IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET QUINN: Quinn is a charming 4-month-old Husky with beautiful blue eyes. Unfortunately, Quinn's previous owner had to surrender her, which is why she is now in need of a loving furever home.  One of the positives about Quinn is that she has a good understanding of using a crate and  house training. She is still in the process of learning to walk on a leash but is making progress. Loves to play with toys. Since Huskies are known for their energy and need for exercise, a home with an active family would be ideal for Quinn. She will thrive in an environment where she can run, play, and engage in various activities. A fenced yard would be preferred, as it would give Quinn the space she need to explore and burn off her energy. Considering the specific needs of Quinn, we request that potential adopters refrain from considering apartments, condos, or mobile homes. Huskies require ample space and opportunities for exercise, which may not be feasible in such environments. It's important to note that due to their breed characteristics, Quinn has a prey drive and cannot be housed with small animals such as cats, rabbits, or small dogs.  In terms of their future, Quinn would benefit greatly from continued training to help her become the best version of herself. Positive reinforcement methods and consistency will be key to her success.  Quinn will require regular grooming. If you are a dedicated and active family looking for a furry companion to join in your adventures, Quinn may be the perfect fit for you. With a little training and lots of love, this blue-eyed Husky will make a wonderful addition to your family. Scheduled for spay surgery at one of our partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee). Quinn is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for spay surgery at one of our partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee).ADOPTION FEE: $375 FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. ##2064114##

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! Story
Snow is such a handsome boy! He is estimated to be about 18 months old and weighs 40 pounds. What an outgoing, playful, fun-spirited pup Snow is, so silly! He is also very connecting and just craves closeness, which is very nice with his soft, fluffy coat. He knows a solid sit too and is super attentive to you, he seems highly trainable. Snow also likes to give out plenty of kisses to make you feel loved. He is the perfect size, not too small, not too big, just right! Really what comes to mind with Snow is a sweet goofball! Oh, and he has the cutest feathery curled tail! Snow does have some mild food bowl guarding, but he is catching on quickly to trading up and is very responsive to verbal correction. His new family will need to continue to work on this with him. Snow needs a leader to set rules and boundaries for him. He also needs an experienced adopter who understands the mental and physical needs of the breed. An active home with a fenced in yard with room to run is a must for him as well. Snow needs an adult only home. If you are interested in Snow and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
