is good and he is doing well on that front. He has lost a significant amount of weight and leveled off now, so he is much healthier. He thrives on routine and verbal cues, which he learns easily with repetition. Kristoff is full of contradictions and challenges which will require a special experienced adopter, a lot of patience, work and communication. Although he loves to be with a pack, it is probably easier to acclimate him in a home without any other pets, but older children are ok. Kris would prefer a home with his human home much of the time. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
