Her tail never stops wagging. She’s good with kids, cats, and other dogs (big or small) She walks good on a leash with a harness. Not a wanderer, she will stay right with you outside and comes immediately when her name is called. Potty and crate trained she never has accidents. Great in the car and loves car rides. She does get overly excited and will jump when new people walk in the door a squirt bottle works wonders. Penny is a really good dog she would do well with a family or someone who is active. We are moving across the country for work and just don’t have the time for her. Crate, leash, harness, bowls, bag of food included. Prefer meet and greet to see if she is a good fit! Willing to drive to meet you. We really want her to go to a good home.

Aria!! 6 year old Pit/Husky Mix. 60-70 lbs.Aria is a sweet, happy girl with a remarkable pitty personality. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once she knows you can be trusted, she is your shadow. You will have a best friend for life. She loves to cuddle and be near her people. She will roll over for belly rubs, or just sit between your legs and melt into you. Aria is a playful girl and loves to play with toys, chase balls and chew on chew toys. She enjoys talking long walks and playing fetch. If you're not available to throw a ball or toy for her, she'll toss it herself. Aria has been a part of our foster program for the past few years. During her time in foster care, she has been surrounded by love and affection, which has led to a slight weight gain. We have been working on helping her achieve a healthier weight, and although she still has a liitle ways to go, we have been enjoying our time with her. We have been spending our days playing ball in the yard, going on walks in the park, and lounging in the office. Aria is now approximately six years old and has been in rescue for about three years. Initially, she arrived with puppies, who have since found their forever homes. Aria is a shy girl around new people but forms deep bonds with those she knows. She has lived in homes with other dogs but is particular about her canine companions. Aria would do best in a home with few visitors. She is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands. However, she is not a fan of crate training. Currently, Aria is residing at the Wiggle Butt Ranch, where she spends her days in the office, as she cannot be trusted around the resident cats. We are seeking a new foster or, ideally, a forever home for Aria. Despite being in rescue for three years, she has received very little interest. Knox is one handsome hunk! His owner could no longer take care of him and he arrived to the shelter on 6/13. Knox is 2 years old and weighs in at 70 pounds. He is stunning and those eyes will melt your heart. He knows to sit, stay and down when asked. He is a sweetheart with lots of energy. He would make a great running buddy. His favorite time is play time. It is reported that he is good with children, dogs and cats. Wouldn't you like to wake up to that smile every morning? Ask for ID# 18511 Run 810. He is neutered and micro-chipped. He has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
