Story
Artemis was adopted a few months ago from the pound. She's an extremely energetic dog. I simply do not have the time to give her properly. She also needs training, she likes to jump up on people and chew and play. I have a disabled mother and she will not learn to not jump on her and play with her, leading to the need to re-homed her. She's been to the vet and had all her medical issues from the pound delt with including kennel cough. She really need a home suited to her. Mine can just not accommodate I am sorry to say.

Story
Name: Wilbert Age: 4 Years Breed: Husky Cattle Dog Mix Gender: Male Meet Wilbert! Wilbert is a loyal, loving, and intelligent 4-year-old Husky Cattle Dog mix looking for his forever home! Wilbert came to HPF from a local county shelter the day before his set euthanasia. He came to us emaciated, terrified and with a horrific skin infection that had savaged almost all of his fur.  Wilbert developed a respiratory infection and GI bleed that required ICU treatment and it was touch and go...BUT he wasn't ready to give up because for the first time...he knew what it was like to be loved!! ‍ Wilbert fought his way back and is now healthy and so happy! This baby-boy is packed with personality—he’s playful like a puppy however knows/and prefers to chill and relax. In fact, chilling like a cucumber is his favorite past time. ♥ Affectionate & Loyal Wilbert adores his personal people and wants to be by your side as much as possible. He’s not the kind of dog who enjoys being left outside—he’s happiest INSIDE, snuggled up with his person. His heart is huge, he’s always ready to give love. If you're a looking for a dog to take to the dog park Wilbert is not your fellow because he really prefers hanging out inside relaxing and chilling. When Wilbert came into HPF it appeared he had been living on the street and so it just makes sense that he enjoys the easy life and and air conditioning! ‍   Smart & Eager to Learn Wilbert is incredibly intelligent! He already knows no, sit, easy (when taking favite kibble), paw, working on down and stay...and would thrive with additional training. To help him succeed, a volunteer is even offering to cover the introductory cost of training with Frankie from canine counseling! Playful but Well-Mannered Wilbert LOVES toys (so much that he needs indestructible bully toys )!  He’s playful and has a puppy playfulness when he gets overly excited that might be too much for kiddos.  Wilbert does love to play and has an extreme joy that overflows with excitement BUT his favorite pastime is just relaxing and hanging out. He loves to hang out while you work or binge watch your favorite show!   Cat Compatibility Wilbert wants to love cats but is a bit too eager at times and so a cat free home would be best.  Great with People & Well-Behaved Wilbert enjoys meeting new people but prefers grown ups. ♥  He’s crate-trained ...walks outside to potty and trots right back inside where he can be snug as a bug!  Wilbert is an amazing work at home companion. He'll sit quietly all day next to you while you work!   Wilbert absolutely loves car rides and is always-always up for a joyride!   Smart   Loyal Loving ♥ ‍ Needs Supervision Outside Wilbert has a habit of trying to eat everything on walks, possibly from past food insecurity. He’ll need monitoring outside to keep him from gobbling things up. BUT has improved so much now that his tummy is full and happy.  Looking for His Perfect Home Wilbert would thrive in a loving home where he can be inside with his people, showered with affection, and given fun playtime and training. He’s an amazing, smart, and affectionate dog who just needs the right match!  Wilbert may require medication for his itchy skin forever but he always takes his medication like a champ! Wilbert also has a sensitive tummy so at this time requires a special diet that he thinks is yummy!   If Wilbert sounds like the perfect companion for you, come meet him! He’s ready to give his heart to a forever family. ##2304648##

Story
3 year old Pit/Husky Mix. 60-70 lbs.Aria is a sweet, happy girl with a remarkable pitty personailty. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once she knows you can be trusted, she is your shadow. You will have a best friend for life. She loves to cuddle and be near her people. She will roll over for belly rubs, or just sit between your legs and melt into you. Aria is a playful girl and loves to play with toys, chase balls and chew on chew toys. She enjoys talking long walks and playing fetch. If you're not available to throw a ball or toy for her, she'll toss it herself.Aria walks well on-leash, is crate trained and potty trained, however if she could choose, she would rather not have to spend time in her crate, she would choose to be out with her people.Aria is good with most dogs, but too interested in the cats in her foster home. She would do best in a home without cats.Adoption fee $300.
