Story
Riley is a very energetic dog that loves to go on walks and runs. She is 4 yrs old. She would be perfect for a single person or a family that is active. She knows most commands like sit, lay, shake (both paws), dance she spins in a circle and dance pretty. She knows to take treats nicely when you say take it pretty. She gets along with other animals but is very curious. She knows how to speak with treats as well. She is a great learner with treats. My wife has lost her job recently and I am currently in school so we are unable to afford to keep her as we will be moving soon as well. She has been a great family pet but unfortunately due to these circumstances where we are moving we cannot afford the food and regular check up bills. The apt we have to move to as well due to this change in life does not allow pets. She is loving and will always be there when a belly rub is involved.

Story
Ziggy is a 4-year-10-month old Siberian Husky weighing 70 pounds. He came to the shelter due to his owner no longer being able to care for him. If you've never had a husky please do your homework before adopting one! Ziggy can be aloof when you first meet him. Time and attention will have him in your lap. He loves squeaky toys and plays well by himself. Is unsure with playing outside, tug or fetch are unknown to him. He is excited for walks but needs leash training and overall training in basic manners. He's very stubborn, (typical husky behavior)) knows commands but does what he pleases. Does well with strangers and car rides. Treat motivated & housebroken. Very fearful of veterinarian handling-sedation recommended. Due to his size, no small children, he will easily knock them over in his eagerness to play. His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

Story
Navajo ….. this boy is near perfect. No Husky drama. No talking back. He is so easy going. Whatever you throw at him, he just rolls with it. Navajo is a fun, playful, silly boy. He LOVES to be fussed over. He literally eats up all the attention and keeps coming back for more. He is an expert at working the room for pets and ‘ooh what a good boy’s :) :) :) Sometimes, he jumps up so he is up close and personal with you :) He is a level 5 out of 5 for friendliness, sweetness, and affectionateness :) We try to mediate affection time as Navajo can get over stimulated quickly and when he does, he belts out a soft growl and goes for little lovebites. Navajo’s love for life is the same with dogs. He loves every dog. Navajo is 3 years old, 50lb. He is looking for a family who doesn’t mind a little husky fur on their furniture, include him in family adventures and activities and lots of love and cuddles.
