Meet Socks! Breed: Husky/Pitbull Mix: 1 year oldGood with Dogs: Yes, with high-energy playmatesGood with Cats: NoSocks is ready to trot his way into your heart — white paws first! This stunning husky/pitbull mix is as spirited as he is sweet. With his sleek black coat, charmingly mismatched white feet (that earned him his name), and warm, expressive brown eyes, Socks turns heads wherever he goes.At around one year old, Socks is full of young-dog energy and curiosity. He thrives on movement, adventure, and mental enrichment — just opening the back door to a yard won’t cut it for this active boy. Like many huskies, he needs daily structured exercise (long walks, runs, hikes, or interactive play) and plenty of mental stimulation (think puzzle toys, training sessions, and new experiences).Socks plays well with other dogs who share his enthusiasm and can match his energy level. He`s best suited to a dog-savvy home ready to embrace a dynamic, intelligent companion. Unfortunately, Socks cannot live with cats due to his prey drive.Currently, Socks is in a foster-to-adopt placement while awaiting neuter, but he’s more than ready to start bonding with his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic adventure buddy who will keep you moving, learning, and laughing, Socks is your guy.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $75

Story
Loving purebred Husky. Purchased him from a breeder as a puppy almost 10 years ago. Would love for him to go to a home with kids as he still have a lot of energy and love to give. He do not do well with other dogs but is okay with cats. Have been professionally trained at sit means sit. I really just want him to go to a good home with a nice backyard where he can live out the rest of his days.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lupin is a lovely pup with a lot of energy. He loves to run around the yard and loves going camping. He is good with adults and older children (10 and up) but not so much with younger kids. Lupin gets along with other dogs but only for a short period of time until he kicks into alpha mode and starts to push them around. He absolutely cannot be around cats. We love Lupin to death and wish we could keep him but we have been trying to acclimate him to our 2 year old son for the last 2 years and it just isn't working. It is in the best interest of ourselves and Lupin that we find him a forever home where he doesn't have to be separated from his family and can live freely amongst them. Please Contact Lupin's owner directly with the contact information below. Owner will be asking for a home visit meet and greet as well as rehoming fee. thekochuts@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Story
Meet Noodles (a.k.a. Nancy)! Hello there! My name is Noodles, but when I get a little mischievous, you can call me Nancy! I was found as a stray in Detroit, and let’s just say it’s been quite a journey. When I first came into rescue, I was shutdown and didn’t know how to be a dog. I was scared of leashes and even of humans. But with lots of love and patience, I’ve come so far and am now ready to find my perfect family! We are unsure exactly how old I am and a lady never discloses that real information, but we're guessing I am around 6 years old. Also, a lady never says her weight, so let's just say I am less than a baby Rhino's weight . Another words, I'm perfectly imperfect.  I’ll be honest—sometimes I’m still a scaredy cat and fear my own shadow. But when I’m with my favorite humans, I shine ! It may take me some time to trust you, but I can assure you I am worth the wait! When you are my person, you are the love of my life. I am forever unconditionally yours. You will never have another loyal best friend like me.  I’m housebroken and sleep wherever I feel most comfortable—whether it’s curled up on the bed, snuggled on the floor, or snuggled in my own bed. Have you heard of Noodle sandwich? It's when my two favorite people are on each side of me giving me hugs and kisses! It's one of my absolute favorite lovins time.  While I rarely bark, I do let my humans know when it’s potty time or when I’m ready for some fun. The outdoors? Well, I’m not a big fan, to be honest. I’ll tell you when I’m ready to come back inside, thank you very much! An introverted home is my dream, and I would thrive with a family who understands my need for a quiet, calm environment. I’m not into exercise or long walks—what I really want is a cozy fenced yard where I can enjoy the fresh air while staying cool inside. I tend to get stressed around small children, so older humans or a quiet household without kids would be the best fit for me. Oh, and I prefer to be the only pet in the house—I really don’t like sharing attention! It's not that I am aggressive with other dogs. It's simple, I am an introvert and do not wish to socialize with other four-legged kind. Sadly, when I was found, the vet discovered I was heartworm positive. Thankfully, I have gone through heartworm treatment and am now ready to enjoy my life with a loving family. I’m looking for humans who appreciate the retirement lifestyle, those who want to relax at home, and perhaps not have a lot of company over. If you think you could be the perfect person to help me live my best life, I can’t wait to meet you!     DewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayed ADOPTION FEE: $250 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM.
