Story
Ziggy is a 4-year-6-month old Siberian Husky weighing 70 pounds. He came to the shelter due to his owner no longer being able to care for him. If you've never had a husky please do your homework before adopting one! Ziggy can be aloof when you first meet him. Time and attention will have him in your lap. He loves squeaky toys and plays well by himself. Is unsure with playing outside, tug or fetch are unknown to him. He is excited for walks but needs leash training and overall training in basic manners. He's very stubborn, (typical husky behavior)) knows commands but does what he pleases. Does well with strangers and car rides. Treat motivated & housebroken. Very fearful of veterinarian handling-sedation recommended. His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

My son purchased Laura 6 yrs ago and she has never been with anyone else. He moved and can no longer have her and due to my disabilities neither can I. She loves to run and is definitely not an apartment dog. She has her own cat …Puddy that she loves if anyone is interested in taking the pair. I hate to separate them. They both love to be outside.

Jack is very smart and wants to please. He would do well with having a job. He loves people and just wants to be with you. He will make an excellent companion in a home with no other pets. This boy is healthy and acts like a 4 year-old: no puppy training to do and no shoes to be chewed. He loves female dogs but can show dominance with males.

Story
Olga is beautiful. She loves affection and she's only 36 lbs! Olga is also Heartworm positive, which is totally treatable. The cost of the treatment is 100% paid for by the rescue. Your job, as a foster to adopt (or just foster her through her treatment) is to provide a calm environment for her to thrive in. She cannot have long walks or strenuous exercise that will raise her heart rate. What she can have is lots of love, cuddles, couch time, mental enrichment, and treats! Please reach out to us if you need more information. DO NOT let this stop you from giving this beautiful girl a new life. 6 months from now it will all be forgotten.

Story
Blu is 1 years old. His birthday is September 3rd. He has a lot of energy, Very playful, & loves cucumber. He love toys, especially the one that squeak! I do advise you to buy hard toys because he destroy almost all toys. He don’t really like baths but he’ll sit there when you tell him to. He do listen when you’re serious. I did train him a bit. He know sit, lay, paw, no, get out, outside, eat, spit it out-(he do put random things in his mouth)-, stay and stop. He needs a lot of attention.
